09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Great pictures Dianne! Looks like you had fun all around town!

So what did you think of the ledge at Willis (Sears) Tower? I don't know if I could do it. :scared1:

We enjoyed the ledge, it took me about an 1/2 hour to get up the nerve to go out on the ledge.

As soon as I can I will try to scan that photo and post it.

Heading to Springfield Missouri tomorrow, DSIL is driving a 18 wheeler in the state competion. He says we are his good luck charms, we were there, when he won last year.

Everyone have a good weekend!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Hope all is well with everyone, things here are busy, but good.
What great pictures of your trip Dianne!! Looks like you all had a good time!

Gary and Gail (OKWMEMBER) came up to visit last weekend and we had a wonderful time as well. Can't wait until we cruise on the Alaskan Cruise with them again.

Have a good week everyone!

I saw your pictures also, looked like you had a great time too.

Maybe some day, we can all get together again. that would be a blast, since I feel I know you all better now. It was fun the first time, I am sure it would even be better now!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone! I got home from California on Monday. I had a great time at Disneyland and then had a lot of fun visiting most of the National Park sites in southern California.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hi Everyone!

Sounds likeeveryone is haveing a great summer so far.

Dianne & Dave: Great pics.:thumbsup2

Mary - I am with you I don't think I could go out on the ledge.

I am not even sure if I want to go on the water ride on the Dream scares
me:scared1: to think I am going over the ocean in a tube.

Dianne - Saw on FB that your DSIL took 3rd place. :thumbsup2 Great job.

No trips to Disney during the summer. I will see Disney for the first time in December for the holidays. Got are tickets for the Christmas Party already. Can't wiat to see the snow on MainStreet. Nowall we have to do is gets are regular tickets to get in to the park.

Mary - I agree I don't know were the first have of the year went. Howexciting to be going down soon.

Robbie - Sounds like you had a great trip. I enjoyed the pics.:)

Chris - Bet you are enjoying the pool with the nice weather.

Sue - Hope all is ok.

Hi Flo - how wonderful to have your Christmas tickets already. We still need to get our Halloween tickets for September and our transportation for after the cruise to BLT and then back to MCO. Where are your staying at Christmas time? I don't remember :confused3, sorry. But you must be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! I know I am!

Mary - I have a question for you regarding the SPA. I believe last year you posted something about writing NO SALES on your form that you fill out and they won't ask you to buy their lotions and potions and stuff, is that correct? My wonderful DH has scheduled me for a pedicure again this year - last year's was wonderful - but I don't want to feel like I have to buy the creams and gels and stuff. I just want my toes to look pretty :rotfl:. So, is that correct about writing NO SALES on your form you fill out and they won't expect you to buy? I know last year I did not buy what she wanted me too and she was a little miffed at me and turned very cold towards me before I left. I did leave her a nice tip though. I just don't feel like I should have to buy their products. I just want to be pampered a little. So, if you could, please advise me as to this. I don't want to feel bad when I leave the SPA this year like I did last year. Thank you so very much. I figured if someone would know the answer, you would. Your are the bomb!!!!!! :woohoo:

Chris - thanks for the kind words. Yes, we always write "No Sales Pitch Please" on the bottom of our forms and have never had a problem. Enjoy your pedicure!

Thanks Mary!!!!!!! I will try that this year for sure.

How are your plans coming for your July cruise?

Hi Chris!

Yes, I am getting very excited. I can’t believe that it is 6 months away only. Next week I am going to make res at Fulton’s Crab house for Steven’s B day. I figure with it being December it is going to be crowded out there. Thanks for the info that I don’t need the dinning plan last year to do this. We are staying at SSR, but wait listed for AKV concierge. We went to some thing at Door Way to Dreams and Steven asked if we could do that. I said sure it is for your B Day. And a big one at that 25 year! Don’t know were the time went.

I am sure you are getting so excited about SSMC10. I know you will have a blast. How sweet of DH do make the res for a pedicure.
:thumbsup2

Thanks Mary!!!!!!! I will try that this year for sure.

How are your plans coming for your July cruise?

Chris - plans are coming along great. Got our documents the other day. They come in a cool little book now with a pocket for your luggage tags.

I still have to work on my spreadsheet/packing list but know most of what we'll be bringing.

The map book is updated with our reservations to/from and no need for new maps since they are places we've stayed before. :)

Just bought two new pair of crocs sandles for the cruise. Dianne had a really cute pair on when she was up here and I was able to find them at Dick's Sporting Goods.

Only other thing left to do is buttons for the group but I have all the names. The challenge this time is we have two designs. One for those going to the wedding and one for the double dip.

How are plans coming for the Member Cruise? Looks like you have a nice group here on the DIS. Did DVC ever put the Member Cruise website back up? Any other word from DVC? I'm sure you'll have a great time and can't wait to hear all about it.

Sounds like you have everything under control and are pretty ready to go. I will be interested to hear how the weather is on a July cruise. Please tell us about your trip.

Things are coming along pretty well for this cruise. And it is a pretty good group going this year, but not as good as last year. Just kidding. ;) Marsha is doing a great job of heading things up. And nope, no website or anything being said about this year's cruise. Which I think is weird. But no weirder than last year I guess. I guess we will just have to be surprised again. Really, I just can't wait to cruise again and get to CC!

Hello everyone!

I have chatted with many of you out on facebook but wanted to check in here also. I have been reading the posts to stay up to date but have not posted in a while.

It's very exciting reading about everyone planning their Disney trips and those just returning from their trips.

We are going in November. There are 16 of us in total. Looking forward to that trip.

As most of you know from facebook, I have 2 of 4 assignments completed for class. I am sooooo excited. Still wondering what I will do to celebrate when I am done.

Congrats to my Chicago friends on the big win tonight. Great series! Cocktails are on me at Castaway Cay on our next trip.

Take care.

Hope you don't mind a little Chicago pride:

Congrats to the Blackhawks 2010 Stanley Cup Champions!

Has anyone heard from Sue? I have not seen her post since she announced her son was going away in military.

Not like her to be away this long. Maybe I just missed her posts.

Miss her out here. Hope all is well.

Hello All!

Wow is it really quiet out here. I think most of us are on Facebook now so we tend to keep in touch there.

I still enjoy this thread though as it is a reminder of how our bonds of friendship were formed.

Hope all is well with everyone.

You know it won't be long before we'll be receiving the SSMC11 details in the mail. Booking day will l be here before you know it.

Take care. :flower3:
