The drive up there was a piece of cake we each drove 5 hrs and the boys were just great they had a blast looking out the window checking everything out and eating waffles at 2:00 in the morning was the coolest thing ever.

I don't know if it's an ego thing or a badge of honor, but I seem to always WANT to do the driving. It may be that I wouldn't be able to sleep in the car while it's moving anyway so I might as well drive and let Jennifer get some rest. I wish we could go straight through though as it would save us a couple of hundred dollars on the hotel in FL. Maybe we can try it on one of the 24 WDW trips we have planned over the next year.

This was the route we took we arrived at 11:30 am and the very first thing the boys spotted was McDonalds, so yes we drove 1200 miles to eat at McD's even though there is one 1 mile from our house. We too keep talking about Australia & Ireland & Alaska as our Must see

We think alike. We have Australia, Ireland (I'm half Irish) and Alaska all on our "Must Do. . . " List. Also, Hawaii.

Our eldest, out of the blue lately, has been talking about going to Alaska. He's seen snow a couple of times in his life. But, I think he thinks Alaska is one big snow ball. He said it would be "cool" to play in the snow. I want to go see the beautiful snow-capped mountains and breathe the crisp fresh air.

My only must see was WDW but my mom already plans to go on an Alaska Cruise (2009), visit Australia (2010) and Hawaii (2011)....... I guess disney just read her mind and decided they might as well take her money instead of someone else.

They are sneaky like that. We've come to the realization that we will always pay more for Disney (the parks, hotels, DVC, cruises, dvds, etc. . . ). We're willing to pay a little extra for the "magic" of Disney. There's nothing like it . . .

I love that photo! It would make the whole trip to Australia worth it for me, if I could hold a koala bear. They are so cute! What a great trip! We've always talked about going to Australia. It is another place to put on our "100 Places to See Before I Die" list. (1,000 just seemed too long!)

Palo still shows Dinner is available.. at least for 1-2 quests.. Cause that is the count in our room..

That's so weird. I keep checking (at least 3-4 times a day) and it's always grayed out for me as nothing available. Do you already have a Palo dinner reservation? Maybe it stays lit because technically you can go in and make changes?

I believe I read where JoAnne keeps trying and getting the grayed out Palo too.

Ever wonder what happens to the people who starts threads and then you hardly see them.. Or people saying they are joining you on a specific date and then never hearing from them again...

I went pack to page 1 of this thread and start reading all the pre-me posts.. There are names I've never seen here..

I wondered that too cause I went back this past weekend and actually skimmed through the entire thread up to where I joined. There are a *lot* of people that signed up at the beginning that we haven't heard from in a while. I'm guessing some are just lurking

I've also seen some of them confirm that they're still on this cruise in other forums. But maybe a couple have dropped out and didn't post to say so?

That looks great! I'll try and find some semi-formal clip art. I am awake early this morning and have the time. For some reason, Will and Emily decided to play air hockey at 1 am. I think they forgot we have a monitor in Cole's room. So, I could hear them upstairs. Now, I am having a hard time going back to sleep!

I think the Palo Brunch organized by Wendy is on Monday, December 10th. At least, that is what I have on my calendar. If I am wrong, someone please correct me. I DON'T want to miss this "hot" reservation. I find it hard to believe every Palo meal is booked solid. Once, we get the confirmation on the private room for Brunch, there will be at least 12 Palo Brunch reservations open. So, maybe we could give some of those to others in need on here? How would that work?

Edit: I found some "formal" clip art, but no semi-formal clip art. They copied way too big into photobucket. My "technical" support is counting sheep right now. So, I may bother him later to assist me.

We have the Palo private room requested Sunday with back up Monday. I think that Wendy does have Monday with back up Thursday requested. We should be hearing in early Nov. There will be several Palo ressies open then. We can post hear as soon as we get the word and then the rest can try to grab those that are canceled.

Hi all, long story short....our family was supposed to be leaving Sat. on the Eastern, but due to my FIL's illness we have postponed our cruise until 12/8. Of course, if the circumstances remain the same, we'll reschedule until next Oct.

Anyway, we were part of the Cruise-A-Palooza group and I enjoyed posting on that DIS meet thread. I'd love to join your group~ there seems to be a LOT of pages in this thread. Any summarized info I can access?

I look forward to getting to know you all! Seems like a fun group!
