1/3/09 Magic - First Time To St. Croix

Anyone decide on excursions yet?

Brack, how is JoJo? Have you heard from Angie and Dennis?

We'll probably do one of the island tours.

JoJo is much better and almost back to normal. Today is the first day we have left him in his kennel for about 5 hours. Thanks for all of the prayers.

I have read some post from Dennis and Angie on our old cruise thread. They are doing fine in their new home and have done some travel in their motorhome.

Since sadly, cost is a major contributing factor for us, we will be doing:
walking tour in St. Thomas
West Side tour in St. Croix

They actually both look pretty interesting. Although we've been to St. Thomas on 2 previous cruises, we've always ferried over to St. John so this will be our first time seeing the island. At St. Croix, obviously getting to the Cruzan factory held a great deal of appeal, and that tour wasn't any more expensive than the others...woo hoo!

FE's and Shirts:
What's our count on each? I think at last count we were about 20 on each...have we decided on a cutoff date for either?

On another note...Khakismum and I are headed to WDW next week for food and wine...anybody want anything while we're there????

We are paid in full, just in time to register online and reserve our excursions Saturday. We are still trying to decide on St Croix. Since we have cruised to St Thomas twice, and did the St John tour once, I think we may do a beach day on St John. It was so beautiful and peaceful there. (maybe I can stalk Kenny Chesney while we are there )

OK...I admit it...I'm techno challenged. BUT, I can't find anywhere on the DCL website to make a payment...is it there and I'm just missing it, or do I have to call them, which could be tricky doing w/o my kids hearing!

We booked onboard our last cruise, then transfered it to DU, so our final paymnet was made to DU. Sorry I can't help you.

I think that you can but we also transferred to DU this trip. I know that we can on their website.

Ok, we're CC Members and we are paid in full becausewe used our DVC point but I was not able to access anything because I got the message about the 75, 90, and 105 day thing. Has any other CC Member been able to get through yet?

According to the packet I received from DCL, the CC date is Sunday the 5th, so try it again about midnight. The website also reported that date when I tried to fill out the online forms.

but isn't it 3 am eastern, so it's midnight pacific??? I seem to recall that from cruises past.
And...I did get an answer to my question about payment...since we went through a well known Dis travel agent, and we're under a group reservation, I had to pay her directly. NP...taken care of well, at least 1 of our 2 reservations....

Woo hoo I booked our shore excursions this morning, We're doing the jeep tour in St Croix and the helmet diving in St Thomas. I'm so excited, I'm ready to leave now.

we are there Jan1 and Jan 2..we will be on the beach Jan1 at The Poly to see fireworks at about 9pm I think ..that might be a good spot to have an informal meet ?? anyone else have suggestions

I have been so busy with life and a new dog. I have not had time to think about the cruise but yesterday was our big family day to plan and book our excursions.(wow I can not wait to go!!)

We are going to Saratoga for 5 days before so we will be on site for New Years eve any suggestions for things to do except the parks?


We will have my 15 year old son. any other teenagers on board around his age?

We booked Magens beach day on St Thomas (so Kenny is safe, I won't be on St John) and Christiansted Walking Tour on St Croix. After the walking tour we will return to ship for lunch and then either rent a car or get a taxi to go to Point Udall (we have to decide which, I vote taxi).
