We leave for disneyland in five days. Can't wait. Think I am more excited than the six year old!!

I hadn't really looked at the itinerary much for the WEstern cruise, but have been reading some reports and it seems like some people miss the extra day(s) at sea. Where do I find the itinerary? I liked the days as sea also.

I just saw your post! Are you planning on the 9/28 date now? That's GREAT!

I'm still being superstitious about officially signing us up for this cruise. Riker (the best Schnauzer in the universe) is doing really well right now. We have upped his insulin dosage, and he has the energy of a puppy again. We're keeping our fingers crossed for his continued good health.

What a nice bunch of DIS-ers this cruise will have!

did you change/improve the appearance of the list in relation to our list? If so, please send me a copy or a blank list and I start working on Cruisetoberfest II. Otherwise I use our old one.

Today I informed my boss of our plans to travel to the States for 4 1/2 weeks and he said, that this shouldn't be a problem. I hope that it will be the same with Anja's ward, but we have to wait til January for it.

Cathy SIL was released from the hospital this afternoon. It wasn't a heart attack after all. Probably a combo of heat, humidity, and blood sugar gone crazy. He is at home now. Thanks for pixie dust.

Mike & kathy ... Tha't good news about your SIL. I was worried for you guys. Did you see the big brown envelope in the box? It has my logo try and some iron-on's. I have the site address somewhere (presently MIA) as soon as I can, I'll send it to you. Maybe that will help with digitizing.

Presently I'm working on an idea for name-tags and will let you know when they're done and with any luck I'll e-mail to all on Mary's list.

Well back to work ..... (gotta pay for this trip somehow!)

Howdy! Been lurkin!

Sold our house. Can BARELY afford the new one. To console myself about new MUCH higher payments....told DH we should book our 9/28 to make ourselves feel better.

My mom is here from Houston to celebrate DDs 3rd birthday! WHIPPPPEEEEEEE!!!! She can go into the clubs...but now we also pay more for her.....

Let's all say a prayer and send some pixie dust the way of that poor 14 year old kidnapped in Utah....how awful that is for her and her family. I saw it on TV this morning and I can't imagine being ripped out of your safe place (bedroom) and taken away at that age ... actually any age.

Well, we are within "spitt'n distance" of the 100 day mark. I do remember that from 100 to about 20 goes by REALLY FAST! But those last 3 weeks TAKE FOREVER.

Anyone done any cruise shopping?
Here is my plan:

JUNE: 1)get the family swimsuites (I waited too long last year and all the swimsuites were gone!)2) buy 6 rolls of film and 2 underwater cameras

JULY:1) Have Tux and formal dress cleaned and pressed, 2)buy bath room stuff (toothpaste, shampoo,conditioner ect) and pack it away.3) make sure everything fits! Last year the kids grew out of their dress shoes and I had to buy more at the last min.

AUGUST: 1)Get car serviced 2)pay for Radisson room 3) buy more film!4) arrange for boarding service for the animals.

SEPT:EVERYTHING ELSE!LOL!
So you see ....we REALLY are getting close!

One thing that I found worked for me last cruise was to have my tux cleaned on board. Since I have my own tux (that I purchased on etuxedo.com) and it sounds like George does to, having it cleaned on board insures it is nicely pressed and not wrinkled from being packed in the luggage. The on board cleaning was not that much more than at home. I did give it to the room steward first thing when I got my luggage Saturday night and had it in plenty of time for formal night on Sunday.

Now if DCL catches on and raises their cleaning prices, that could throw a monkey wrench in to my plans, but just have to check with recent cruisers prior to trip.

The Laundry Service slip I grabbed from my last cruise has a 2 piece suit cleaning at $7. Three piece suit is $9. Those are the regular service prices for next day by 5 PM. For same day service pickup by 9 AM and return by 5 PM it is an additional 50%. Express service in 3 hours is 100% additional. I think compared to most prices on a curise this is a bargin.

By the way there is a pressing only service for 50% of dry cleaning price as well.

For the ladies, evening dresses have a regular price of $8.00

I didn't get the 5.0 update either. I will try emailing you to make sure you have my correct address. If you type it in you might have left out one of the i's. I don't know why I did that to myself when I gave myself a screen name. Thankfully my parents were much more sensible.

Just saw the magic go by on two palms and we liked to have had a heart attack. There was a big cloud of smoke at the aft funnel and I though oh no not again. Then it cleared and my heart slowed down.

Kathy and I are going to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga tomorrow to view the sea horse exhibit. That is the closest that we will get to the ocean until we cruise.

Mary .... LMAO at your "cruise list/schedule". I thought that I was the only one doing that.

I've started to make the name tags with our logo so i don't have them to do all at once, IF YOU DO NOT WANT A NAME TAG, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ... IF THE NAME YOU WANT IS NOT HOW YOU LISTED IT ON MARY'S LIST, ALSO LET ME KNOW.
They will be laminated and hole-punched so they go on the laynards that Mary is bringing for everyone. They can be picked up at either the Raddison the night before ... for the group that is staying there ... or at the sail away, overlooking the Goofy Pool.
It'll be a nice FREE souvenior (Spelling?) of our DIS Cruisear!



Anyone watching the NASCAR race today ... I live about 17 miles from the race track. Needless to say, the natives stay as far away from there as possible cause it is a real traffic nightmare. Given all of the rain we had and the fact that some of the roads were screwed up with flash floods, etc!


ANYONE with a bad back and wants a nice portable massager.... K-Mart has a Homemedics one on sale this week like the one I have. Works on household electricity or can be plugged into the car cig lighter for traveling to and from "the Port". It's in the Sunday newspaper flyer we got. ATTN....MiKE!

Gotta a few more things I want to clear up before parking in front of the Tube to watch the race.
