Good morning everyone. Going to be a nice day here. Finally no rain!

I am not a happy camper right now.

It rained so bad ans so hard that we got water through the door in the basement. the whole back part is wet. All, the streets by me were flooded to. Today is garbage day and the empy cans were floating down the street. My neighbor across the street has a lake in her back yard. Thank God it stoped. The kicker is the sun is shinning now.
Don't think it would bother me as much but when we lived in Rosement we lost are whole house to a flood and this brings back allot of un happy memories.
Ok thanks for listening I had to vent.

take care

Flo, sorry to hear about the basement. Hope you dry out this weekend.

Good Morning Everyone. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to another "not so sunny" Saturday here. My DH and I have been getting ready for a special group of kids to come into the camp where we work this week, so please, everyone prayer for some sunshine here in the northeast. It is a group of kids who are treated to a week of camp at no cost to their families, and they are all either cancer patients, cancer survivors, or siblings of cancer patients. They are all an inspiration to be around and we also have a great time being with them.

Anyway, we were thinking alot about our last member cruise in 05, as we get ready for this one. Does anyone remember the Pirate Scavanger Hunt that they had preceeding that cruise? We were put in groups and ran all over downtown Disney and West Side - in the rain for alot of it. Were any of you there? I'd love to know - we had a great time doing that with our DS.

ttfn,
Sue

Sue, what a great camp. Hope you have great weather while you are there.

I was looking at the counters!

Did any one notice :woohoo: that we are in the low 80's on the counters.:dance3: That looks so good.:)

For those that are not driving to port have you decided how you are going to get there?

We have res on Magical Express. For us it was cheaper then a limo. Also, I don't have to worry about my luggage when we go to the airport they will take care of it.

P.S. Thanks Chris! It is a better day here and the sky is not falling.

I would like a pm of anyone's spreadsheet also!

Flo, sorry about your flood. It has rained here in PA probably 25 of 30 days. I have Makayla overnight and we were going to go to a children's festival today...cancelled. It is POURING! There are so many fungi/mushrooms growing everywhere and I am so allergic to mold!

Lots of swine flu here also.

Sounds like a wonderful camp, Sue. Have a great time.

I remember what it was like when my 5 kids were out of school...bedlam!
As much as I loved them, all of them together was a challenge. By the end of summer I was so happy to get them back to school...and they were glad to be away from each other.

So when do you think they will finally announce the theme for our cruise?

I am going to pay for the Disney cruise bus. We have taken it for our other cruises and it was just so simple. Luggage disappears and reappears. And DH and I don't have to argue about directions or his bad driving!

I was looking at one of the trip reports from Tortola. It looks so beautiful. The Baths, as they are called, with these huge bolders is really something. I would love to go, but the person writing said that at places you have to crawl through the bolders and caves, pull yourself up on ropes, to get to the ocean. I can't do that with my new knees. I have tried to kneel down to get shoes from under my bed and I absolutely cannot stand any pressure on them. So, unfortunately that is out for me. Have any of you been there?
I love reading the trip reports and seeing the pictures.

Well, I am off to try to figure out what to do with a 4 year old...right now she is in the nursery pretending to feed Cinderella with a baby spoon. She said, "she has not eaten in days, and she is starving". Glad she has a good imagination and can entertain herself...Sponge Bob is over, and that is her favorite..I don't get it, but she loves it.

Have a great Saturday despite the rain, flood, draught, kids, etc!!!

Blessings,
Susan

Wow, kids say the greatest things. My neices' daughter has a teddy bear that had to go on an outing because "she (the teddy), is having relationship problems and needs to get out".
I'm sure it's not to hard to figure out where that came from, but it's still funny.

Hello All,
It has been forever since I have been on the board. Craig and I are really excited about going on the Member Cruise again this year. I don't get to get on here very often any more. They cut my access at work, and getting on at home at night is very limited. I can't wait to get to know all of you. I have gone back and read a bunch of the post.

Talk to you again soon,
Alex's Mom

:thanks: Thank you for all of the birthday wishes everyone!

My vacation is going great so far just extremely hot. Hence I am taking my WDW vacation method and relaxing in my room for a little while this afternoon.

1. PM me if you want sample planning worksheet - I'll need your non-Dis email, as we cannot attach to PM's

2. I suspect your were reading MY Baths trip report, from the description. I am guessing it would be too stressful for new knees, based on the "getting your shoes comment." You might want to post your particular issue on that report and ask whether anyone who has had your procedure was able to do the Baths and what their experience was. I used to be the "canary" for a friend of mine who had a neck injury and needed to carefully choose his roller-coaster risks, as I have a similar injury. Sometimes it is the kind of feedback you need from someone with the same, or similar, injury. I watch what my mother can and cannot do with her arthritic knee, and the Baths would be too difficult UNLESS she arrived by catamaran and swam or dinghy-ed to shore, which, at 80 years old, she is not going to do.

3. Curiosity question - what prompted you to inquire about the Bath on this thread? The member cruise does not go there. Are you also booked on another cruise that DOES go there?

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday. It has been a rainy one here so after I came from the beauty salon I did some trip planning. I made ADRs at Cape May Cafe for breakfast the Saturday before the cruise and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on the Friday after the cruise. My family loves breakfast. It is our favorite meal of the day.

I do have another question. I was looking at the Flounder's Reef Nursery video on the website and it mentioned designated times for charater meet and greets. Does Disney offer this on the member's cruise?

Good Afternoon All!

What a great day it has been. DH was gone all morning, kids slept till noon, I did a little cleaning/laundry, and spent the rest of the morning by the pool. Can it get any better?

Yeah, if I were on a cruise and not having to cook and clean! :lmao:

Soon, so very soon.

I'm sure it's not to hard to figure out where that came from, but it's still funny.

Makayla went home and told her mom that she ran out in front of a car and almost got hit, and that I (grandma) screamed, and she cut her knee and I put a bandaid on it....no, what happened was that she scratched her knee on something in the driveway while she was drawing with chalk...a 4 year old mind!

And, she was very quiet in the kid room today, and she came out with a hunk of curly blonde hair in her hand..."look at this.....it's hair and I cut it"...I was quickly thinking of the dolls in the room, looked at her, looked at the hair...it was a direct match...asked her why she cut her hair..."I want to look beautiful!"...thank God she came to me before she had cut more...it's curly so it just blends in with the rest of the mop of curls...

She is a pip!

I would love to read your Baths trip report. This is the one I was readinghttp://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2170331

I would like to read yours too...where can I find it?
I asked about it on this thread because I know that there are some frequent cruisers here...and these are the folks I have come to know from this thread.
I will have to go over there and ask about the knees. I am 59 and pretty active. But I don't know about having to climb rocks with a rope etc. We really want to take a 7 day cruise, and I just can't decide which one.

No, don't think I could swim ashore either LOL

PM'ing you for the sample worksheet!

Susan

Oh, that's great.
When my DD was 5, I had already started buying her special edition Disney Barbie dolls and she decided that Mary Poppins needed a hair styling, so needless to say, I have not been able to replace that doll, but now it is a special -special.

Oh, man! What a way to "fix" a collectible.

My daughter is now 26, and when she was 3 0r 4 she had this big doll named "My Buddy". He was a large clothe, soft doll, with a "bowl" haircut.
She had long dark hair. One day she came out with Buddy in hand and announced,,,"Look, I gave Buddy a haircut"....actually, she cut off Buddy's thumb and all of his bangs...and she gave herself an identical haircut...half of the bangs cut to the scalp and a hunk of hair on the side sheared off. She was just so proud of herself.

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing fine. So sorry Flo about the water, are things better yet?

Sue the camp sounds wonderful.

Well, I have not been around much lately, DH still recovering from knee surgery. My uncle passed away, My cousins have been in from out of town.

And I had a reaction to my Blood pressure meds. I was swollen badly from my knees to my toes, everything else was only slightly swollen. I am much better now, only a little swollen all over.:confused3

Other than that everything is wonderful:cool1:
