We have stayed at OKW once before. Loved the layout of the rooms, but it is really spread out, especially to get to the main pool and all. We want to give it another try some day. Other resorts we want to try yet too. So many choices, so little time.

You're right it is a little spread out depending on which road you are staying, but we have really come to love the serenity there! No neighbors shouting in the hallways, etc.

Congrats to Robbie on the :bride:

Congrats to Sue on the pirate:

Congratulations on the :bride: Robbie!

Sorry you missed it Chris!

Thanks for the Congrats everyone! Its a pirate's life for me!

I have stayed at both SSR and OKW and enjoyed both. However, in all of those stays (3), I had a car so the size of the resort didn't bother me.

We also really ejoyed the quiet pool at OKW so we didn't feel the need to head to the main pool. (Note that during my SSR stays, I didn't use the pool so I didn't check out the quiet pools)

I agree. That is the way it seems at SSR too. Doesn't even seem like you have neighbors. Hardly ever see anyone in the halls going to/from your room and we have never heard anyone through the walls. Which is great! :thumbsup2

Oh, well, better luck next time! :goodvibes

When we were at OKW, the girls really liked the slide at the main pool and we got as close as we could so we wouldn't have far to go. They are older now and don't care as much about the slides. When we go to SSR we like to stay in the newest area the "Grandstand". They have a great pool area. Plus it is the first bus stop to get on or get off the buses.
:rolleyes1

So I've been missing for several months, actually much longer than that. I posted a few messages shortly after we all booked the cruise, but between the two kids, work and back to back college online college courses since December, I have not had much time to follow this thread. I've tried to get caught up, but 5,000 posts is about 1,000 too many for me to read ;).

To recap we have two rooms. My mother-in-law Diana and brother-in-law Chris are in one room, and my wife Tammy, and two children (DS 2 & DD <1) are in the other room. I'll get the details sent over to the appropriate email to make sure we are on the list with the rest of the group.

Does anyone recall if there were many kids on the previous member cruises? This is our fifth Disney Cruise, but the first where we have a child potentially old enough to participate in some of the programs. We're hoping to visit the parks a couple times prior to the cruise to get him a little more used to being around the characters. So far the encounters have been more enjoyed from a distance. We'll get at least one day in next week when we stay at BLT (hope that's the correct acronym).

We're still deciding on whether or not to participate with the fish extenders, but will be sure to get our names in before the 12th if we decide to. Does anyone have a link to pictures of some examples so we can get some ideas?

:woohoo:We're getting excited about the cruise knowing that it is very soon and will try to check in frequently to get to know everyone a little better prior to our voyage.

The booklet is cute - I have gotten one like it before. But yes, I was surprised at only one tag. So in the morning, I'm going to call MS and see if we can get one more each.

i THINK I READ BACK A FEW WEEK AGO THEY WERE ONLY LETTING ONE BAG PERSON. I AM TRING TO LOOK WERE I SAY THAT

Effective February 10, 2009, Disney's Magical Express will mail only one luggage tag per person, as travelers are now flying with less luggage due to various changes on the airlines. If you need additional luggage tags, you can request them by contacting Disney's Magical Express at 866-599-0951.

Hey Flo (and everyone),

found this info on the website called allears.net , which I'm sure most of you have heard of. So that answers that question - I'll call in the morning.
