Where do you find the price of the travel insurance. Would I call member services or disney cruise line? Do you remember approximately how much the cost was?

Hi Everyone,
Have not been on in a long time. Finally caught up with the last few weeks of posts. Finishing all our FE's now and starting to pack. Its coming quickly! I have seen that people are getting insurance. We never have before and I would like to now. Can anyone tell me how to get started? Also, anyone staying at CIS the night before?

There's a good thread on insurance at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2654664&highlight=insurance

If you buy insurance from someone other than DCL, it's frequently less expensive and it will cover more. For example, I understand that unless you buy your airfare through DCL, their insurance won't cover issues with your flights (delays, etc.). But, double check that, because I didn't really study DCL's policy.

If you have a TA, they can get some quotes for you. If not there's InsureMyTrip and some others, mentioned in that thread, I think. You can also buy direct from the insurance companies. Two big ones that I looked at yesterday were Access America and Travel Guard. They each have a plan that covers kids 17 and under at no additional cost. I ended up going with the Access America Classic plan. The AA and TG plans were very similar, but the AA had slightly better coverage in a couple of categories and both plans were within a few $s of each other for me.

Oh, and we are staying at CI&S, but we're staying on 9/14 before the first part of our B2B. :thumbsup2

Actually 4 days "at sea" wouldn't be too bad. I'd better download a few more book into my kindle. :rotfl2:
