08 DEC 2007 - 7 Day Eastern Magic Part 2

We are "game" for the cigars and cognac. We are doing our Palo dinner on Wednesday. So, would Thursday evening work for the cognac & cigars for anyone else? Plus, I figured some of you would be getting your cigars onshore and have them by then to "enjoy". Which bar onboard allowed cigars? I believe Angie knew?

Also, did anyone figure out how/when to get everyone together for a "group" photo on Embarkation, Pirate Night and Formal Night?

Brack: Did you have the folks from Shutters take your photos or someone in the group? I'd hate for someone to be excluded because they were the "photographer". How did you do it last time?

If you can't tell, I am either really organized or anal. I think it is a fine line sometimes. :lmao: (and Bill no wise comments! ;) )

 I have a lot of questions this morning. . . I look forward to your responses, when you get up. :lmao:

- Jennifer

The cigars and cognac is actually an official DCL event! It is up by the adult pool, but I don't remember what night. It will be in the navigator.

FYI: someone mentioned on the other cruise site that he is scheduled for Brunch on Sunday in the "private room" with his TA and others. Does that mean Angie and her group got bumped from the private room or is there more than one Brunch sitting?

- Jennifer

Okay, now I really am going to bed! :cloud9:

I'm not sure if they have 2 sittings for the private room. I did request Monday as a back up. Also, I don't know that he KNOWS that they have Sunday since they don't do those ressies until 30 days out. His TA may have requested it. I'm not sure how DCL determines who they give it to. Are the suites given first choice? Is it first ask, first assigned? We will see. I requested it in early February.

Seems like such a shame to leave less the 25 posts away.. :sad2: But I can't think of anything worth while to say...

Going to look for ANgie's post about Palo to try and help you all out..

Looks like DH & I won't be doing a Brunch or High Tea this trip :guilty: Unless they open up when we get there..

Does Palo offer a waiting list? :confused3

Stacy, I have you and Andy on our group for Palo. If that comes thru you are good to go for brunch! There will be slots when we board.

Hi all, long story short....our family was supposed to be leaving Sat. on the Eastern, but due to my FIL's illness we have postponed our cruise until 12/8. Of course, if the circumstances remain the same, we'll reschedule until next Oct.

Anyway, we were part of the Cruise-A-Palooza group and I enjoyed posting on that DIS meet thread. :thumbsup2 I'd love to join your group~ there seems to be a LOT of pages in this thread. Any summarized info I can access?

I look forward to getting to know you all! Seems like a fun group! :)

Welcome aboard, Tracy!! :yay:

I don't know if it's an ego thing or a badge of honor, but I seem to always WANT to do the driving. :drive: It may be that I wouldn't be able to sleep in the car while it's moving anyway so I might as well drive and let Jennifer get some rest. :cloud9: I wish we could go straight through though as it would save us a couple of hundred dollars on the hotel in FL. Maybe we can try it on one of the 24 WDW trips we have planned over the next year. ;)

- Bill

Dennis is the same way. Even when I drive he cannot nap so he just keeps on driving!

tidoublegger:
:boat: Welcome Aboard!:boat:

This a great bunch of people! We can't wait to cruise in a few weeks! :cool1:

:welcome: Hi There... There is always room for more !!! Jump in and join the Maddness...

If you don't come with us in December.. There is another group of us going on the double dip in September ;)

Angie:

Do you work for DVC? If not, they need to hire you!:lmao:

- Jennifer

Nope, and the great state of Oregon will not even let DVC give us a little thank you for referrals. We just are so thankful that we found this and that we will be able to have these great vacations for years to come. :woohoo:

I wondered that too cause I went back this past weekend and actually skimmed through the entire thread up to where I joined. There are a *lot* of people that signed up at the beginning that we haven't heard from in a while. I'm guessing some are just lurking :)

I've also seen some of them confirm that they're still on this cruise in other forums. But maybe a couple have dropped out and didn't post to say so?

I know a few were booked and then canceled when the Canal cruises were announced. Some Geeks that we and Brack sailed with last Dec.

This was the route we took we arrived at 11:30 am and the very first thing the boys spotted was McDonalds, so yes we drove 1200 miles to eat at McD's even though there is one 1 mile from our house. The 1st night we stayed at DTD because we didn't know if we were driving straight through or not and couldn't check into POP until the next day.

I'm Impressed

 Has anyone attended the Tea With Wendy onboard? I was planning on getting myself and DD4 tickets on embarkation from Guest Services (free).

Heard about it and some people weren't impressed... But we don't have a young girl so I won't have the chance to go.. Maybe next year I can take my niece
