I could never do that. I don't understand HOW people can justify to themselves that it's OK to go save chairs HOURS before they intend to use them. I don't get this whole thing. We only swam a few times on the cruise and overall I did not notice a problem with chair saving. We were on a sold out sailing too, so it must just depend on the sort of group on any given sailing.
This drives me ccccrazy!!!!
We have a timeshare in Southern Spain where we try and go for a few weeks every July. Our unit is a pretty, white-painted 3 storey town house and is opposite the smaller pool - there is no one nearer. It doesn't matter how early we get up (I mean, we're on vacation for beeps sake!!!) but, even tho' the pool area is deserted, half a dozen of those loungers are covered in red pool towels AND THERE'S A SIGN TELLING FOLK NOT TO DO IT!!! Yes, you've guessed it, one of my pet peeves...

). I'll try and catch up with you guys when I can!
to help you out...
We even took the DVC tour there but didn't sign up. I'm sorry to say we just didn't "get it"!!! We had spend many more $$$$$$$ on

Are you having anything engraved inside?
) but he managed to lose his shortly after we returned from our cruise!!! I was more than a little mad

Nothing so exciting here - just grey skies and a little rain...
