I have never made homade mac and cheese I am sure it is so good. Mine is called Craft.

I can honestly say I've never had mac and cheese out of a box. My grandmother always made it from scratch for me so I've been spoiled.

Mary, I love home made mac and Cheese. I make it every once and while.
I usually use Mild Cheddar cheese. What do you use?

I use American and Parmesan cheeses in mine. Never been much of a cheddar fan.


Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. Needless to say ours was kind of quiet and low key. Mark did bring a heart shaped cake from the grocery story that said I love you on it.

Just checking in for a Sunday morning read of the thread. Can't wait for July and September. But mostly for September. DW and I had so much fun on the Member cruise last year that we can hardly wait for September to get here.

July we will be making the trek to Disney World for the last time for a while with our youngest daughter. She graduates from High School this year and will be attending Indiana University in the fall to begin her college studies to be, at this point at least, a music eduction (teacher).

Oh dont worry DW and I will still be making trips, just as nearly empty nesters. We are also making plans for 2012 to go to Hawai'i, hopefully the new DVC resort will be open by then.

I'll try to post more frequently, but things have been nuts at work. Less people same amount of work load, you know the drill.

It is a sad time for mom and dad when they graduate from high school but also a happy time. That means they are growing up and ready to go onto the next stage of there life’s.

Mine just graduated from college in May 2008. He went to Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was gone for 4 years and we were empty nesters to. Now that he has a job out here he is back home.

Good luck to your DD in becoming a music teacher.

Unfortunately that is the way work is going now. Less people but the same amount of work has to get done.

Threads get closed once they reach 3750 posts. Of course sometimes it goes a little beyond that. All depends on when the mods see it.

Glad to see you are feeling better Mary by fixing food and eating. You need to keep your strength up and nothing better than mac and cheese to do the trick. When I make my homemade kind it is with Velveeta, butter, & milk. The kids love it.

The party last night was fun. But it does show me and the DH how out of shape we are. We like to two-step and boy, a couple of times around the floor and we are winded! We used to dance alot. In fact, that is how we met. At a country bar and started dancing together. Today, there is just no place close to home to go dancing. So when we get the chance to go to a dance we do.

Interesting on the number of posts before we have to start a new thread. Wasn't there a question earlier about how many. . . volumes/threads (?). . .we would get to before the cruise. It seems we are very talkative and I'm thinking we could reach three before the cruise. What does anyone else think?

I'm up early because I couldn't sleep again. Oh well I'm sure it will get better as I do. Really just a discomfort from where the surgery was.

My plan for today is to finally get to our taxes. They are usually done by now but we'll I've been a little busy.

Well, it is going to be a slow day at work for us since it is President's Day. Even though we are a government office, county government, everyone thinks we are closed but we are not. So, no mail, not many people coming in, ughhhhh. Boring!

Mary - sorry you aren't sleeping well yet. I'm sure you have a lot on your mind right now and that seems to make sleep evade you. Here's hoping you can sleep well soon! Just wondering, when is your next doctor's appointment?

Flo - I know, hard to believe. But our supervisors feel that since other businesses are closed we need to be open so those people can come conduct their business. Ha! Those people think we are closed. Go figure. We have a long stretch from New Year's to Memorial Day before we get our next holiday. May be I'll have to take a mental health day here soon!

Good morning everyone - happy Valentine's Day!

Linda - good to see you! Sorry to hear you had to have surgery as well but it sounds like it really helped so that is great.

We love WDW (and Disneyland) at holiday time. The decorations are awesome and so are the shows. We've only been there once between Christmas and New Years. That was back in 2004 after our 10 day cruise. The parks were packed solid!

I remember that! Wasn't that 10 night Christmas Cruise back in 2004 just the best! That ranks up there as one of my favorite cruises.

Another week, President's Day, we don't get the day off work, took MLK Day last month. Our next holiday is Memorial Day. Just too far off.....
