What is this? please explain? Sandy

If you don't know then it's too late. The deadline was a month ago or so. What it is though is a gift exchange. We make or buy things to hand out to all who signed up. We have a Fish Extender, which is where you get FE from, that hangs from your fish outside your door. The FE has pockets and that is where the goodies are delivered to. It's a lot of fun! Make sure to sign up for it on your next Disney cruise!

Question for y'all - I found some name badge insert refills at work today and I was thinking I could print them out and we could put them on our lanyard where we keep our room keys. I was thinking I could do our real names, disboard name and maybe our avatar. What do you think - worth it or not?

I like the idea but cringe at the thought of all the work for you. pixiedust: :flower3:

Okay I found my source. It is what Milford has posted on the first page. But when he wrote it he was assuming a 4 pm Muster Drill. Since we now believe the Drill is at 3:45, should we advance the Meet? We would need to do our whole meet in a half hour and allow folks 15 minutes to get back to their cabins.

I've never been to one, so I'm not sure if that's enough time? Alternatively, we could ask people to show up early for some social time, then hold the "meeting/information" part shortly after 3pm for anyone who didn't hear about the change.

What do we need to cover? Hand out the Mini-Navigators, remind people of our DISonly events, remind people who want to join us on Deck 12 for the Sail Away Party, and maybe some thank you's? It sounds like we can do that in a half hour. If we also want to socialize and/or take photos, that could take a while.

Should we say Cocktail Hour 2:30pm and Meet & Greet 3:00pm Sharp?

PS Here is what Milford posted, "These are the three venues that according to DCL do not have anything planned during boarding: District Lounge or Skyline Lounge or 687 Lounge These all appear to be about as large as the Promenade Lounge was on the Wonder."

I just picked 687 Lounge, because it sounds most interesting to me. Does anyone know if any of the venues has a raised stage that we can stand on to make announcements? And have we ever tried to reserve a lounge in the past?

2:30 - 3:00 Social Hour

3:00 - 3:30
Pick up Mini-Navigator on the way into the (687?) Lounge
Run through times for DIS-only events (Coffee club, Wine club, Parrot Head gathering, Pirate photos, Cabin tour, & Sports club)
Remind people to gather on Deck 12 forward immediately following the Muster Drill (point to people on B2B who scoped out a spot for us).
Remind people to gather near the Boat Harbor Beach for the DVC photo.
Run through Thank You's for those who volunteered for various jobs here.
Have Dan and/or Junior remind folks about the TOTWL fireworks viewing and Dan & Sue's Vacation Ending Bash at BLT
Award Prizes.

I think it can still eaisly be done in a half hour, as long as we get most of the socialization done before 3pm, right?
We can make sure that everyone I want to thank is near 'center stage' and ready for the Thank You's.
 
Good Morning everyone! I'm "blue" this morning because I feel like I should be doing the backstroke! OMG! Terrible thunderstorms all night long - didn't sleep a wink! Flooding in this area is REALLY bad!

Thanks! It's a good thing that this little town I live in happens to be one of the highest points in South Jersey - so dry we are for the moment! But I really really hate thunderstorms! :scared1:
