PS I am thinking of canceling the RAYS on CC and the seahorse catamaran if anyone if looking for either of those...I just dont think the CC RAYS will compare to the experience we had in Grand Cayman!

Good Morning Everyone, too - whassa' matter Princess, can't sleep? You were up late...(and early) :rotfl: Looks like we keep similar hours...

Does anyone know if DCL keeps shore excursion spaces like Palo reservations to be made onboard only after embarkation? Did that question make sense? I know what I mean, but I don't want to type a whole book... :confused3

Julie - sorry to hear you might have to go under the microscope again!UGH! Doesn't having one child set a precedence and pretty much assure an easier second adoption? It should...somethings are so backwards....

Good morning all,

Same here. I check in and read, but nothing exciting is going on. Teen agers just driving me crazy. The younger one just got back from NY, he had a ball. Visiting a family we met in 02 on the Magic. The older one is on his way to Atlanta with some friends to see a concert and a Braves game. We go to NY for DH family reunion in two weeks. Trying to get the boys to get hair cuts before we go. I don't fight the hair battle, cause they are good kids but they look awful. But I have to pick my battles these days.

Work is crazy, too many tourists on the road-but I shouldn't complain they are the reason work is crazy.

Diet is getting boring, what I wouldn't give for a warm choc chip cookie.

Every one have a great Thursday.

Come on over, fresh batch out of the oven as we speak! :rotfl: Yeah, I was up at three in the morning making cookies...NOT!
That doesn't mean I've never eaten cookies for breakfast, though :sad2: 'cause I have ::yes::

Last week I participated in Tigger113's Pirate exchange...it was fun...we bought at least $6.00 worth of pirate stuff and the "keeper of the list of names" matches up couples to send and receive goodies. I sent a patch, a folder and a string of Union Jacks (imagine prayer flags) and yesterday we got a Donald and Goofy pirate beanie and an antenna topper ~ it was fun! I was thinking we should do something like that but instead of Pirate themed, we could send around stuff from our state (country for some) like magnets, local postcards...somethin' easy with a $$$ limit. I dunno' DznePrincess...wanna' set that up? :rotfl:

I am there. I too have eaten cookies for brakfast grabbed them on the way out in the am. My kids will make some at night a leave a few. You can go wrong witha tub from Sam's and a pizza stone from Pampered chef. even the boys make great cookies.

Ok now I am going to really be hungry why I drink my breakfast.

You'd think that. We have 3 kids- one from China, two bios. You'd think since none of them are either dead, seriously maimed, or in prison that we can actually parent but... Everyone has their rules. Every state in the US has different rules, so you can imagine dealing with a state government, the federal government (more rules) and then another country's government, AND then the rules of the particular province in that country..... all the way down to the director of the baby house who decides whether to let you visit and which children you get to meet. So we have to be really careful with paperwork and sweet as sugar (hard for me) so the baby house/orphanage director gets a good impression and introduces us to a child we can really bring home. Then there's the prosecutor and the judge to get past.:faint: I just don't want to really reorganize the house. We're clean, but not neat, if that makes any sense.

So send some pixie dust our way.
We made a Mickey head chain to countdown the days til we leave. It's still pretty long- too long in my opinion.
Julie

I was going to say "as long as your kids are breathing..." and then I figured that was too crass...but you said it for me! :rotfl: I admire you for being able to adopt...I am a single parent...so my chances of adoption are nil! I have two bio, though so I replaced myself and then some! I was a foster parent for medically challenged children when I was married ~ so I understand the home visit thing. PITA as Princess Amanda would say... :thumbsup2

I know all about "cluttered and clean" I have piles of crap...stacks of papers to file and craft projects that haven't been completed...but nothing's dusty or harboring mold! If I could just keep the kitten out of my knitting basket, I would be alright. I am about ready to ring Mekayla's kitten's neck...someone call PETA! :furious: :cat: :furious:

Mekayla was talking about making a countdown chain...great, another project to add to the list! I'll start it this weekend, it'll go unfinished all week, and we'll complete it the first weekend in August! That's how we roll :woohoo:

Hello everyone. I see that all of the regulars were up posting early today. I am doing my best not to work right now.

I need some help. Last year, right after I booked this cruise and first started getting on these boards, I posted a thread about the cruise just asking if anyone else was going on the same cruise. Noone ever responded, and then I found this thread. Well, yesterday someone responded to my original thread for the first time. Can you believe that it took a whole year? Anyway, we have exchanged a couple messages, and the poster stated that she had not found this thread yet. I told her to go to the cruise meets and scan through the threads to try to find us and if that doesn't work I will ask one of you how to post a link to this thread. (I don't know how to do all these fancy little tricks. :confused3 ) So, can someone please tell me how to do this so I can help the poster out.

Joannel - funny you mentioned cookies, I grabbed 4 chocolate chip for breakfast!!! You mentioned a pizza stone, do you make your cookies on it, I have never tried to, is it better???

Skoi - Sorry to hear thing are not going smoothly, but its nice that you are making the effort to help others, Ive always wanted alot of kids but due to my age, having Crohns having and limited finances I dont see that happening, although if I ever win that lottery I would adopt a dozen kids and create my own little town!

Dzneprincess - cant wait to hear the outcome of are brunch request, saw some photos of it on the forum and it looks to good to miss!!

WWW - Yes u made sense! but I dont have an answer for u.

Well the kids are pressuring me about their pirate attire, so i think we will be heading to the local Goodwill and see if can find some stuff that I can transform with my limited sewing skills into something pirate like..

Hi there :wave2:
Seashells, it's funny you mentioned going to GoodWill to get some ideas, I was meaning to do that as well ... do you have a Value Village near you, because that might be worth a look as well ... happy shopping
Cheers :joker:

Yes I love my stone. You can't make a bad cookie. I even bought a second one and sent the first seasoned one to college.

Is every one getting dressed for pirate night? I am not a creative person to put costumes together.

Thanks Joannel, im gonna give the stone a try! Yes we will be doing costumes, we have some stuff as we were pirates two years ago, to keep things simple we will do white shirts and either leggings or jeans (cut off and frayed), the shirts i will stain with coffee and maybe do some alterations on the sleeves, and a whole lot of accesories and make up

T & E yes I will be going to Value Village they may be even better than Goodwill.

Crazy Wicked PM's to you, Seashells! Whew, and my boss thought I was working!

Joannel - we are dressing up for pirate night and MNSSHP if DD has her way!

Gail - did you get that thread thingy worked out? I'll try to help...even though it looks like ya'll got it figured out already... that link works up there...

Gail just copy the link at the top of your browser and paste it on your thread

Hi there :wave2:
I think regardless of whether you are crafty or not, you can still pull together a pretty good Pirate costume. Even if you were to do a google image search on Pirate wear, or pirate clothing to get some inspiration.
If all else fails, there is always your local "party store", they can usually be pretty helpful.
