1/3/09 Magic - First Time To St. Croix

We will be in staying in the All Star Movie Resort Thursday and Friday before the cruise. We won't be going to any parks but we will be spending a lot of time at Downtown Disney and Celebration. A meet would be fun.

I have been so busy with life and a new dog. I have not had time to think about the cruise but yesterday was our big family day to plan and book our excursions.(wow I can not wait to go!!)

We are going to Saratoga for 5 days before so we will be on site for New Years eve any suggestions for things to do except the parks?

We will have my 15 year old son. any other teenagers on board around his age?

Our group from Georgia has quite a few coming...1 15yob, 1 16 yog, 1 15 yo girl and 1 14 yo girl

We're actually driving down very early on the morning of the 2nd, and going to the space center. I haven't been since I was very young and living in the area. My son is very interested in the space program. We've been to a couple other bases, and I think he'll really enjoy this. I think sunshine girl and big daddy don are going with us.:grouphug:

Did anyone get (or try) to get a Palo brunch on this cruise. We Tried at the 90 day mark and there were only dinners available.

Hey! Sorry to bother you guys. I have a quick question, and I am hoping that some of you guys can help. We are planning to book a cruise for the first week of Jan 2010, but the prices aren't out yet. Can any of you guys who booked early for the first week of 2009 tell me how much you paid for the cruise? I am trying to decide between a couple of dates, but I have no clue what to expect. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Didn't try this cruise and we'll probably not do either lunch or dinner. I liked lunch with some of our DISFriends on the last cruise but I'm fine with not doing it again.

We have never done dinner because we LOVE  the dinner rotation with our tablemates.

We didn't try to get Palo reservations. We also like the dining rotation with new friends.
Slow day at work today (in my office of 4) I am the only working today. Everyone else is off for the holiday. But the main office is almost fully staffed. So it is an I-pod day for me. Listening to island music while I work. It is a beautiful day here in Chicagoland, I think I can sit in the yard and read when I go home.
Brack, what is Nottingham MD near? I was looking at an atlas today and couldn't find it. (Can you tell it's quiet here?).

You can actually use Baltimore as the city address. We are northeast of Baltimore proper in Baltimore county. It is very close to the north junction of I95 and I695. Other communities are Perry Hall and White Marsh.

Hey that's my quote!! Whenever I jump in on the "Do we really have to sit with iccky strangers at dinner" threads. We only went to Palo for dinner on the EB PC repo in 2005 - anniversary and all you know:love::love:

hey all!

I just booked the screamin eagle and wild side excursions for my 15 yo son.

anybody else have booked these or know if they are fun? or, as he would say, "sick"! lol

also booked a manicure and pedicure for my mother inlaw as well as high tea at palo, was not able to get brunch yet!

am I missing any other must do activities?

I am so lucky, my partner got us all tickets to LaNouba for the 30th of december; I can't wait!

Welcome, :yay: I'm sure you will enjoy DCL.

Anyone have plans to book another cruise while onboard? I would like to, but now we are thinking of trying some all-inclusive resorts instead. I figure it's like cruising without the seasickness.:tilt: But I won't have any DIS friends there.:sad2:
