Carol and I try to make it to the Blue Bayou each time we go. We love it! Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the service has always been good and it's a nice quiet setting. Of course, we usually go for lunch.

It's certainly not a place I would take kids though. I don't think they'd find anything they liked and you'd be paying quite a bit for something they most likely wouldn't appreciate.

That is the thing about food - ask twenty people - get twenty opinions.

We did take kids and that probably did influence my thoughts. I have heard that lunch is better than Dinner.

We are actually stopping in California for a few days on our way back from Hawaii (gotta love DVC). My official reason is to help with the time change. My real reason, I gotta go to Disneyland. We are going to stay at the DLH on points. Stayed at the Grand Californian on our last trip on points - absolutely loved it. This time we wanted to try the DLH.

Hawaii- nice. When we were stationed in Guam we had a really hard time with the time change coming back. Going wasn't bad but getting all those hours back was bad. My kids were 5 & 8 and no one was happy. We stayed in Hawaii for a week coming back it was so nice. Some day I would like to get back.

We are still making all our travel arrangements, is anyone staying near the port on Sat. night? I believe that is what we will be doing, as we have to meet up with my wifes Aunt and Uncle. As the weather warms up here I am starting to get into the "mode". LOL

I wish we were, but I really didn't want to head there for just a night as our flight doesn't get to Orlando until 3PM. I have been reading about the "meet" before the cruise on this thread, and we tried to plan for it, but it just didn't work out.

We have done both. It's nice to relax the night before. Grills is nice for dinner on the water or the pizza place next to the Raddisson has really good pizza.

Do you know if we can leave a car at the Raddisson if you stay Sat. night before the cruise, I thought I had read that somewhere.

Yes you can, but I think it adds $30.00 a night to your room. If you do make a reservation for the shuttle ahead of time if you want to be there early. The only issue is after the cruise and every one is trying to get back at the same time. It took us a while.
