A question for the experts...

I have the dinner rotation figured out but how does things work in regards to breakfast and lunch?? Is there a specific rotation for them as well? If so what times can you eat?

Thank you!!

You can eat breakfast and lunch pretty much anytime you want. The times and places wil be listed on your navigator. The only scheduled breakfast you have is the Character Breakfast if you opt to do it.

Did you get a stateroom yet or are you on GTY.

There isn’t a ‘rotation’ like dinner for breakfast and lunch. You are welcome to dine at various locations around the ship.

Room Service is available 24/7 from just after the sail away party...until late evening Friday.

Breakfast can be simple pastries at Cove Café [Deck 9, Midship] starting at 0700. You can go to a full buffet to include an omelet bar at Topsiders [Deck 9, Aft] from 0730 to 1045. Lumiener’s [Deck 3, Midship] offers table service from 0800 to 0930. Goofy’s Galley [Deck 9, Aft] has counter service from 0700 to 0930.

Lunch is a counter style service offered at Goofy’s Galley [Deck 9, Aft] from 1100 to 1830. Lumiener's [Deck 3, Midship] has a 'sit down' meal from 1130 to 1330. Parrot Cay [Deck 3, Aft] will host a buffet 1215 to 1330. Topsiders [Deck 9, Aft] have another buffet 1200 to 1400. Pinocchio's Pizzeria [Deck 9, Midshift] and Pluto's Dog Hours [Deck 9, Aft] have counter service from 1100 to 1800 (both continue till 2200 for another dinner option). AND...the sport pub, Diversions [Deck 3, Forward] opens at 1200 with limited offerings (simple bar fare).

The only exception is for our last morning. On Saturday morning, we will be offered a limited menu at the restaurant you dined at the evening before - think a continental type of breakfast. Or...you can go to Topsiders [Deck 9, Aft] for a breakfast buffet - minus the omelet bar.

Whew...now...I’m hungry – anyone else? One of my favorites is Eggs Benedict at Lumiener's. I’d be interested to hear from those that have sailed DCL before...what are some of your favorites?

The times listed above are from a Personal Navigator on a previous Eastern Caribbean sailing - January 2010. A Personal Navigator is your daily schedule of events delivered to your stateroom. This website and another have previous Personal Navigators posted for our review. I recommend spending some time looking (dreaming) at these. Granted...the above times posted and those listed for previous sailings can change. But...DCL has repeated similar activities/times from sailing to sailing. I consider these as a great ‘rule of thumb’ offering an overview of activities available on our sailing.

Should you want to review a link that contains numerous FULL WEEK Personal Navigators, please go to our Yahoo Groups web site. I just posted a new link that will take you directly to Navigators for previous Eastern sailings. I would post the link on this post – however...Dreams Unlimited/WDWinfo will not allow me to do so.

I am not sure how much time I’ll have ‘on-line’ over the next few days. So...I want to wish all Mothers...a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!! And to pass some advice I received very early in my marriage. My Brother shared with me that for special events (birthday, anniversary, Mothers day, and December holiday), gifts for your wife should ‘sparkle...shine...and HURT when you write the check’. Good luck gentleman.

Well...hope this finds all well.

Thanks for all the info Paul and Kevin.

Sure seems as though we will have lots of choices. With all the choices available I was curious what is everybody's favorite for both breakfast and lunch, restaurants and menu items. Kevin perhaps we could set up a poll on the yahoo group. :thumbsup2

Paul we are still GTY for our room. I will let you know when it changes.

On sea days I like eating at Lumieres for breakfast. If your lucky you may get your server or assnt. server if they are working that morning (you have to ask for them). On port days if I have an early excursion I'll go to Topsiders.
For lunch I check the Personal Navigator to find what the restaurant is serving (Mexican, Chinese, etc).

I'll be looking for PM when you get your stateroom:thumbsup2

Thought I had already done this, but didn't see it in the second post. I still need to find my cabin number but my family would like to participate in the fe exchange. 5(will turn 6 on cruise) year old daughter, husband (40) , self (35). Thanks.

Hi, Tanya. Sorry to have missed you all. I will add you now. I'd also like to welcome you to our cruise. We are going to have a lot of fun. I have been gone a few days. But hopefully, we can now start to get definitive dates, times and places for meets on the cruise.

Anyway, happy to have you and your family join us.

Hello, Everyone. I have been MIA again. Sorry about that.

I am back from spending a few days at Lackland AFB in Texas attending my nephew's graduation from Airforce Basic Military Training. Boy, what an exciting few days it was. I can not tell you all how proud I am of my little Boo-Boo Head (not so little anymore at 6'1")!!! It is truly amazing seeing the change in him. Although, always polite and courteous (that was one of the compliments that my mother was always receiving about him and his sister), he is more polished is the best way I can describe it.

I found 2 things really funny. One was the first time he said "Ma'am" when speaking with his grandmother. I nearly died laughing:rotfl:. I mean he's used to say that anyway, but it was just the way it is said now. It seems more respectful.

The other thing was when he said, "Auntie, you know, people REALLY don' pickup after themselves". I thought, so now you see what we had to go though with you. "Lauphiette, make your bed. Lauphiette, put those clothes in the hamper. Lauphiette, hang up those towels in the bathroom". Lauphiette, take that plate to the kitchen. Just too funny now. Evidently, he had a few stints doing KP.

Now, we have a much more mature and considerate young Airman. I did I mention he cuts a fine figure in that uniform. We are just really proud of him.

Well, anyway I am back and ready to really start to get this cruise planning underway.

I am going to post 2 polls. The first poll will be what should the cut-off date to participate in the FE be?

The second one is how to split up the FE.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know. I will post the polls on Wednesday, May 12th.

Yes I have started but I was waiting to see how the groups broke down and what ages I'll have in my group. Brenda when do you plan to close it off and break into groups?
I am frustrated with airfares right now. Have been watching for a while and they remain around $300pp. Really was hoping NOT to spend $1200 on airfare. In the next 12 months I have at least 17 airline tickets to purchase for various travel committments we have (weddings, christmas, graduation). UGH

I hear you Cindi, on the airfares. I am waiting to see if the flights that we want will go down.

I, too, have started with FE shopping but, really should break the group up a bit. I will set up a poll about cut-off dates and how to break up the group on Wednesday. Just let me know what your thoughts are.

PALO...PALO...PALO...PALO...PALO...At least for brunch and obviously you have to have a reservation. Lumiere's is good for breakfast to and occasionally topsiders - nothing like sitting on the deck, eating breakfast first thing in the morning.

Okay all you camera wiz's out there--for Mother's Day my wonderful husband bought me the Nikon D5000 that I have been longing for FOREVER! I am very excited but very much a beginner. I figure I have plenty of time to learn the camera and try different things before the cruise. I'll try not to ask TOO many questions but any helpful hints would be great! I've been lurking on the Photography board, but really much of it is above my head at this point. Is the best thing just use it and figure things out?? (And ask tons of questions!)
We're down to less than 170 days...whoo hoo! :cool1:

YEAHHHHH!!! What do you think about having the groups be 15-20 staterooms, and rotating who delivers on which day(which really makes it fun for the kids to get something every day). Just my thoughts....:rolleyes1:yay::grouphug:

That sounds great, Sherry!!! With a week cruise, that would be perfect. Now, the next step is to figure out what cabins to combine. I think groups that have a similiar age/people per cabin dimension should be good. What do you think?

Thanks for the response!! We hope try Palo. Keeping my fingers crossed we get in.....

Keep the responses coming everybody!! :thumbsup2

Congrats on the new gear and welcome to the Nikon family!!!! The D5000 is a great camera. Ask away when question arise I will do my best to help out. Also don't feel intimidated when on the photography board, there are lot good people over there willing to help. :thumbsup2

Also check out the internet as there are a lot of great tutorials out there to learn from. My biggest hint would be to learn as much as you can about aperture and shutter speed. Once you figure those two things out you'll be flying. Good luck and have fun!!!! :thumbsup2

I can't add anything that the Photo Guru hasn't. Will 'tag on to' some great words...learn from those who share their time and proven suggestions on the photography board. Some great people sharing great tips.

look forward in seeing some samples posted on these or our Yahoo Groups sites.

Guess...hubby read my brothers suggestions. k
