Question for y'all - did you purchase trip insurance? We have never purchased it. I'm trying to figure out if we should. What's ya think?

GOOD MORNING!!!! WE USUALLY ONLY TAKE OUT TRIP INSURANCE IN THE WINTER. FOR EXAMPLE WE ARE DOING 14 DAY CRUISE IN FEB IN THE CARIBBEAN. SINCE WE FLY OUT SAME DAY AS CRUISE WE WORRY ABOUT SNOW UP HERE. THIS YEAR WE ALSO TO MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR THAT CRUISE, WE ARE GETTING OLD:scared1:

Hi Everyone,
Have not been on in a long time. Finally caught up with the last few weeks of posts. Finishing all our FE's now and starting to pack. Its coming quickly! I have seen that people are getting insurance. We never have before and I would like to now. Can anyone tell me how to get started? Also, anyone staying at CIS the night before?

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibesHappy Thursday Everyone! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
:banana::banana::banana:Only 23 days before the Cruise :banana::banana::banana:

I'm thinking that we'll probably pass on the trip insurance. We're flying down a day before the cruise and if necessary we can stay at our friends house down there if the cruise was delayed. :)

Welcome Back! :)
I don't know about trip insurance, but here's a clicky hosted by Carmouse10 (Andy), a quick summary of who's staying where before/after the cruise.

Good morning Wally, you and Terrie stay safe and dry! :thumbsup2
Good Morning DISpeeps!
First of all Hi :wave2: and :welcome: to all the new posters! Looking forward to getting to know you all :goodvibes
Now that I'm sort of caught up with real life ... blech ... I think I will attempt some semblance of a trip report from our D23 Expo/mini DISmeet with Jennifer (peloha86) and her DH Allan (sp?).
(It's actually AllEn, but that's on a good day, I call him other things when I get upset. :lmao:)
Pre California: While in Indiana at my work conference (double blech) Milford (disrailfan) and Shawn (mousefan64) stopped by the hotel and we had a micro mini DISmeet :banana: which was the highlight of my work conference. Thank you to both :worship:
Rather than fly from Indiana on Wednesday and back to Ft. Lauderdale to just hop on a plane Thursday and waste a day flying, I decide to leave from the work conference straight to California and Wally flew from Ft. Lauderdale that night to meet me there. I managed to pack for the work conference, (uniforms, business casual) and the California trip and fit everything in one suitcase :cool1: According to Dan (Truffle) and Sue (clayfolks) I can fit inside the suitecase in still have room :rolleyes1 They saw my suitcase at the Chicago DISmeet. Granted I had to sit on the suitcase to get it shut though. No room for Duffy & Shellie May so Wally brought them for me :thumbsup2 On Thursday we got a one day park hopper and went to Disneyland

and California Adventure. I'd never been to California Adventure before so I was pretty psyched.

Hiya Terrie :wave:
hi terri,
we bought trip insurance for last year's member cruise a few weeks before cruising and we plan on getting it again this year.
Is it a good plan? :confused3
Good morning everyone :goodvibes Hope you all have a great Thursday! We are getting closer.....;)

I would love to know this, too. Been thinking about it for a few weeks.

Thanks!!

:banana::banana::banana:Only 23 days till the Cruise :banana::banana::banana:
For you Jennifer, the 23 days works out to:
552 hours or 33,120 minutes or 1,987,200 seconds! :thumbsup2:woohoo::goodvibes
(I like having a calculator! :thumbsup2)

Hiya Mikey! Yup, I changed a word...:rolleyes1
I like math too, there's usually a difinitive and finite answer, but 552 hours just seems so long! :teacher:

We rode the new Ariel dark ride at California Adventure and also the new Goofy's Sky School. Both were cool. Also saw the Aladdin show which was AWESOMESAUCE!!!! Duffy and Shellie May did some character meet and greets with us. Mickey, Minnie and Duffy were all uber excited to see both Duffy and Shellie May together and made a big fuss over them ... too cute and I am so easily amused :rotfl2:

IMG_2565-1.jpg

Of course I HAD to buy them both matching "My 1st visit to California Adventure" shirts :laughing:

IMG_2569.jpg

Glad to have you back! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Sounds like you had an AWESOMESAUCE trip all the way around! :dance3: (Well except for the work stuff! :rolleyes1)

The mini Dismeet with Shawn and Milford must have been fun! :woohoo:

I like the pictures, never having been to Disneyland before, it was nice to see some of cool things there. I particularly like the Mickey on the Ferris Bueller Wheel! :rotfl2: And that coaster looks big, long and FUN FUN!

Also it seems like Duffy and Shelly May had a good time as well. New clothes, meeting Mickey and Minnie and Big Duffy. Do they get the frequent flyer miles as well? :confused3 :thumbsup2 :lmao::lmao:

I have seen a lot of people suggest dollar stores for the shoe organizers. Or you could try Bed Bath and Beyond or Home Depot. Good luck! I'll keep an eye out and if I see one I'll grab it for ya and give it to ya on embarkation day. :thumbsup2

Found some at Dollar Tree. Thanks for offering to pick some up for me though.

Didn't purchase. I'm not sure if you can't purchase trip insurance if you are within the cancellation penalty period.

Yup, you can. You can purchase insurance up to 24 hours before your trip starts. Different companies may have different cut off dates, but there is at least one that you can purchase at the 24 hour mark.
