I have some very exciting news to report (and then I really must get packing!):

We will very soon have 2 more cruisers to add to our list. I just learned that we are being joined by Wendy and Doreen (from Aberdeen, Scotland). These are 2 of the nicest, most fun-loving people to ever grace DCL and I just know they are going to have a blast with this group. Wendy is a veteran Disney cruiser and poster and I expect her to jump onto this forum very soon. When that happens, please give her a rousing Cruistoberfest welcome! (BTW, Wendy's mum, Doreen is a real hoot and I shudder to think of what will happen when she hooks up with Bette!)

Hi all
Well I can officially say we are joining you as Jeanneg now knows - I'll be kind and not say what she was going to do if we booked!! Mum and I were fortunate to cruise with John and her twice. This will be our 6th Magic cruise - we rebooked last week on the West Coast cruise. I am a 36 year old High School teacher here in Scotland while my mum (Doreen) is a 72 year nut who is going through her second childhood - favourite ride is Tower of Terror, she loves parasailing and did a NASCAR drivealong at WDW this last trip. I haven't read all my way through this thread but will - I cannot wait to meet you onboard!

Welcome aboard Wendy and Mum The sound of the Scottish dialect will be a most welcomed additon to all of the melting pots of folks from all over. I am bilingual myself, I speak English and bad English. Since we are from Tennessee in the southern US we may throw a few yalls and over yonders on you from time to time. Had the pleasure of cruising with Sam and JeanneG last October and going to pineapple beach with them. Sam loves to ride in the taxi's on Antigua.

Shame, SHAME on you, Mike......you got the jean(ne)s mixed up again! Sam belongs to jeanniec who both joined you on Pineapple Beach. (I only heard the hilarious turtle stories via the grapevine) I'm the one who had her parasailing cancelled and I belong to John! And since we both live in North Carolina it's even more confusing! Repeat this over and over, Mike....."There are 2 Jean(ne)s on Cruisetoberfest!"

I know how excited she and her daughter Hope are about it - we met up with them at WDW in July. I am jealous of the room tour - I think it is a great idea. You certainly need to start packing now!

Jeanne - what did you think of his new film - Mum and I loved it! Could we not bombard DCL with a request for him to sail with us for Pirates night?!

Well my doc is back from Mexico, so it was back to job #1 today. Very busy, but that's a good thing, right?
Mike, glad you had fun with R&R. Are they headed back to NY now?

The house is coming along, the shower and bathtub were delivered today. And some of the windows have been installed. But still a long way to go.

Ave, they are on their way and should arrive back on Long Island tomorrow or Wednesday. Rosemary has to be at work on Thursday morning.

Robin we have cruised with some of our friends on the thread for 3 or 4 cruises on the magic. Our first Cruisetoberfest was on 9/22/2001. Eleven days after the attack on the world trade centers. It is just so good to see people on the ship that you have cruised with before or met on the boards. There is no obligation to spent time with one another. Everyone does their own thing or some of us hang out together. Just a nice ice breaker to already know folks. Mike

Thanks Mike! I couldn't agree with you more! Spending two weeks with Kim and Bette, they feel like family now. Two of the most wonderful people I have ever met. Same goes for Peter, Jenn, Ashley, and Karen. Even though the repo cruise was a very special event, I hope that even with the 7 day, I can make new friends for a lifetime. I'm sure I will be a member of the boards for many years to come, if not forever. I just love how everyone is so friendly, and we all share a common love....cruising Disney! I can't wait to meet everyone!

Thanks Wendy, I know just what you mean about meeting people that you want to keep in touch with forever. Funny about Johnny Depp. On the repo cruise, we were all hoping he would be one of the "guest" appearance people. No such luck....but we can all dream? LOL
