Try me, I am Susan Rotunda Brown That is my maiden name and that sure narrows it down!

You are watching the LLWS and that's not far from me...just up the river about 90 minutes!

Wow to have it that close.

Susan I put in Susan Rotunda Brown and nothing is coming up for me. Try mine again Flo Guazzo

I am up too late again- what is new, right??

Some of you mentioned printing out the online check in forms... I didn't see a print button, or anything that said I should print them- am I missing something??

Well, nighty night ya'll. I do need to go to bed so I can wait by my front door for the Sears guy between the hours of 8 and 12. :dance3: I have nothing else better to do with that kind of time!!

The only form that should show to print is the charge form that I know of. The rest you just fill out on line.

Totally off topic, but has anyone checked out rental car prices recently? :scared1:

I started looking last week for my December trip and the prices were outrageous! I like having a car so that I can go to the grocery store, drive to other resorts, etc. Plus I am doing some of the DAP events and based upon Mousefest last year, having a car is a plus.

I finally found an almost OK rate with Dollar so I booked that, but I sure hope that the rates some down.

Robbie-I booked a car for a week for this trip and it was $190, I tried to book one for December and they wanted $1800. Talk about taking advantage of people!! I ended up getting a "comped" car thru Hertz for free:cool1:

Hey, you can always join me in the invisible brides and pirates club :rotfl: . I have an uncanny talent for missing every single one.

Dave, did you get your docs? Congrats to all who got them yesterday.

I'm off to bed now; I was unexpectedly asked to watch DGD1 today and I may have her for the rest of the week. Looks like her mom and dad may have strep. Yikes!

Joanne-I did receive my docs yesterday!!

Carrie-Don't hold your breath waiting:lmao: Last time I waited they didn't even show up on the correct day, even though they confirmed the appt the day prior!:confused3

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday! We are having a cook-out at work today to support our walk team for Juvenile Diabetes so it is casual day. Should be a good one.

Hi All!!

It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been so busy and it's all I can do to keep up with everyone!! I have a 14 yr old daughter who I'm trying to get to get active on the boards before the cruise. She claims she "doesn't know how" to start conversing or getting in touch with other teens who will be on this cruise. (Yea right, a teen who doesn't know how to text/email? I told this child of mine that she'd better be careful or she's going to have arthritis in her thumbs before she's out of high school!) Is there anyone who has a teen who will be sailing with us? She's a little shy in new situations but really opens up after she feels comfortable. She dances and is on the pom/dance team for school, so she's not a wall flower but I can definitely see her attaching herself to mommy and daddy if she doesn't already have some contacts to "break the ice". I don't want her to miss out on anything for this trip. This is our first cruise EVER and I've heard so many fun things about the kid's club and the teens club. (Not to mention, it would be fun for mom and dad to have some adult time.) The 9 and 11 yr old are completely on board (no pun intended) with getting into the kid's club right away!

So.....with all of that being said, is there a thread somewhere, just for teens on the 09 Member Cruise, where she can introduce herself and get to know some of these kids before we set sail? Any help you can give would be fabulous!! I set her up on the boards with her own sign-on. Thanks!:yay:

Susie : )

Susie - there are a number of teens on the cruise but no separate thread that I know of. You can have your daughter start one but I honestly don't know how many of the teens going are here on the DIS.

Good Morning.

Flo - I too watched the Little League World Series last night since there was an Iowa team playing. It was a real bummer that we lost. I was hoping the boys would be able to pull it out, but they didn't. They should still be proud of themselves for making it that far.

I remember someone asking about California Grill, sorry can't remember who right now - I think Kenna - let me just say it is WONDERFUL. We ate there last June and the view is gorgeous and the food was delicious. Very expensive, but we thought it was well worth it! :thumbsup2

Mary - good wishes are being sent your way.

Chris,

I too wanted them to win. I wanted to see the mid west advance. I agree with you any team that makes it that far has allot to be proud of.

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday to all!

good evening everyone!
well i called ME and they were so nice! The woman was going to mail out two more luggage tags today! yeah!
we also found out the DH's Best Friend who lives in St. Petersburg is going to meet us at Disney for the Friday and Sat before the cruise so I called member services and added them to our room and set them up with dining plans. We were going to eat at Tappan Edo on Saturday but they were unable to add 2 to the table. We are doing The turf club at ssr on friday. We are thinking yatchsman on saturday since that will keep us out of a park and not be a greater expense to his friend. I was interested in California Grill, anyone been there before? Any other suggestions? We are simple people as far as food goes, I need to make sure we can get a steak or chicken no matter where we go.
Thanks! Kenna

We are also going to the Turf Club but on Saturday night. My DB and DSIL have eaten there and said it was very nice and they really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere - DB said the steak was fantastic.

One of our favorites outside the parks is Raglan Road in Downtown Disney. It is an Irish pub setting. We have had several meals there and each time I have not been disappointed. Several entrees have been absolutely delicious, but the best is probably - no definitely - the dessert, and I forget the exact name, but it is a bread pudding with cream sauces to choose from to pour over it - it is to die for!!!! :thumbsup2

Hi Susie,
I don't know of any thread for the kids. I have a 13 yr old boy who will be doing the teen club when we get on board and he can't wait. We have been on a couple of cruises with DCL and his older brothers went there when he was in the kids clubs (where he had tons of fun too). But now he thinks he's a big shot and can't wait to go the the Stack. He can be pretty quiet until he gets to know people - but then he's fine. He is signed up for the Wild Side program on the second day we are at CC (Wed.) and if she's active, which she sounds like she is, that might be something she should consider. It sounds like fun and Dustin is looking forward to that alot. If she wants to actually "post" with Dustin to ask some questions, we could set up a time and I'll make him a profile so they can chat - I'm sure he'd be fine with that - why not, he texts everyone else in the world! :rotfl2:

Last cruise we were on was a few years ago, but back then, we just about saw him at dinner. Otherwise he was at the club. I'm thinking, and hoping, that it will be about the same. Not that I don't want him around, because he is my last little one (he'd not be happy with that term) and he's fun to be with. But I think they all have more fun with kids their own age.

So let me know if your daughter would like to chat - we'll see what we can do. Hope this helps a little. :)

Good Morning Marsha! Haven't chatted with you for a while. Nice day on the East Coast, isn't it!! :cool1:

I found her, I think, I put out an invite for her. It was not easy, I just kept looking different ways , I am not sure exactly where I was, but I got a whole lot of names in small print and it was there.

Dianne, do you like Facebook? I have heard good things but then I heard some real horror stories about what gets said or posted! Do you feel secure with it?

I guess I will keep trying. I did not get any names in small print. Or I can wait till she excepts yours and then take it from them. What ever comes first.

Did I read on someones post yesterday about a Captains night or Formal Night?

I did not think this cruise had anything which we had to dress up for.

I had not planned for dressy clothes. Do I need to?:scared1:

Good Morning Marsha! Haven't chatted with you for a while. Nice day on the East Coast, isn't it!! :cool1:

Hi Sue. It is a nice day. I am here at home waiting for DS to finish breakfast. I think he is stalling because he does not want to go to "school." He wants to finish watching the Wiggles. I did not even know he knew about the Wiggles. I guess they watch it in daycare.

Oh yes, I hear that is the best for his age! When Dustin was little it was Blues Clues, Little Bear and Mickey, of course! How is he doing in school? Is he still having the shouting issue?
