09/28/2002 Cruise

Thank you for the welcome. It was so sad to have missed the March cruise. It was over a month before I unpacked. I'm just about totally recovered. By September, I should be at 100%.

We are excited to sail the new itinerary. We'll be looking for information on excursions (on our own). DH wants to see the ruins and snorkel. My girls are 10 and 8 and can keep up with their dad.

Is it September yet?

Vonda

Welcome to all the new faces. We are going to practically take over the ship.

mlshields: we have one son age 9. He lives in the club when on board. We have to drag him out of there.

How many people are you at Cruiseears?
Wil you beat the cruisetoberfesters (About 120 people on the list and finally about 80 on the ship)?

Welcome to VondaP and Mlshields! So glad you've joined us! As you will see when you get the updated list I have a DD 12 and DS 5. I'm sure our kids will have fun together at the clubs and elsewhere.
Rellingtwin and family departed this morning :( Sorry to see them go. We had a great time together. But happy to have my puter back. :D

Greetings to all! Ave

Not as many as last year Eric. We have plenty of time until Cruisetoberfest II to drum up more cruisers:D Glad that you got your puter back Ave;)

Hi Mike,
my puter is nearly OK, it was a defective cooler. Now I've got a new mainboard, memory, graphicsboard and CPU. The technician only had the wrong cooler delivered, so I have a makeshift cooler now, but next week I'll get the right one. The computer was fit for the web the whole time, because surfing doesn't stress the CPU, so the defective cooler didn't cause problems, but as soon as it had to work tougher jobs, like picture processing or CD-writing it overheated and just broke down.

How many Cruisers are you this time?

BTW, the main brand for Schnaps in Germany now sells its stuff in little plastic bottles containing one shot each. The mini-bottles are sold in little bags containing 10 each and looking like candy-bags (We are so decadent, aren't we?).
So for the next sailaway party we already know what to bring ;) as these containes practically weigh nothing and are ideal for air-transport.

Eric about 13 families so far. Not all of them are interacting with us so it is probably about 9 families so far. No where near the number we had last year. It is June the 1st so has the new convertible arrived yet??????????

@Goofynut and Relling twin are thinking about joining us on the 10/11/2003 cruise. I will send the deposit for ours in a couple of weeks. Mike

Rae519 has forward her info and I have updated the list. I am waiting for her e-mail address so I can include her in the update.
As of today we have 13 families (15 when I add Vonda and Michael and Lauren) for a total of 26 adults and 15 children(again more when recent additions are added:D )

Our trip to Panama City Beach was wonderful (Thanks again Ave!) but it is nice to be home in Charleston. TwinAve and I did some MAJOR planning! We were so glad recent Navigators from Western trip were available! We poured over menus, deck plans, pictures, excurtions, and trip reports! SUCH FUN! Our hubbys think we have lost our minds!

I am so glad to see our group growing! Remember I have lanyards for everyone on the LIST!!!I will give them out at the sail-a-way get together. Cathy is going to make name tags that we can hang from our lanyards, AND T-shirts are in the works! So if you have not already...get me your information!

October 11th - Two thousand and Three!!!!

We will be there!

Umm, but we need to wait a bit before we put our deposit down. Just helped teenson purchase a 1999 Chevy S10 pickup and the very next day our Chevy Astro van blew its transmission!! $Big Bucks for that repair!!!! Plus, college costs coming up and that bathroom we want to redo. . . and I owe my sister money for the Billy Joel/Elton John tickets we are so graciously taking off their hands! :D

But let it be known, Rich and I are definitely planning to be on the 2003 cruise. Just the two of us! :D

Rosemary and Rich,

it's great to hear from you and even greater to hear that you also intend to cruise with us - And this time it's daily aerobic for you :jester: BTW, could you please send us the link for the internet-photoalbum again, I lost when I switched computers :(
Sorry about your transmission, I can feel with you: When our car had just 30000mls on the odometer we needed a new one too and it cost about 2500 bucks

Mike,
no, we're still waiting for it, but according to the logistics center of the manufacturer it was produced this week and delivery from France should take 8 to 14 days.

Yes Eric... I remember dipping the kraut! I think that whole section of the Castaway Beach remembers too. Did we have a lot of fun on that cruise.....now to get up the $ for October 2003. I see Rosemary and Rich are also going to try. Now all we have to do is pray that all our nations keep their cool and don't have any terrorist screwing things up like they had.

Art's out staining a wooden glider chair he made for our front porch and Ashlee is pounding on the front door .... gotta go check on those two.

Mike & Kathy ... keep an eye out for the mailman and let me know what you think of the logo, etc.

Cathy, perhaps Disney can hire AshLee- Just in case they want to make "103 Dalmatians". And her salary is two cruise tickets :jester:
We're in the process of talking two german friends into booking the cruise too. Next time I intend to bring reinforcements to protect me on CC :D
Yes, the fear of another terrorist attack or a war is also our biggest concern, but not going back to normal just lets the bad guys win!! Let's just hope that the united forces of our countries kick some a** and have this threat removed.

PS: The two friends perhaps coming with us, are my ex-wife and her husband. So maybe they're gonna help you dipping me :smooth:

BTW, I have already started a thread for Cruisetoberfest II titeled:
Cruise 10/11/2003
So feel free to post there, too.

Just thought I would share with everyone that my grandfather just passed away. He had minor same day surgery on Friday, was released, complained of chest pain and died of a heart attack that night. I feel so sorry for my grandmother. They were married for 65 years and she says she keeps waiting for him to come home. He was in excellent health for his age and still lived independently. I've never had a close family member die before and I'm still very numb.

Tiiiigergirl...so sorry to hear of your Grandfathers passing:(
You and your family will be in our prayers.

Tiiiigergirl our hearts go out to you on your loss. We will keep you in our prayers. Mike

OK Gang, version 5.0 of "THE LIST" is in your mail box!
Rae519...if you send me your e-mail I will send you a copy also!

Shelly,
