Apart from the obvious Castaway Cay, just wondering who has done any of these ports before ?....and what did you do ?

We have done ;
Cozumel - we did the Xcaret Park...wonderful but just not enough time to do it justice and we felt DCL really scrimpted on the food voucher, which gave you a mediocre burger & fries...when there was so much authentic Mexican food on offer.

Grand Cayman - a very special place for us ! Last time we docked in 2008 off the Magic we got married ! It was at a wonderful waterside restaurant called Grand Old House - 10 minutes south of Georgetown. We then went to a lovely nearby small, locals' beach called Smith's Cove (renamed Smith Baracade since we were last there) for some 'Trash The Dress' shots.
Disappointed our stay is to be so short there - but I expect we might return to the 'scene of the crime' this time round again !

Never been to Jamaica - so very excited about that !

Hoping to get a Cabana on Castaway Cay - though I'm not holding out much hope of getting one.

Any thoughts /experiences/ recommendations from others would be appreciated.

I meant to jump on here on 1/10/2013 and do a reminder that we are down to 500 days and counting! Well, I guess I will have to blame it on post-holiday insanity.

I'm DizDaddy (Tony) and I'm married to Susan (sues14).

Yes we will have a very large group, as we have had on prior cruises.....it's not a travel club or anything.....ours are all family members. Susan is the baby of 14 (no multiple births) and so we have HUUUUUGGGGGE family gatherings. With this cruise, we just have more that we have influenced with our love of all things DCL and Disney.

Our last trip was in May of 2012, Eastern on the Fantasy. Love that ship and I'm struggling with going back to any of the others. We did the Eastern (again) in May, so we are looking forward to the new Jamaica stop on the Western.

Favorite part of the ship? Satellite Falls definitely. So tranquil. Love that curtain of rain, like sitting near a waterfall.

Looking forward to meeting everyone here as well. After booking, we have found that friends made from our prior travel thread are joining us on the same cruise this time, which is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! I helped maintain that thread, and invite you all to take a look at the first few pages.....and see if there is any interest in following a similar setup here......

Hi Julie----I'll answer for Susan, and you will find that she does the same for me at times....

We were on the May 19th-May 26th sailing.

With this 2014 sailing, Susan and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on May 27th!

Hi everyone . My family and I are set to sail on the 5/24/14 Fantasy sailing . We are one of the groups that previously sailed with Tony and Sue . This will be our third sailing with some incredible DIS friends that we met before our May 2009 sailing . There were some incredible bonds made and we now have some true lifelong friends . I made my first Disneyland visit with JorDan after my 50+ WDW trips and my husband and I will be going to WDW this May with Lynsey, her husband Jason and their absolutely adorable daughter Kaitlyn . The DHs share a love of hunting, so there have been hunts for deer, hogs and bears . I'm smiling just thinking about the fun that we have had both on and off the cruise .

OK, time for "official" introductions . I'm Kathy, an Accountant by day and a WDW trip planner by night . I love to help family and friends plan WDW trips,getting the biggest bang for their buck. I would truly love to be a travel agent (specializing in Disney of course ). I have 50+ trips to WDW under my belt. I get the same pre-vacation butterflies before every trip . WDW is truly my "happy place". My husband Brian "tolerates" my Disney obsession. He goes on about every other WDW trip with me, but he LOVES the Disney cruises !! Our son Jake is a recent graduate of Purdue University, majored in Physics and minored in Astronomy. He is currently applying to grad schools, hoping to get in to a Masters or PhD program. If that doesn't work out, he'll begin his job search . Jakes has ~25 WDW trips and 4 Disney cruises under his belt. Not too shabby . Also joining us will be Jake's girlfriend of 3+ years, MaryRose. We took MaryRose on her "trip of firsts" last May. Her first commercial flight, her first trip to WDW and her first cruise. Needless to say, she LOVED it all . She is already soooo excited about the next cruise. I really hope that Jake and MaryRose can make the cruise, but they both have some uncertainties with school/jobs.

As Tony mentioned, he was very instrumental in keeping our previous cruise thread alive . He and Sue were great neighbors to have on deck 2


I hope to get to know everyone a little better over the next 16 short months .

We took our son-in-law to DW for the first time this past Nov. and are planning a trip to DL in June with the kids and grandkids. Looking forward to that, they are going to LOVE Cars Land! We got to go for one day back in Sept. while we were in LA for a wedding and visiting family. Cars Land is amazing!

Julie, I know Tony answered you already but I don't want to ignore anyone ever. I just never respond as good as him. Im a little less wordy and a little more flighty. Now for real.... We went on the Fantasy May 19, 2012 and were on the Magic in Feb of 2010. My daughter who is 19 was on the magic also in Feb 2008. All three to the same place. Tony and I went on the NCL Epic in Sep of 2012. Yes that was two cruises in one year we were so lucky. I just think that there is nothing like Disney but I enjoyed it too. I am so looking forward to getting to know every one here on the boards. I did really enjoy the fun of the two years of getting to know everyone on our last meet. I know we have less time but we will make it work.

That is so cool that you got married at one of the ports. So neat and it will be great to go back. Cool photo opt I think. As far as other ports we did Cozumel before. Cant tell you much about it as I did no attractions there. I was not able to walk very well and went around on my scooter. Tony did go to the ruins (I think) I don't think we will do much at the port this time. I will get off and shop of coarse. LOL (Tony don't read that) Looking forward to seeing what other people say.

Kathy! Hi Girl, I hope all is well with you and your bunch. I am so glad to see that your Key Lime Pie group will be with us. I am sooo happy I hope to hear from some of the others too. I couldn't believe when Tony was reading on Facebook after we booked our cruise that you guys and Debbie were booked to. I agree it doesn't seem like it will be long and we will be cruising. I am so jealous that you get to do Disney so much. We are so far away and so poor we can only do it every other year. Poor unfortunate soles that we are. Pitiful aren't I. I hope your son and his girlfriend can make it this time. I think we have a good week the kids should be out of college and the little ones if they miss school should only miss the very end. I just want everyone to go and be happy.

Hi everyone, I am JorDan and from the KLP group.
This will be our 6th Disney cruise, 2nd on the Fantasy. We LOVE cruising with our friends we met in May 2009.
We live out in Utah, so we frequent Disneyland a bunch, going a few times a year. We are farther from our KLP friends so we don't get to see them as often. But I do love being a DL tour guide to anyone coming out.
My husband Chad and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary that May 2014. Our son will be 4 yrs old and can't wait to be in the kids club finally, the last cruise was torture as he loved the Toy Story room.
Excited for this cruise!!

We are part of the DCL family from the May 2012 sailing - a wonderful group of people that have become close friends! I am so excited to be sailing again with everyone!

On the Magic in 2009, I sailed with my DH (Joni - pronounced Yoni), my DD (Sabrina - now 11) and my DS (Kai - now 8). My DH HATED every moment of it so in 2012, me and kids sailed without him.

It was an amazing trip and DH got very very jealous and swore never to let us go again without him so, you guessed it, he is coming along this time!

I have mixed emotions - very glad he is coming as he is my best friend ever but sure hope he isn't a downer AND I still want to spend lots of time with my friends!!! I think it will be ok but have already issued many warnings

We sailed on deck 2 with everyone else last year but DH insists on a balcony so think we are on deck 10 - like I said, a bit nervous about things this time!

The kids are already very excited. I am worried that Sabrina will be ending her 6th grade year and we have to pull her out of the last week of school for this but counting on the fact that it is a blow off week (no finals in 6th grade).

Ok - back to real life but promise to come back and provide more details, pictures etc.

Hello folks! Coming to you live from the airport having just got off the fantasy western Caribbean cruise. The weather was not so great so we felt, needed, to try it again! This will be our third Disney cruise and I am hooked! We booked on the ship, so didn't get the great deals either, but no worries!!
There will be 4 of us, heather and Jeff, kids Casey and Sarah.
We would love to be added to a fish extender list if anyone has one going yet. Not even home and can't wait to do it again!!!!!

So glad to see that we will be cruising with both old friends and new friends . I may be just a "little" biased, but DIS cruisers are THE best !

Four weeks from today I will be arriving in Key West with my 5 sisters for a week long stay . We are celebrating my 2nd oldest sister's 60th birthday . We all went to Las Vegas when my oldest sister turned 60 a few years ago. I cannot wait for the warmth of the Florida sun and to be able wear shorts and flip flops and tool around Key West on this . Hi Mati, I am so happy your husband will be joking in. He will love it or we will throw him over! How is Sabrina doing? Well I hope! And Kai? I bet they are both growing up so fast!
