I am very excited today and I wanted to share it with all you Disney fans. I just paid off the balance on my very first Thomas Kincade (TK) Disney picture. I was not able to get the Snow White painting which was the first in the series but I did get the Pinocchio painting. I have not brought it home yet as it has to be framed and I am not ready for it here at the house. I do not want anything to happen to it so I am leaving it at the gallery for now.

The next painting in the series is Peter Pan which was not due out until September. It has already been released and it is also beautiful and also selling very quickly. You just have to see these painting in person. You can check them out online but it is just not the same.

I have one of TK's Christmas paintings. I wanted one for years and a few years back I was finally able to get one. I just love it.

Now that he is doing the Disney series I am so excited. They are definitely an investment as the value is going up very quickly. Not that I would ever sell them but at least I know I am investing in something that is actually increasing in value.

Just wanted to share my excitement!!

Wow, I love Thomas Kincade, you are very lucky....I did not even know there was a Disney Line. The best thing I have is a tapesry hung in my dinning room...Hmmm may be some day.

Well, morning all.

Flo, how is the jog hunting comming?

Lisa,

Congrats on your purchase and paying it off.:) I am sure that is a good feeling. If you can post a picture when you get it home. Peter Pan is going to be nice to. Were on line would you go look at them. Them being Disney make it even more special.

What a great suprise for your kids if the secreat can be kept about the grandparents.

take care

:surfweb:

Good Morning Flo!

You can search Thomas Kincade Disney Dreams Collection online. I used Google to search and found them no problem . The online view really does not give it justice. You do not get the same view of the colors but you will get the idea. There is so much detail in the pictures when you are looking at them up close.

As for the grandparents, it would drive them crazy if their grandkids were experiencing Disney without them. To tell you the truth I would not be surprised if they somehow show up on the cruise. Not sure how my mother would handle the cruise. The whole motion sickness thing. :scared:

Have a good day.

Lisa,

I did what you said and google it. All I can say is wow! Those painting are beautiful. I like that they have the different sizes. I like the night lite they sale. It is a painting in a frame. That has to be very pretty when lit up. Thanks for the info I enjoyed looking at them. Well I like looking at any thing that has to do with disney. Now that is sad.

I am goingto have to go to the art store in Downtown Disney to see if they have any that I could see in person in September.

Take care

Good Tuesday Morning! Hot and humid here today. But that's ok. Gets us closer to cruise time!

We are doing Narcoosee's after the cruise. They both loved that during our visit last year. DS is actually very excited that he is on the adult plan this year so he can order the surf and turf. He ate most of mine last year. As exciting as it is for him I am dreading having to pay the adult prices for him this year. :scared1:

Lisa

Lisa - We are also doing Narcoosee's after the cruise. In fact, our reservation is for Thursday night. We have never tried this place and it looks really good. Me and DH are going to try lots of new places this time. On Friday we are going to have a late lunch at Fulton's. Should be fun!

Congrats on the new painting. Sounds really cool.

Good Morning All!

I said last night that we were going to MNSSHP on the 13th - oops, silly me! We go on the 11th. We have an early dinner at Epcot and then heading over to MK. On Saturday, 12th, we're going to the Turf Club at SSR then to DD for some shopping but we also wanted to go up in the new tethered balloon.

Has anyone done that yet, and how was it?

Susie - We just stayed at SSR and I just love it there. We didn't actually eat at the Turf Club, but we sat in the little bar area with the pool table and had appetizers and drinks. And let me tell you, they were awesome. We liked it so much, we went back the next day for snacks too!

While we didn't do the Flights in Wonder Balloon ride, we watched it. Pretty darn cool. It was closed a lot of the time because of wind. However, we did see some go up and it would be fun to try sometime. It looked like it moved around quite a bit while going up and down. I'll be interested to see how you liked it.

Your parents sound like the type of grandparent I want to be someday! :lmao: I know that is a long ways off, but there ain't no way I would let my kids/grandkids go to Disney without me! Just no way. Nope, ain't a gonna happen. ;)

Good luck Flo on the job hunting. Something is bound to come along soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Well, have a great day everyone! :flower3:

Chris - Our ressie is for Thursday night also. Too funny!

Hi everyone!

Well I have good news and bad news.

The good news is my platelets where higher (still low but high enough to get chemo).

The bad news is my white blood count was too low now. So no chemo this week. I'm scheduled to try again next Monday. So I'm at work and going to enjoy the week and let my body get stronger.

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. I guess from now on we need to be more general and now wish for one particular thing. :)

Mary, you have such a good attitude. You will continue to be in my prayers and I will be more general by praying that you will be able to undergo your chemotherapy treatment. Prayer does work.

Mary, just keep thinking happy thoughts, which given your general positive attitude shouldn't be a problem. I do believe things will get better for you.

We just booked tickets for MNSSHP for the night of September 18th. Anyone else going to that?

Also, to those folks who are going to be at the BC meet: Have you made dinner plans? We initially thought we'd have dinner at Cape May, but we changed our minds and decided to go to Epcot after the meet and can't decide where to have dinner. Maybe the Biergarten?

Oh man, we are going to the MNSSHP on different nights. We will be going to the MNSSHP on the 11th. I am looking forward to it.
We don't have any ADRs for after the BCV meet. We will just wing it.

Good Morning All!

Looks like a pleasant day here in Jersey, although we are forecast for storms later - we'll see.

Maybe we will run into each other at the MNSSHP since we will be going on the 11th too.

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful and 4th of July weekend. We did not do much. We did not even see fireworks (except for the ones that were going off in our cul-de-sac and the cul-de-sac behind us.) I was just so happy that DS was back. I enjoyed spending time with him and my parents. Now, we are back to our regular routine. DS started a new daycare yesterday and had a great day according to the teacher. I think the two weeks between stopping his previous daycare and starting his new daycare helped.

On Saturday, I was able to do online check in for the cruise since my new passport finally arrived. I sent away for it in April and it took almost three months for me to get it back. But, all that matters is that it is here now. So, I was able to check that off my list. Checking things off means that I am that much closer to being on the cruise.:yay::banana:

Marsha,

Glad you DS and your parents had a great weekend. Also, that DS likes his day care. That is so important as a parent, it makes it a little eaiser on us.

I did my on line check in to. I just think that is so much easier then doing the paper work. What I also like is since they have the pasport numbers that will stay in the system for other cruises and you just have to check and make sure it is corret.

I do agree being able to check thing off means it is getting closer.:woohoo::woohoo: I just did the limo to the airport and home. So that is checked off.:yay::yay:

I think i am done now with all of that. Now I am making lists on what not to forget and putting things in the suitcase that won't be used.

I was so relieved that DS liked daycare. It made it easier for him when he saw his friend from his previous daycare. They hugged each other when they saw one another. Plus, DS is a friendly kid (when he wants to be :)).

I will start putting stuff in the suitcase once we come back from DH's brother's wedding in NC. In the meantime, I am writing things down as to what I want to pack so I don't forget.

I also need to call about a pack & play for our stateroom. I am also praying that DS won't get sea sick. He does fine in the car and likes to ride on rides so I don't think we should have any problems. But, I want to be prepared just in case so I guess I need to call the pediatrician to see what she recommends.

Hi Marsha!

I know it is nice to get a little time alone without kids. Even if it is to just do nothing. But, whenever my kids were away with their grandparents (at least when they were much younger) I found myself thinking about them, talking about them, shopping for them, and just waiting for them to get home. So I know how much you enjoyed your DS coming home.

Flo

Is the Fish Extenders list on the first page the most current list? Just want to confirm the number of cabins.

My original plan was to do some individual items - that is why I was inquiring about everyone's favorite characters and all but the individual list is getting so long that I do not think that is feasible at this point. I am rethinking my FE gifts. Need to get the most current listing.

Thanks! Lisa

Has anyone been to the new TRex restaurant at DD?

DS really wants to go there. We did not make it on our trip last November and I promised we would go on this trip. Thinking of heading over to DD upon our arrival on the 11th for lunch.

Then we can hit the Basin while we are there. The kids love the bath bombs and just smelling all the soaps. I love everything!!!

It was good to have some time to myself but i was exactly how you described. Since he is only 2 I wondered if he was changing by the day and if I was missing out on things. I did but some clothes for him too and he does not need anymore clothes. He did enjoy himself with his Mom Mom & Pop Pop and they enjoyed him. I am glad that he is able to spend time with them since they only live in NJ which is about 3 1/2 hours from me.

Linda...

I have done it twice, the first time by myself. Whith the owner of the boat . He was great and it was very informative, relaxing and nice.

The second time last year. I had Nancy go with me. The son of the boat took us out. He was VERY lazy. Ignored the guests, The trip was nowhere near as enjoyable. I would not go again if he was captain.

Both times there where only 6 - 8 people on the boat. Nice view of the Island and reef.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll tell my BIL the info and let him decide for himself.

I just got off the phone with Member services to make sure there will be a crib in the stateroom so another thing is checked off my list.

You probably passed right by us on your way home if you were heading to MD from NJ. We are right off the Delaware Memorial Bridge on the Jersey side.

Looking forward to meeting with you on the cruise!!!
