Good morning Member Cruisers!
We sail in 9 weeks!

We are in the single digits weeks wise!
party:party:party:party:party:

Thank you Mary for making my day. We are in the single digits now. :woohoo::yay::banana::dance3: I can't wait. Especially after the late night/early morning I have had.

Not to be a downer, but at 3:30 this morning my aunt called to let me know that my Grandpa passed away. She couldn't get a hold of my mom and asked if I would go get her. Her and dad live right in front of us and they don't have a real phone only a cell phone and she couldn't get her. So I had to go deliver the news to mom. Not fun. So, I have been up since then. Grandpa was 88 years old, so I feel really lucky to be 42 and still have one set of grandparents left, Grandma is still living by isn't well either. He lived a very full and, what I believe, was a very rewarding life. He will be deeply missed by all of us. They had 5 kids, 13 grandkids, and 17 great grandkids. :sad1:

So, again, Mary, thanks for making my day with the countdown until the cruise! :upsidedow

Chris,

Sorry about your grandpa. That had to be a hrd thing for you to tell your mom. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.:grouphug:

Chris, so sorry to hear about Grandpa..I know that must have been hard this morning.

I have been cleaning all morning.. its raining here now.

Mary, here are some wishes for you tomorrow:wizard::wizard::wizard:

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. We were supposed to be attending a birthday party today but we couldn't. DS woke up this morning coughing and then started wheezing and having trouble breathing. So, we went to urgent care and they gave him a nebulizer treatment and prescribed him some steriod meds and abuterol (sp?). They also allowed us to take the nebulizer home until Monday when we have to see his pediatrician. So, we willbe home for the rest of the weekend.

Marsha,
So sorry to hear about problems for DS. But now very glad to hear he is doing better. I hope all goes well with the doctor tomorrow. It's so scary when kids get so sick like that.

Is there a trick to getting on the Port Cam from Port Canaveral? I went to the website and it comes up but doesn't play. I really wanted to watch the Wonder go out today!! Help!!

Also, since I was out all weekend I wanted to catch up with everyone - how do you do the multiple quotes? Every time I try to do it, the first one goes away when I try to post another quote. What am I doing wrong? :confused3

Chris,
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa. Grandparents are so precious and you're right that you were lucky to have him so long. All of mine are gone now, but many many fond memories remain. May those memories bring you much comfort. :)

TO get more then one quite hit the " that is to the right on the bottem of each post. When done hit the big quote button and they were all there. I had to ask the same question because I could not figure out how people did this.

Chris - so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I hope that many years of happy memories will help you get through the next couple of days, weeks and months as you come across the firsts without him (first Christmas, first birthday, etc.). I'm so glad that you have been able to be there for your Mom.

Sue - many of the web cames aren't live action instead they refresh every couple of minutes.

As for multi-quote. You hit the small box NEXT to the word quote. You do that for every one you want to quote. When you are on the last one hit that box and then the quote box and they should all come up.

Congrats to Marsha on the :bride::bride:

Congrats to Bruce on the pirate:pirate:

Sorry for the late congrats - but Congrats!!

Thanks Mary - I look forward to these on Sunday!!

Yea, I think I've got it - the multi-quote thing!

By the way, Mary, I am sending happy thoughts your way for tomorrow!!

Hiya!

My turn for a question:

How do you view your DVC?

We couldn't be happier with our DVC and we have owned since 1994. I always told my DH that one of the happiest memories I have of my childhood was the fact that no matter what happened, my parents always planned a vacation each year. Some weren't very fancy, and some years my dad couldn't even get enough time off from work so my grandparents came along, but it was always there and something to look forward to. :yay:

Then one trip down to WDW with our old travel trailer, we had a breakdown and a terrible time even getting to WDW. We were approached to go and see the sales pitch, and had a fantastic rep named Bob Connor. He sold us completely!! He was a great person and we miss him since he has passed away. He kept in touch with us just like we were family.

Now we have added on a few times, because my DH has always wanted to be able to leave each of our three DS enough points so that they can continue the vacation tradition.

WE LOVE DVC. It is the best investment we have every made!! :cheer2:

Congrats to Marsha on the :bride:

Congrats to Bruce on the pirate:

DS is doing much better today. Thank you for all the well wishes.

Thank you for all the congrats.

Marsha, its great to hear that he is doing better today! :cheer2:

I'm glad that you posted this. I was having problems too and thought that it was jsut me.

I was able to finish the portion of my FE gifts for the kids. Of course those are the easy ones since all I need to do is buy stuff. We haven't done anything on the adult portion yet. The plan was to make something but you never know.

Sounds like you have a fun weekend coming up. Let us know how the DVC Vacation as you wish event was.

Some times in the next couple of years I hope to be that close.

The musical Rent was outstanding.

The Vacation As You Wish event that we were signed up for was primarly for non members. I signed up from the passholders website. They gave the members that were there the option to skip the sale presentation portion and go directly on a tour of the BLT. They took us to a Lake View Grand Villa and to the Top of the World Lounge and fireworks viewing area. It's really nice and can't wait to say there for my birthday in November. We will have a Magic Kingdom View 1 bedroom then.

Michael,

What a way to spend your birthday with that view. That is going to be great.

Thanks for reporting back.

Robbie,

I am almost afraid to tell you this.

I have both my adults and child Fish Extenders gifts done (with some extras just in case.). They are in the box and ready to be shipped to DCL so I do not have to take on the plane.

But with me being home I had something to do.
