Reneé, Love the new picture! (But Lenny needs a haircut). :rotfl:

Renee,
have the gas prices in the USA risen so heavily that you had to trade in your car? :rotfl2:

Bette - glad to see that you're feeling well enough to post. And thankfully, it's finally over too!

Renee - Great picture of you and Haley. Where is it taken?

Mike - Cute picture of Katie too.

Well it snowed here overnight just as they said it would. The dog was excited to get out in it but I'm not. Since it's cold out too I don't think it will be melting anytime soon. Darn.

Had a great Dismeet yesterday. It always great to get together with other Disney fanatics. We meet people cruising on both Panama cruises too.

Fiona

Glad you are doing well Bette.

Loved Dayton 500 race yesterday. What a finish. Nascar could not have asked for a better 10 laps to finish the race (well we could have done without the cautions). I was cheering for both Jr and Jeff so either one finishing first was going to work for me. I just didn't want Tony Stewart to win.

We were to have a snowstorm yesterday, but only ended up with slush. To go up into the 40's today so will be all melted by tonight.

Now to do some work.

Nancy

Hi Everyone!
Bette-I've been lurking, but hope you're feeling better.

I'm excited! My 3 sisters and I are planning a "girls only" trip (our first)leaving the DH's and children at home. They want to go this fall. We looked into lots of options but came down to...you guessed it... a Disney cruise! It's their first time cruising and they've never met Mickey. We originally looked into other 4 day cruises to the Bahamas, but reading the critic boards and looking at photos, I just couldn't do it. They just didn't compare. I think they'll enjoy DCL. We're not gamblers and there's lots of adult-only stuff for us (pools, spa, palo, serenity bay). So, hoping to book it this week! So, now I'll get my DCL fix before Oct. 06 Yahoo!!!

Welcome back, Bette....glad to hear you're feeling better.

Renee: love the new photo......and Ave's remark about Lenny!!!!!!

To all my pals in PA: What is weather going to be like Thursday through Sunday?
Please tell me there is no snow on the way. How cold is cold? I gottas know how to dress because once I'm inside the natorium it will be like a sauna, so I prefer to wear very lightweight stuff.

Still no news to report......inspections are scheduled during the time we'll be gone so I guess we won't hear definitely until Monday. ST. JOE, ST. JOE HE'S OUR MAN; IF HE CAN'T DO IT, NOBODY CAN!

Michele,
our car is a Peugeot 206CC, a little French convertible with a retractable hardtop like the Mercedes SLK, but a bit more affordable and a bit more roomy as it is a 2 plus 2. Ours has a 2.0 litre 16 valve inline four with 136hp. It does 0-60mph in about 8.5 seconds, topspeed is about 135mph, mileage between 25 and 30mpg. It's fully loaded with rainsensing wiper, automatic headlights, GPS, CD-player, power windows, remote-controlled power locks, automatic retractable roof, fully automatic a/c, heated leather seats, 16'' alloys, etc. Here's a link to the manufacturer's UK homepage: Peugeot UK
I thought you might prefer that to the French or German site :earboy2:

Eric, Sounds NICE!! We are into big cars right now, but a nice sporty car would be fun too! Hhhmmm, maybe once the boys are driving their own cars, we'll get us a little sporty one. Until then, it's the Mamamoble for me!

Jeanne--- I would do jeans and layers. I always wear a turtleneck and then have a sweater that can be off or on depending on the weather. Even the days it is in the 40's it is not that warm unless you are sitting in the car with the sun beating on you.

There was a petting zoo and mini carnival at the convention center near our house yesterday so we went. They had camels, ponies, goats, llamas and a kangaroo. There were supposed to be elephants too, but since it was inside, there was a space issue. She had a blast feeding and petting the animals.

Avé - Lenny laughed at your comment.

That's has to be the most original and innovative prayer I have heard in a long time. :rotfl: Hope it works. *crossed fingers*

Bette & Kim - So glad to hear the good news. Recover quickly but recover completely please!

I should have taken notes.... too much to remember...

We are fine and well, but perhaps a bit cold, here in NY.

Happy 15th birthday to Sarah! (a bit belated)

Betty, glad to hear you are doing well. :goodvibes Lots of Pixie Dust your way!!!
Welcome to the new cruisers. Glad to have you with us.

We have been working non-stop, getting the house ready for sale. It is now on the market and we are FINALLY finished! About 30 people have looked at it so far, but no offeres yet :confused3

Jeanne...have a safe trip! Don't worry about the inspection :cool1: Love the cheer!

Laura....lucky YOU! Have a great time!

Daytona 500 was VERY exciting. I still wish Mark Martin had won, but 6th place is pretty good with all his troubles.

Hello to the "Lurker" :flower: (you know who you are!)

.......Going to a dismeet in Hamilton tomorrow which should be fun. There's supposed to be around 27 of us so it could be interesting. ........
Hi Fiona - How did the meet go? By any chance was Kim (Snowwark) there?

.......Regarding Survivor: ...... I am partial to Tom since he is from Long Island and he seems to be a nice guy.....
I agree with you Arlene for the same reasons! :sunny:

My niece called from Boston the minute the show ended. She was SO UPSET that Wanda did not get picked for a team. My niece wanted to hear all of the songs the crazy lady made up for the game! And my niece is quite partial to the "dorky" guy who got to the island first. I can't remember his name. She tells me that he's the kinda guy she likes.

Thanks for the latest update Eric. Great job as always.

I do plan on writing up something for the Newsletter but never seem to get around to it. I am a big procrastinator after all, you know....

;) AAARGH, I caught another cold :cold: Went to our doc this morning and he ruled that I have to stay at home til Friday. But this will give me time to work on the CruzLetter and reduce my DVD-backlog

BETTE ... hope you're better and better every day.

Eric ... Know what you mean about the cold ... Art & I seem to be passing this darn cold back and forth - back and forth. Just wish I could roto rooter my sinus's cause they're pounding.

OMG ... Love the camel picture! The darn camel seemed like he was posing too.

Neat surprise when I got to work today ... Christine (my co-worker) did a spur of the moment day trip to NY City with her sister to see "The Gates" in Central Park and brought me back a sample of the material they used. Really cool. She's such a nice person!

Favor to ask you guys ... my nephew is getting married in Aug 2006 and is having MM as the theme. Do any of you guys know if there is a way we can get a MM cake topper, Cake Knife and Champagne Flutes that they sell only at the parks? I thought I remember somebody having a site we could search and do this. Since we're not set on when we will be at WDW, I thought it would be nice to have an alternative shopping method. THANKS GUYS ...

Oh well, back to work.

If you let me know exactly what you're looking for, I'm sure that we'll be over there at least within the next couple of weeks. Actually, we're there, on average, at least once a month.

Rosemary - Kim was at the dismeet. Finally had a chance to meet her in person. Very nice. I had forgotten that you knew her.

Why is work such work???

Can't seem to get anything done today. Course the fact that I didn't have a computer for the morning might have something to do with that but still.

Back to work I guess.

Amy - how often do you go to WDW - when we were there they were releasing a new series of pins - Walt's Legacy. I actually like them and got the first two but am now wondering about how to get the rest as they are released. I don't know when they are set to release the next one although I think it's monthly.
