Yep, pulled the trigger on it today. Pam and I will be joining you guys.

It'll be great to see Tony & Susan, Mati, Debbie and Kathy again (who did I miss?).

Mati: We'll be up on deck 10 too. We wanted to be close to the spa and adult area since that's where we spend most of our time :)

That is Awesome John!!! So glad to hear you are on this one too!

Hi Mati, I am so happy your husband will be joking in. He will love it or we will throw him over! How is Sabrina doing? Well I hope! And Kai? I bet they are both growing up so fast! I can't wait to talk with everyone again! Tony and I are in 2033 again!!!!! But I really don think it matters too much where you are. My family is mostly booked on the 7th floor again. But we have a few left wanting to book.

Hi Sue!!! Thanks for asking! Sabrina is doing well. Slipped off starting block during the swim meet this weekend and her dive looked horrible for her back but she is fine - she even finished her relay leg of the 50 fly without losing time for the team. Kai is big - funny how fast they grow. Can't wait to see you guys again!

So glad to see that we will be cruising with both old friends and new friends :thumbsup2. I may be just a "little" biased, but DIS cruisers are THE best pixiedust:!

Four weeks from today I will be arriving in Key West with my 5 sisters for a week long stay :beach:. We are celebrating my 2nd oldest sister's 60th birthday princess:. We all went to Las Vegas when my oldest sister turned 60 a few years ago. I cannot wait for the warmth of the Florida sun and to be able wear shorts and flip flops and tool around Key West on this :moped: . And do a little of this :drinking1:drinking1:drinking1 . Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Kathy - just a little bit -- ok a LOT jealous!!! How fun!

Hello all! We just moved our 2013 Alaska cruise to this cruise as we had a conflict this year. This will be the 5th DCL trip for me and DD(10) and the 6th for DW. We would love to be involved in the FE list.

Looking forward to seeing everyone,

Tidefan

Oh, and we are in 5522 in one of those split floor plan 8A's. We are stoked about that...

Hi to everyone - especially our new thread meet joiners !:goodvibes

I am happy to start organising the FE if nobody else wants specifically to do it - I've organised a few in the past.:surfweb:

If you are all willing I'll start compiling the list on page one of this meet thread, using an old post by editing it - this should mke it easy to find for everyone.
Last time I organised one for a longer cruise the FE list got pretty BIG...around 30 subscribers ! In that instance, in the interests of not having to pack & carry an additional suitcase each (!), we split the list in two, BUT we also accommodated anyone who wanted to do the whole list (there were a few !).

I should have added that when we split the list we had Group 1 as generally "younger family" age groups and Group 2 as "older (teens) family / adult only"....on the basis that people with similar aged kids would have a better insight as to what is appropriate/ appealing to those age groups. It also made it easier to manage, less contraversial as to who would be in which group, and much less 'political' than splitting by decks/cabins etc.

Of course it may not come to that...but best to have a plan from the start.:teacher:

Let's move this thread back up to page one, where it belongs :cool1:! So, is anyone else ready to say adios to Winter :confused3???? I sure am :furious:. We have had crazy weather...60º and thunderstorms one day and 6º two days later :headache:!! I need some warm Florida sun to recharge my battery :beach:.

I'm with you on that one !!...we're off to Barbados next week

..can't wait...ten days in the sun !! :beach:

:cheer2: Yay!:cheer2: Tell Pam I said Hello!

We'll be on deck 7 forward this time.

Hmm, thought that I had 'daily email' updates on for this thread. :confused3

Just texted her and passed on your "HI". Going to be fun, can't wait. But, we have two cruises before this one. So we don't have too long to wait to cruise, just a long time to see you all again.

So glad to hear you and Pam will be joining in on the fun! How was your last cruise? Miss ya both!

Last cruise with WDWRadio group and Richard Sherman was . . . I'm at a loss for words. Fantastic! Magical! Outstanding! doesn't even BEGIN to cover it. We had a two hour 'show' with Richard. You can see some of it on WDW Radio site, but the quick report. He told stories of his brother, Bob and Walt and him and how many of the songs came about. Absolutely amazing, especially to get to sing along with the man that wrote the music. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. Had a bunch of group things going on - Chinese auction, pajama party, big picture taken on Castaway Cay. We also had an Illuminations private party the night before sailing. Met some nice folks there too. One of our future cruises is this November with the group again. It will be a 7 night this time around (only 4 nights this last time).

Say hi to Tony for me! (never mind, he'll be reading this for sure - HI TONY!)

GREAT! We are in for sure! Last year we split as well since the list got quite long but there were those who gave to all.

We think alike Kathy! I have been checking almost daily and then gave up when saw nothing posted. let's keep this on page 1 :goodvibes

Ok, so GOOOOOOD MORNING! :surfweb:

The kids are off to school, Joni is snoozing upstairs in a chair (long story but this is a good thing) and I don't have a meeting until 10 so taking some time just for me to do some online shopping, cruise planning, etc. :goodvibes

First off -- Tony, I am TOTALLY using my cruise countdown and think of you and Sue every time I look at it. Brings a smile to my face. I would post a pic on FB but trying to be careful about what I share there regarding my adventures. Just wanted you to know, it is in use!

Some of you know -we booked a cruise a few weeks back for April out of Galveston! We are sailing on Magic for 6 nights to GC and Mexico. Joni's friends from Finland (and their kids) are coming with us. We got in on the Kids Sail Free deal. Our cruise for a cat 5A, for 4 of us, cost the same as the Cat 11 three of us had on the Fantasy last year - such a good deal, was hard to pass up!

I am very excited and cruise planning. The meet thread there is quiet but they are doing an FE exchange. I was on the fence but the kids pushed me over (wasn't hard) and we are participating in it! :goodvibes So, if you don't mind, may toss ideas off you guys while I figure out what to get for them. We are driving to the port so that leaves a lot of options open for me compared to Florida.

Ok, back to my shopping while Joni is still asleep and I have to play nurse :scared1: (I am NOT a good nurse). He had surgery on Friday and is doing well but still in some pain. :worried:

Have a good day everyone!!!
Mati

Sounds like a great trip :thumbsup2! I leave for Key West in 18 days (not like I'm counting or anything :)!). My DH Brian drove some friends to the airport this morning who are flying to Key West for their brother's wedding this Saturday . I helped them plan their free time a bit since we have been to Key West a few times. Can't wait for that warm sand between my toes :beach: !

Tony and Susan: me too. We have the countdown calendar on top of the microwave in the kitchen so we see it all the time. Love that thing!

Glad to hear it.....we made so many we were SICK of seeing them! We bought lots of items building up to the cruise date and then scrambled to get them done on time! LOL. TRUST ME....it makes us happy that they were not thrown away or stuffed in a box somewhere!

MATI....the minute we returned, my 21 year old son confiscated the tequila and shot glass! PAM AND JOHN.... the sand broom was an awesome idea...very clever! So, now we have to figure out what's next....right?

Oh John,

I am so jealous. I knew the cruise you went on was with Richard Sherman. I knew you would have fun. But a sing-along, Oh my gosh I am jealous. Think that's the one thing I missed on our Cruise. When my sister went on her first cruise there was a piano player playing in the main lobby, only Disney music, all the time. I wish we would've had that. Thanks for sharing John.

Sounds like amazing fun. But really what could be more fun than listening to and singing Disney songs for the 14 hour drive to Florida? BTW, Jungle Book is my fave Disney soundtrack.

So...

Were all of you guys on a previous cruise together, or are you all friends from home?

Hi everyone, I am JorDan and from the KLP group.
This will be our 6th Disney cruise, 2nd on the Fantasy. We LOVE cruising with our friends we met in May 2009.
We live out in Utah, so we frequent Disneyland a bunch, going a few times a year. We are farther from our KLP friends so we don't get to see them as often. But I do love being a DL tour guide to anyone coming out.
My husband Chad and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary that May 2014. Our son will be 4 yrs old and can't wait to be in the kids club finally, the last cruise was torture as he loved the Toy Story room.
Excited for this cruise!!
Hi jorDan! Sorry I missed you last time I went through the thread. Im glad to see you are also booked on this cruise. Maybe we will meet this time. Yea on ten years thats great and I am glad your son Graysen, will be able to spend time in Andy's room. It looked way cool to me.

So true Kathy, we had 60 degree weather then snow the next. We say in St. Louis "if you don't like the weather here just wait fifteen minutes".
