The correct info is... Saturday December 17, 2005. You are welcome to arrive anytime you like (that day) , but officially the party kicks off by 6 pm. If you come earlier which is perfectly fine, just be prepared to be put into service getting ready... DO NOT plan on eating dinner before the party...

Children are always welcome, this year we are starting a little something else at the party. We are asking everyone to bring an unwraped toy for a child . We will have the USMC come to the house and they are going to pick up the toys.

Dress: CASUAL !!!! I would suggest you dress in layers, when the house gets full in can get quite a bit warmer.

Glad everyone got through the storms ok. It looked nasty on the news last night. Here we will be having a heat wave for the week (again). Up to 34 today but will feel warmer with the humidity.

Yeah Kay!! I haven't booked this cruise yet, but I will when we are on the DVC cruise in Sept. I cruised with this group for Cruisetoberfest II, and can't wait to cruise with them again!!!!

papa...looks like you might have to build an ark from the rain that you are going to get from Dennis....I thought that we would get hammered later on in the week but the weatherman said that it will stall somewhere over Indiana/Illinois and that's it. Glad all of our Florida cruisers dodged this bullet. Let's hope that this new tropical depression in the Atlantic turns out to be nothing! Great weather here today.

DH went from night school to day school (at least for the summer)--school started at 8:00 a.m. and he was up way before 6:00 a.m. and proceeded to wake everyone up and left the house at 7:00 a.m. Sam doesn't like to be late but this is ridiculous....we live 10-15 minutes from the school. I on the other hand left my house at 8:21a.m. had to drop Sarah off at her job (about 1/2 mile from our house) and had to run into work since it was 8:32 a.m. (although my boss never says anything when I am late since I am always here way past my quitting time of 5:00 p.m.)!! Oh well..opposites attract!

Still hot and humid here -- with the humidex it feels like it's in the 40'sC. Only 3mm of rain since early June so we are way below the normal rainfall and I don't think that the remains of Dennis are going to hit us either.

A little excitement at our house last night though -- the dog was chasing a chipmunk and fell in the pool. Luckily Jim and I were in the backyard at the time and Jim fished her out. She wasn't very happy but it should have cooled her off a bit since the heater isn't working.

Back to work.

Temps over here are in the lower 30ies (Celsius, of course). The beaches at the Baltic Sea and at the North Sea are as hot as in the Mediterranean, but unfortunately in the South of Germany and in Austria there is a flooding problem: Many villages and small towns are three to four feet under water after several days of constant torrential rain in the Alps. We were very lucky, that the weather was so fair when we toured Vienna last week. In France, Spain and Portugal they are having a drought, temps of 40°C (104°F) and more and dozens of forest fires.
