Hi Marsha,

I can't believe we keep having all of these close encounters - first we used to live in about the same area, and now we are going cruising together, let alone we will be a MNSSHP on the same night! How funny is this? What costumes will you be wearing so I can look out for you guys? :)

You are so right. We might have to have a mini-NJ meet before the cruise. :)

I am not if I will be wearing one. I was debating on whether to wear a costume. I have a pirate costume for DS but I think it still might be too big for him. So, I might be looking for another costume for him. DH does not want to wear a costume. What costumes will you & your family be wearing?

I'm not one for costumes usually. But my DH is trying to talk me into it - so I don't know! DS also wants to be a pirate - Capt. Jack - as a matter of fact. We did him up like that two years ago for halloween and wow, did he look just like him - it was great.

I have a really cute Disney Tshirt that I bought a while back that is grey and has three black sparkly figures on it - the Mickey icon as a bat, a spider and a ghost. I will probably wear that if I don't wear a costume.

It's a really fun night and the fireworks are the best I've seen!

Has anyone been to the new TRex restaurant at DD?

DS really wants to go there. We did not make it on our trip last November and I promised we would go on this trip. Thinking of heading over to DD upon our arrival on the 11th for lunch.

Then we can hit the Basin while we are there. The kids love the bath bombs and just smelling all the soaps. I love everything!!!

We went in December, It was nice but reminded me Rainforest also, If I remember correctly. Build a bear is in there and you can build a dinasour.

If I can locate some of the pictures soon I will post some.

Congrats Marsha on the :bride:

and

Lisa on the pirate:

Congrats on the pirate and princess

So sad, :sad2: we won't be going this year. We really love MNSSHP. The parade is the best ever and the fireworks are beyond compare. We had talked about going, but without the kids we thought it would be better not too. They would be really torked. More so than they already are. But, they really can't miss this time of year at school anymore. They would be madder at us if we were able to go to Food & Wine Fest without them! :scared1: They love that. So to all of you going to MNSSHP, have a great time and get lots of candy!!!!!

Hi Joanne!

We are going to the MNSSHP on the 18th. My parents are coming down and joining us after the cruise at BLT and we will all be attending. The kids do not know they are coming. It will be a surprise. Well, that is if their grandmother can keep the secret.

As for before the cruise, we are staying at BCV. The kids and I plan to come by the DIS meet at BCV to say hello. We are having dinner at Teppan Edo that evening in Epcot at 6:30. We actually arrive on Friday and will be at Tutto Italia that first evening. The kids picked both of those restaurants. Actually, they picked most of the restaurants for this trip. We also have a 9:00 reservation at CMC for breakfast on the 13th.

We are doing Narcoosee's after the cruise. They both loved that during our visit last year. DS is actually very excited that he is on the adult plan this year so he can order the surf and turf. He ate most of mine last year. As exciting as it is for him I am dreading having to pay the adult prices for him this year. :scared1:

Looking forward to meeting you!!!

Lisa

Lisa, it's cool that you'll be at BC and the MNSSHP too!

I am very excited today and I wanted to share it with all you Disney fans. I just paid off the balance on my very first Thomas Kincade (TK) Disney picture. I was not able to get the Snow White painting which was the first in the series but I did get the Pinocchio painting. I have not brought it home yet as it has to be framed and I am not ready for it here at the house. I do not want anything to happen to it so I am leaving it at the gallery for now.

The next painting in the series is Peter Pan which was not due out until September. It has already been released and it is also beautiful and also selling very quickly. You just have to see these painting in person. You can check them out online but it is just not the same.

I have one of TK's Christmas paintings. I wanted one for years and a few years back I was finally able to get one. I just love it.

Now that he is doing the Disney series I am so excited. They are definitely an investment as the value is going up very quickly. Not that I would ever sell them but at least I know I am investing in something that is actually increasing in value.

Just wanted to share my excitement!!

Congratulations on your picture! They are so beautiful, I want them all (like that will happen ;) ).

Good morning everyone - Happy Tuesday! Thanks for all the well wishes. Yesterday was just a little bump in the road. As my good friend Karen said on my Facebook page I have to do this on God's schedule not mine! If the chemo schedule goes into September I'll have talked to the doctor about skipping the two weeks for the cruise (we leave on the 10th and get back on the 20th). What I'm hoping for is that I'll finish chemo by then and just have to schedule the surgery to get the port out until we get back. We'll see what happens.

We're meeting up with friends (who may or may not come to the meet) and heading over to Trails End. Last year one of the DISers organized a large group meal at Cape May. It was a lot of fun. We had to sign up as part of their group celebrations to make it happen but that was easy. We had two big tables in the private room.

That is great that they are all meeting you after the cruise. We're looking at booking Narcoosee's for our Nov/Dec trip. Haven't been there in years!

Back in 2007 we got to attend breakfast with Thomas Kincade and his wife (and many others) for the debut of his painting "A New Day At Cinderella Castle" Love it!

We haven't done Characters In Flight yet but hope to do it after the cruise. You'll have to let me know how you like it.

OK, Cinderella Castle is now another print I'd love to have. Thanks for the link, Mary. How neat that you got to have breakfast w/Mr. Kinkade. Do you have the print?

Lisa,

I did what you said and google it. All I can say is wow! Those painting are beautiful. I like that they have the different sizes. I like the night lite they sale. It is a painting in a frame. That has to be very pretty when lit up. Thanks for the info I enjoyed looking at them. Well I like looking at any thing that has to do with disney. Now that is sad.

I am goingto have to go to the art store in Downtown Disney to see if they have any that I could see in person in September.

Take care

Well, I think we're going to have to check Downtown Disney out too. I'd love to see the artwork in person.

Mary, you have such a good attitude. You will continue to be in my prayers and I will be more general by praying that you will be able to undergo your chemotherapy treatment. Prayer does work.

Oh man, we are going to the MNSSHP on different nights. We will be going to the MNSSHP on the 11th. I am looking forward to it.
We don't have any ADRs for after the BCV meet. We will just wing it.

Maybe we will run into each other at the MNSSHP since we will be going on the 11th too.

Marsha, I'm sorry we're not going to at the MNSSHP the same night, but I'll be your little guy is going to have a ball. If you've never gone, be sure to catch the parade and fireworks; they are amazing.

Hi Lisa,

I probably go by all the time especially on weekends when we head for the bridge! I never got a chance to ask you how Cub Scout camp was! Did you have a good time? :yay:

Camp was wet but fun. I was ready to come home and sleep in a dry bed with a dry pillow in dry pjs. :rotfl: This is how I felt my first night home :cloud9:

We went in December, It was nice but reminded me Rainforest also, If I remember correctly. Build a bear is in there and you can build a dinasour.

If I can locate some of the pictures soon I will post some. I was able to find their website which had some pictures posted also.

Congrats on the pirate and princess

Thanks for the information and the pictures you posted.

Glad you had a good time even with bad weather. We have been there many times and its just around the corner. Haven't been there for summer camp since they put in the new pool - how it that?

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!

DH decided that he needed to leave for camp early today - so guess who else is up! He has to go do something else before hand - so DS and I will go in the car car I guess.

Poor DS! He has to have five teeth pulled today - all baby teeth - so that the new teeth can come in for his braces in the fall. Not nice!! I hope everyone will think happy thoughts for him today. Only good part for him is I promised a really good milkshake later on. :)

Sue,

I do agree with you poor DS. My DS had to have his 4 front baby teeth pulled. The permenent teeth were coming out and the baby teeth would not. But because we did it early enough he did not need braces. So maybe he will luck out and the same will happen to him.

pixiedust:pixiedust: for DS.

take care.

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Sue - good luck to your DS on his dentist appointment today. Hopefully it won't be too bad and then he can go enjoy his milkshake!

Flo - that's great that you'll have family down at the same time. Here's hoping you can get together while down there. Maybe you can meet them for breakfast on Saturday. Breakfast always seems to be a quieter meal where you can really chat.

Joanne - we actually have two prints of it. One is a large framed and numbered one (we are 121/395). This was ordered before the breakfast and we could see it that morning but then it was shipped home for us. The second was a gift we got at the breakfast which was a smaller version in a golden frame with a mat said it was from the breakfast and dated. The large one is really a little too large but I love it and it is hanging in our dining room. The small one we hung down in our family room. We actually had two small ones (since both Mark and I got one) but I gave the second to a very good friend. We were also able to buy limited edition pins so I have a pin of the print as well. Again I bought 2 but gave one away.

Ouch! I know my oldest DD had to have teeth pulled before her braces. I guess for her it wasn't that bad. DH said they just popped out. And her teeth look sooooo good now. She has to go get a new retainer on Thursday because her other one was cracked. But, her orthodontist is saying her wisdom teeth are going to have to come out so they don't mess up all the work we have done so far. That is not good. And then this fall we have to get our youngest DD in to start her braces. Fun, fun!

So good luck to your son today. :wizard:

Just wondering if anyone has started working on their door magnets yet? Or are you going to do that?
