04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

Hey Sue;

got your e-mail....cool we'll see you on the 29th

yeah, we are flying into LAX....but next year, we are heading back to LAX, but do plan on going to DL

thanks anyway

Robin

:thumbsup2To add to what Sue mentioned, over an hour to DL from LAX, depends on time of day. She is spot on about two days and rental car, will compare cost on our Sept DL trip. Thanks for the reminder:thumbsup2

I have a question to all that are to Disneyland before the cruise; a couple of questions:

#1: are you flying in a day prior or two days prior?

#2: are you staying @ a resort or hotel near the airport?

#2(a): if staying near the airport, possible that DW & I could get with you to go to Disneyland, we should be to the hotel around 1:00pm (I know it is late)

#3: does anybody know what type of transportation they have a hotel near the airport to Disneyland?

flying all this way (from VA) and not go ing to Disneyland doesn't make sense.

Thx in advance

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

We are flying in on 4/23, staying at DVC Grand Californian :thumbsup2 Probably take Super Shuttle to DL Have not figured out how we're getting to the port yet... wasn't there a bus being talked of?? Once I get this Dream Inaugural cruise done, then I'll concentrate on this one... :woohoo:
Anyone else flying in on the 23rd?

We fly into LAX on the morning of the 22nd and we are staying at the Grand California Villas (DVC). We haven't started making plans to get from LAX to disneyLand, but we will probably use one of the shuttle services, too. We have DCL transfers from GC Villas to the port.

We are flyinginto LAX on the 23rd (arriving late morning), staying at Parkvue Inn. We're looking at Super Shuttle, Karmel (?), and maybe another (my notes are at home) to get from LAX to DL area.

We are still interested in a DIS bus to the port if that happens, otherwise, I've have to look at shuttle prices for that too.

We're flying in late on 4/22 and staying at the Disneyland Hotel. We're taking SuperShuttle from LAX since we get in so late. We're taking the DCL transfer to the port. I never heard anything on the bus, so we just decided to go with DCL and make it easy on ourselves.

Anyone going to Disneyland know what options there will be for Easter? I have a 5 year old that the Easter Bunny will be following!

We too are flying in on the 22nd (late morning) and I *think* we are going to look into the Disneyland Express bus from LAX - got the information from the Disneyland section of the Dis...we too are staying at the Disneyland Hotel and taking the DCL shuttle to the port. As for Easter....there is supposedly an Easter Sunday brunch at the ballroom at the Disneyland Hotel.

Like Leslie (DisneyPinDiva) we will begi to focus on this trip once we get back from the maiden voygage of the Dream.

We are flying in on the 23 to Orange county from philly. We are staying at Park Vue inn. We are renting a car from Orange county to park vue in. It was $37 for 1 day rental.

I am attempting to take over where MJGirl left off for the bus transportation from DL to port. I hope to have all worked through by next week. When I get to the final details I will post a message to all those who have express interest in this transportation option. There are 56 seats on the bus and I have a total of 41 who have shown interest. :)

i want to join the FE. when is the cut off date?

Make sure you can put luggage on the bus and not only in the luggage area. I have been on 2 dis bus (this time 3). The first was LA. They only left a few seats free and they were over flow with luggage. People had to stand the way to the port. The other was in Barcelona. The bus company would not let us take large suitcase in the bus. The luggage area was fill with 20 people luggage. The bus then made 2 trip to the port. Hopefully the third time is the charm.

Not at all!

Could you send a PM and provide the names of your party, cabin number, where you are from, dining time (main or late). Ken will get you on the lanyard list and I'll get you on the main roster :goodvibes

I can't do a PM (not enough Posts) so here we go
Dennis, Theresa, Natalie -- 5512 and we are doing late dinner. We live west of Fort Worth and its to cold here 33 right now. Need to move south.
Posted to Ken the names also so thanks to all looking forward the Trip. Last cruise we got stuck at Castaway Cay over night due to the weather. What a blast it was.

We are at 96 days. Only 6 more days until the Silver CC members get to stay up to book shore excursions. When I just checked there are still Palo dinner reservations available. No brunch of course most of us gold members did not get brunch either.:cool1:
Sue

We have canceled going on this cruise. Wishing everyone a great time.

Well...RATS! Was looking forward to cruising with you and Mrs. Woody again.

AND...who will lead up to the Japadog stand in Vancouver! :lmao:

Jackie when are you getting to LA?

If you mean for my cruise this weekend: ;)

My bags are packed and just waiting for Peg to pick me up. Our flight is at 6:05PM and we arrive 6:20PM (love the time change).

Nan is checking into the Queen Mary right now and will be working till we get there...then the festivities begin!

If you mean for THIS cruise:

Just plan on getting in the night before and probably staying at the Crown Plaza...unless we fall in love with the Queen Mary and want to stay on her again. I'm staying an extra day at the Vancouver end (after Alaska) to take a look around.
