Wow-

You guys are good :)

It will be my Mother, My Aunt, and my Sisters

The kids will be 15, 14, 12, 12, 10, 8, 7, 7, 6, & 5

Thanks for the info on the hotels -

We are already on looking up the ports - something fun to do when it is 4 degrees outside -

We are the biggest Disney geeks-

Sara

Here we're all proud of our Disney geek-ness!! :rotfl:

What a great group of kids!!! When the teens get their thread up and running, I hope the older 4 or 5 will join in! It's a bit early yet, but we'll post the link here when it's available.

Have y'all cruised DCL before?

Stay warm -- we've been having a winter blast here in Georgia too; but then I've lived in Minneapolis and the Dakotas so this is nothing!!!

Since it's still "easy" (and Stacey's still asleep!), I might as well grab a morning TOP!! :woohoo:

guess I grabbed it in the previous post! boards are acting up this morning!!

Laura, nice setup for the T.O.P. with the "double post"...... ;) :rotfl:

Good game last night - had one of my docs over - with his 3 sons..... wow... they are so well behaved - but - Boys are Boys.... ages 5,3 and 4 months....

That's what I get for being greedy!! :lmao:

Ahhhh, sweet little boys --- but then they grow up to be big boys!!! :rotfl2:

Game was good. I'm happy for Peyton (and Tony Dungy).
:thumbsup2

Good Morning guys and Gals!

The other hotel near the port that I'm looking at is a Crowne Plaza. Sounds expensive, I know, but a whole lot cheaper than a night at the Disneyland hotels........

I saw the Crowne Plaza - it looks very nice. The Doubletree looks nice too. Maybe we should be on the lookout for *specials*? Group rates? ;)

:flower: Good Morning Everyone!

Good morning, Monica!!

Last night I checked pricing online for the 6/8/08 cruise. It hasn't gone up (at least not Cats 5-12) since rates were first released. I guess that means this cruise isn't a *Hot Seller* -- at least not yet!

Good news for those who have yet to book. (Monica? OK - I know you're not planning to book, but we can keep hoping, can't we?!!) ;)

:thumbsup2 I keep checking Barb's website - she offers group rates through her parent company which is how we met the blabbermouths. I won't be officially not going until the ship sails away. Although, I do have to admit - I'm excited about DL...

Checkbook will be taking a hit this month. Last week the main computer died, a cup of water spilled onto the laptop (my fault), we owe taxes, and Mike got the word yesterday from the dentist...braces:scared1:

Oh, you're having one of THOSE kind of months too?!! I can totally relate!! Sitting here all morning doing taxes. I'm relieved we don't owe "too much"!! Won't file them until April, but we have to get the numbers done for Rachel's FAFSA. (that's tomorrow's project!!)

Does Mike need prep work or will he just go right into braces? Tori had to have the expander on for 4 or 5 months prior to the braces. Poor thing - it took her several days before she'd try to eat solid foods! We're down to the last 12 "convenient monthly payments"!!!

Never hurts to keep checking those rates - something good might come along. :surfweb: DL will be fun - if nothing else, at least we know we'll see y'all then! :woohoo:

Don't know yet - the Dentist said he didn't need to refer Michael to an orthodontist - he thought he could do his ortho work. It seems straight forward, but we'll know after the molds, x-rays etc. and then wait 3 weeks until the consult. I really like this dentist - Maggie's played soccer with his daughter for the last 2 years. He is always on time - and will take both kids at the same time. The bad part is he doesn't have evening hours. Initial work-ups (molds, etc) are only done between the hours of 8-12. Mike's monthly appointments will alternate between am and pm hours. It goes against everything that has been ingrained into me as a teacher's daughter to have him miss school.

I haven't told him about the pain - he plays trombone - it will be an interesting transition. I'm hoping he can get them on and have the spring and summer to practice and work with his private lesson instructor to adjust his playing properly before auditions and placements in August.

Hi

We are on the Aug 3,08 Cruise.
me -d(51), dw Beth(51) & dd Caitlin(11)

I noticed you are covering some of the same gound we are.
I will be interested in the link of places to stay pre cruise too.

Hope you dont mind if I also use some info you come across.

Have a great cruise.
Ed

That's encouraging - that the dentist can do the work! Must not be anything major. Tori's evaluation form had just about everything checked (so many problems!) After the expander though, she's never really had much pain. Her biggest complaint was the tablets she had to take to dry her saliva - yuck!

Before she had any work done, many of her friends were "warning" her about all the different problems she was going to have. I told her that each person's experience is different - and sure enough, she really has had an easy time of it (even with the expander after that initial couple of days!!) ;)

Hi, Ed! Of course we don't mind sharing info with you! Feel free to try any of the links Stacey posted and check back here from time to time in case we've added anything new. It might be slow-going for awhile because we are still so many months from the trip, but we'll get serious about finding good places to stay before too long! :thumbsup2

Good Evening, Cruisers! It's been a beautiful gorgeous 70 degree day in Houston - if you're in the artic cold snap, y'all can gloat in July when we're hot and humid! Until then stay warm!!!

Houston is all abuzz with the astronaut love triangle...Should be quite the news story around here for awhile...

Good morning!

Our weather here in Georgia is still on the chilly side. I sure miss those 70's of several weeks ago!!

I've been following the astronaut story - almost too bizarre to believe!!! Here in Atlanta we have the former secretary who tried to sell Coke secrets to Pepsi. (Pepsi turned her in!! :thumbsup2) She was just convicted, returned home to await sentencing next month, and her apartment burned down within an hour (and yes, it started in HER apartment!!). Now they want her back in jail immediately because she's a "flight risk" (ya think?!!)

Who needs the Soaps when you have these real-life stories?!! :rotfl:

Good morning, Monica!! :wave2:

I've been waiting for a call from my Dad. My step-mom is having major surgery on her neck this morning. She's 77 and in good health so I'm sure all will be fine. Just need that confirming phone call!

(look at that, Stacey - here I am sitting by the phone again!! :rotfl2:)
