Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Looks like they might be using Disney Inspirations as the theme again which was the same as last year (at least from what I read on the first page).

I hope they don't build it up so big only to be a disappointment. I'd rather have someone under promise and over deliver. We'll just have to wait and see. :confused3

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Good Morning Everyone!

Monika - glad to see you are going to give parasailing a try. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I remember when I was up there I was swinging my feet and just trying to take so much in. I hope the weather is good and clear on your day. :woohoo:

Have a great day everyone! :flower3:

Hi, everyone

I wish I weren't so afraid of heights. I would LOVE to parasail, but I can't even go on a sky ride at an amusement park. I don't know what it is, I just all of a sudden get terrified...I know there is no basis for it, but my body starts to react. I guess I will just have to enjoy everyone's photos.

Believe it or not, I get such enjoyment from looking at photos of trips, cruises, Disney etc. So for those of you who wonder if anyone ever looks at your pics, WE DO!!

I have a new office. I had been relegated to a tiny locker that I had to fit my purse in sideways....and now I have a beautiful private office on the 5th floor overlooking the grounds, brand new furniture, awesome. I have my ipod playing my Disney music...Out there..from Hunchback. I used to love that show at MGM (now Hollywood Studios).

I bought these Richard Simmons DVD's and thought I would try to take off a few pounds...they are still in the wrapper! By the time I get home from work, all I want to do is take a nap!

Have a great day! Dreaming of the cruise....Susan

You are afraid of hight like I am of swimming. Not that it stops me from going in water. I can swin but when the water gets up to my neck I panic. I do go down slides but I make sure if the water is deep Danny (DH) is around just in care I panic.

Have a good day and enjoy the office.:)

Hi Perdie!

I gather from the front page we are not going to know till we get on the cruise. You would think they would put what is on the first page on that page to. BUt then look how long it took them to put what they did.

:surfweb:

Oh, so you think it's going to be a surprise then?!
WOW-hmmm....that could mean one of 2 things-1) they have no idea what the theme is and can't get anyone to commit yet or 2) It's HUGE-like Lasseter or something :goodvibes (I'm rooting for option 2)

Perdie,

I will be honest with you. I am kind of scared. :scared1: We decided to do this and use the extra points it cost. So I sure hope it is worth it.:)

But on the up side I did meet allot of great people on this thread that I would never had done.;)

So I guess in a little of 80 days we will find out.

Well, I am a little nervous about it only because there i so much going on in September at Disneyland-D23 Expo and 40th Anniversary of Haunted Mansion so everyone will be there-and focused on that....but regardless-it's still a Disney Cruise!!!:rotfl:

good evening everyone!

My camp is halfway through and all is well - and of course, it rained again today. But the kids are all having a great time! Even had a belly flop contest today - ouch!! :rotfl:

Tomorrow will be the tough one - at least at lunchtime. It is what they call the Survivor Luncheon, where we will greet past campers who are survivors and then remember those who have lost their battles. God Bless these kids.

Tomorrow is also supposed to be sunny - yeah:cool1:.

I hope the theme is great - but just to be cruising is the best. And the special goodies that you find in your room each night are very nice too!

singin' in the rain,
Sue

I have to agree with you, Flo. The definite upside is that I have started to post on the thread and meet alot of very nice folks. thanks to all who have been thoughtful and made me feel welcome.

Sue :flower3:

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Everyone has such great ideas to share. We've been DVC members since '94. Our first member cruise was '05. We've been on 4 other cruises, different lengths, and really love these ships.

Hi Sue,

We were also on the 2005 member cruise, it was our 1st member cruise also! We feel the same as you do about Disney and are very excited to go on our 2nd DVC cruise!

Your camp sounds amazing. I hope the rain stops tomorrow and all goes well with the survivor luncheon.

Have a great evening.

Love Disney music, and congrats on the new office. I feel like I work in a closet, full of computer filing cabinets and printers. Well at least I have a door I can lock, and I am not confined to a cubie.

Hi Ravonne,

from the sounds of things, we're practically twins! We are OKW since 94! Thanks for the happy thoughts for my campers - every little one counts. ;)

hope to meet you on the cruise!

Sue

Hey everyone!

I'm more of a lurker on this thread, but wanted to say something about parasailing. I am a bit afraid of heights, too. My wife and I parasailed for the first time when we were on Castaway Cay last year for the WB Panama Canal Cruise on the Magic. It was absolutely fantastic! The two fellows in charge put us at ease and made us feel totally safe - they were also hilarious. I could've stayed floating in the air for an hour - that's how exhilarating it was! I enjoyed it so much that I've signed up to do it again on the DVC cruise. So even if you have a fear of heights, you may enjoy parasailing.

It looks like the cruise theme might have something to do with animation. We've never been on a DVC Cruise, so I don't know how they work the theme into the cruise activities. We are so excited!.

My wife and I got back from the Podcast Cruise a few weeks ago and are really looking forward to another cruise with the DISers.

See you real soon!!

Since we haven't been on a Member Cruise since '05, I guess I was assuming that there was a special gift in your stateroom each night that cooresponded to that day's theme. Do they still do that?

ttfn,
Sue

Yes they have tried to tie the gifts to the theme/guests. A lot of pins and some other things as well. Some practical some not so much. :)

Do you go on roller coasters? I don't know. I don't do roller coasters unless they are in the dark...I am afraid I would get up there and FREAK out and be embarrassed. I really would love to do this...but...
