HI Happy Fathers day to all of our cruising Dads Hope everyone is doing well.

Also checking on our friends in Chicago, Michael tells me you had some really bad weather. Are you alright?

Now for a Michael report as most of you know Michael had surgery on the same knee as last year. He is doing really good now, Not getting all that awful swelling like last time, I have him strapped into the leg machine right now, But he is much happier this time,,,yea!!!!

Dianne,

Glad Michael is doing good.

Yes, we had some nasty weather in this area. Mose of Streamwood was with out power we got lucky. The area were you stayed had down power lines and poles. It was not a good day. We got zaped two times.

Happy Father's Day to all the Member Cruise dad's!

Dianne - great to hear that Michael is doing so well. We had two storms roll through on Friday. One about 4:30 and another about 10 pm. Thankfully for us they weren't too bad. A few tree limbs down but that is all. We had power but I hear where my brother's family lives down in Oak Park they were without until yesterday afternoon.

Glad to hear that you both made it through the storm fine. I saw the windows blowing out of the Sears tower on the news and I was hoping that you would be OK.

Wow Mary and Flo, glad to hear everyone is doing well, and Glad I was not there when that happened.

I met my daughter Sunday about a hour and 1/2 out of St, Louis. picked up my oldest Grandaughter to spend the week with me, We got stuck behind a tractor trailer that turned over on 44, It took us an extra hour to get home.

So day, yesterday I took oldest grandaughter 10 and next oldest 6 to the magic house, it wore them both out and they were in bed by 9. they were asking to go to bed. on the other hand, I fell asleep for about 2 hours and now am wide awake. go figure:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

OK, I know I have not been here for a while but, it looks like no one else has either, Well things are getting back to a little normal around here!

Michael is recovering, and we have begun a low carb diet, trying to control diabetis and lose weight at the same time.

Michael is healing well and has been going to therapy.

OK, now I am getting excited, daughter called and wanted to know when we are doing the family vacation in Disney, so guess what, since we can't make the member cruise this year, and don't know if we can afford it in 2011, we are planning to go with all the kids in Dec 2011, since it will be cheaper then going on the cruise. :cool1::cool1:

And then hope to make the 2012 member cruise.:dance3:

So how id everyone else?

Dave, hows the bowling?

Joanne, have not heard from you latley? Where are you!

Mary, your cruise is fast appoaching. Anything special happening?

Flo, How are things, did you have a nice 4th?

Sue, Susie......are you there, what are you doing?

Marsha, your going on the next member cruise if I remember correctly! so any special plans, are you doing a fish extender?

Did everyone have a great 4th of July?

Hey, anyone here....I suspose everyone is enjoying thier summer!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hi Dianne! I'm here but have been spending more time on Facebook than the DIS. Had a wonderful cruise last week. Really missed my deck 9 buddies though I did meet up a couple of mornings with friends. It was much harder doing sunrise club when on late seating. :)

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

One bit of DVC news - we added on at Aulani. :yay:

We missed you too...glad to have you back, but glad you enjoyed your trip.

I was wondering if you had added on...I am so happy for you. :dance3: Did they give you a wonderful gift for your purchase?

I too have been spending too much time on facebook, and have decided I need to keep up on all the new things being discussed on the Dis. So I am checking back a little more often.

Welcome back!

No gift but then we only added on 100 points. If we had added on 160 or more we would have gotten a shipboard credit. However we did save $2 per point by adding on while on board. I had called our guide before we left and the incentive for 100 points was $8 off per point. On the ship it was $10 off per point.

Hi everyone! I'm still here. After spending most of my time on FB, with a WDW trip coming up in under 4 weeks, I am spending more time on the DIS again.

Congratulations Mark & Mary on adding on at Aulani!

I have some news. I am on facebook ALL of the time. Anyway, my DD and SIL adopted a second child, a baby from Minnesota. Mom was a heroin addict and on methadone. Baby was in NICU for a month until they could stabilize his withdrawal on methadone. He is now home, still on the drug, but has gained 3 pounds. He was born 6/3. Nathan Joseph Thomas.

And, in Feb, DH and I went to court to gain legal and physical custody of our 2 year old grandson. Our DD was a recovering addict, and she had a terrible relapse. We went in a saved our grandbaby. He is now 3 and doing so well. It is a big life change at 60 to be raising a 3 year old, but it is also a joy. He is in preschool while we work. Since we brought him to live with us, he is now talking real words non stop, is almost potty trained, and has gained 10 pounds. He loves going to school and playing with children.

God has been good to us, maybe not what we asked for, but what his will was for our lives.

Going on our next cruise in Oct. Not taking Cameron with us. One of my other DD's and SIL will be taking care of him, and he loves it there. Makayla, the picture to the left, is with him and she has taught him so much. She is now 5.

Hope everyone is having a great summer. It is hot hot hot in PA. But it gets me used to the heat for FL.

Wow you are a busy person!! I know when my DGD was living with us for around 3 years, it was a lot of work, and worth every minute.

Well your family in growing, maybe not the way we plan, but it really dosen't matter. Just as long as there is love, and some how God seems to give challanges to keep us on out toes. And without the challanges it could be a little dull, although I kind of prefer a little dull. I am so, glad you will get to go on the cruise soon.:dance3:

Michael will go to the Doctor on Thursday to see if he can be released to go to work, He is now 15 on the list and some calls are starting to come into the Union hall...we can only pray.. And I have been home sick since Monday with a sinus infection, I hope tomorrow when I get up, I feel well enough to go to work, latley my head feels like it is going to explode!:scared1:

Talk to you all soon!!

I don't DIS much, for lack of time - and I only just brought up my facebook page for the first time since joining 4-5 years ago. Anyway, everyone here seems to up on facebook, I was wondering if there were a couple of pointers to help me get focused into finding / joining Disney related pages/threads - facebook overall seems like one jumbled collection of shards of people's thoughts. I'm sure I'll like it once I'm set up to cut through the clutter - but if anyone has suggestions to get started, please - HELP!
