I could never do that. I don't understand HOW people can justify to themselves that it's OK to go save chairs HOURS before they intend to use them. I don't get this whole thing. We only swam a few times on the cruise and overall I did not notice a problem with chair saving. We were on a sold out sailing too, so it must just depend on the sort of group on any given sailing.

This drives me ccccrazy!!!! We have a timeshare in Southern Spain where we try and go for a few weeks every July. Our unit is a pretty, white-painted 3 storey town house and is opposite the smaller pool - there is no one nearer. It doesn't matter how early we get up (I mean, we're on vacation for beeps sake!!!) but, even tho' the pool area is deserted, half a dozen of those loungers are covered in red pool towels AND THERE'S A SIGN TELLING FOLK NOT TO DO IT!!!

Yes, you've guessed it, one of my pet peeves... ;)

Happy Sunday everyone! Just wanted to check in and say hi! I won't be around much for the next few months. I am working, taking two classes for my masters and moving to a new apartment next month (cheaper rent=more Disney money :yay: ). I'll try and catch up with you guys when I can!

Melissa

Good luck with that, Melissa! :thumbsup2 Sounds like the next few months are going be very hectic for you - so here's a little pixiedust: to help you out...

Seasonal allergies - but severe at time. His primary allergens are grass, trees, weeds, and so forth. Throw in dust as well.

He actually receives sublingual immunotherapy (under the tongue drops) which is considered investigational in the US, but is a common form of treatment elsewhere. The drops are given daily at home. He needs to evaluated annually (hence the appt next week).

Poor boy! I have mild allergies that create sinus issues if left unattended - and that's bad enough!!! Good luck with the evaluation... :thumbsup2

Sunday, is my normal food shopping day, (yeah I cook and actually shop for food too) eat your heats out girls. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Whaddaguy!!!! :thumbsup2

My DH does the main food shopping too - all the big stuff I hate getting. Actually he cooked last night too - spicy meatloaf and salad...

...Boy was that a mistake today, since they are calling for snow,

The stores was packed , all the worry warts are out grabbing anything in site from the shelfs.

...Sounds like a GREAT Family relaxing vacation. How long were you there for?? I think it sounds Wonderful..

We spent a week in Vero back in Easter 2000. Loved the resort! :worship: We even took the DVC tour there but didn't sign up. I'm sorry to say we just didn't "get it"!!! We had spend many more $$$$$$$ on Disney vacations before the penny dropped... ;)

...I ended up getting a Canon EOS Rebel XT 18-55mm, additional Lens 75 -300MM, Flash, and Case. Taking Case back since it really isn't what I needed. I can't wait to use it on our upcoming trips...
Sounds fab, Denise! I have a Canon (not as high spec as yours) and got some good fireworks shots in EPCOT last October - I just get bored of carrying a big camera and invariably use my Pentax (which slips in a pocket) instead... :sad2:

Since tomorrow is a work day, I came across this

Things you'd love to say at work
I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.

I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate

yourself in public.

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

It sounds like English, but I can't understand a word

you're saying.

I can see your point, but I still think you're full of it.

I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid.

You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.

I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't give a

damn.

I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.

Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.

What am I? Flypaper for freaks!?

Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.

And your crybaby whiny-butt opinion would be...?

Do I look like a people person?

This isn't an office. It's Hell with fluorescent

lighting.

Sarcasm is just one more service we offer.

If I throw a stick, will you leave?

I'm trying to imagine you with a personality.

Can I trade this job for what's behind door #1?

How do I set a laser pointer to stun?

I thought I wanted a career, turns out I just wanted a paycheck.

My DH is doing appraisals this week - I think I'll forward it to him... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

They must know it isn't OK. I'm pretty sure it says in the Navigators that it's not OK... :confused3

We didn't notice it being a problem on our cruise either - also sold out. I think you're right - it's just folk with a certain mentality... :sad2:

Exactly. I think most people are courteous, etc., but some people are really focused on themselves - same folks who drive on the highway shoulder with their flashers on when there is a traffic jam!

Mine and DH's 10 year anniversay is coming up Feb 21st so I decided to buy him a new wedding band. The current ring he has is too small. He can still wear it but it is tight! It has such a design that it can't be extended. The ring I bought him is just for presentation. We will have to go back and order another for correct size as well as there is some discoloration on the gold. It was a brand new design they got in so I hope this isn't a problem with this particular ring, and just a fluke. Anyway, I told the salesperson our anniv wasn't until Feb 21st. Before I left she reconfirmed that I can bring it back to reorder. I got home and was checking out the receipt and it says 30 day return policy!! Our anniversary is farther out than 30 days! Should I go ahead and give it to DH so we can get a new one by anniversary time, call the store and complain that she didn't tell me in advance it was 30 days knowing my anniversary is after 30 days, or how should I handle. DH did not ask for a ring and I'm sure won't be overly-thrilled with it but I wanted to give him something with meaning.

I'd give it him early so you can have the real thing for your anniversary... :) Are you having anything engraved inside?

I bought DH and myself new matching wedding rings for our anniversary (to my surprise he'd already had a beautiful new engagement ring made for me :cloud9: ) but he managed to lose his shortly after we returned from our cruise!!! I was more than a little mad ;) but realised that the style hadn't quite worked on his finger. So, when I re-ordered, I changed the fit (as well as having a message engraved inside)... It still matches mine but isn't as chunky. I didn't tell him what I'd done and gave it him for Christmas - he was very happy... :lovestruc

Congratulations, Jennifer!!! This is going to be an awesome cruise... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

They are saying 8-15 inches.....for CT....

They are saying 3 to 7 inches. Sounds like that wet heavy stuff.
But then some are saying 10 inches.. Time will tell.

2-4 inches here in central NJ (predicted) Apparently that means people think they'll be snowed it for months and sends them to the stores!!

We are also having very snowy weather today, the weather person said less then 1 inch for the day....We are about 4 inches right now...

Meant to say earlier - hope you guys with snow are all OK... :grouphug: Nothing so exciting here - just grey skies and a little rain...

I agree with you I hate this, so far we have not had that many problems with it. When we went on our last Disney cruise it wasn't a problem for us, although we didn't try and get any chairs around the little kids pool so that might be why. The biggest problem we have had so far is in St Thomas, we have a Time Share there. There is a really nice large infinity pool with lots of chairs. They even tiered the seating so no matter where you sit you have a great view of the ocean the problem is the small number of umbrellas. Its so hot during the day you really need to have an umbrella to sit under, and they are usually taken up in the AM with towels that never seem to have any people with them. Oh well I guess its something we have to put up with....

I know I love my small digital and will probably take only that one with us on vacation, its been years since I lugged a big camera around. I think I might try to take the big one with us to St Thomas in June and if that works out ok then I probably will take it to Ireland(first time) and Disney Cruise. As I get older the less I am willing to carry around, I pack less and less each trip I go on.

Give them a half hour to return, put a slip of paper there with a time stamp on it, if no one is back after 1/2hr take the space. Just have a couple of the no chair saving rules with you.
