04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

I am attempting to take over where MJGirl left off for the bus transportation from DL to port. I hope to have all worked through by next week. When I get to the final details I will post a message to all those who have express interest in this transportation option. There are 56 seats on the bus and I have a total of 41 who have shown interest. :)

Did I express interest? :confused3 If not, then I will now... :rotfl:
I probably should never have more than one cruise in the line up at a time... I can't remember what i did for which cruise! Let alone trying to keep track of all the threads!!

Was going to resort to DCL transportation, but they always get there so LATE and I want to get there early so I can eat all the shrimp... :lmao:

If you mean for my cruise this weekend: ;)

My bags are packed and just waiting for Peg to pick me up. Our flight is at 6:05PM and we arrive 6:20PM (love the time change).

Nan is checking into the Queen Mary right now and will be working till we get there...then the festivities begin!

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Hope you guys have an awesome long weekend :dance3:

Good morning!

Gads this thread is long...I have a lot of reading to do, don't I??

OK - I am a B2B2B cruiser this is the middle cruise...can I please be included on the lanyard and FE lists?

this cruise and the first Alaska I am sailing with my buddy Michael (non-dis member) we are gty without a specific cabin yet. Both are platinum members.

I will be working my way through this thread and the first alaska as well as the other alaska cruise thread.

I am looking forward to the cruises....I will be at DLR for a couple of days before leaving on the 10 day mexican cruise.

Anyone doing that one as well?

Cayla

You were not on the list so I have added you. How many seats do you need? Hope to have everything wrapped up next week and I will send those of you who have interest a message with all the details (cost and pickup time, location, etc.).
:goodvibes

Wow! :scared1: I had Leslie + Joe and Georgie (me) and Joe on the original list! If we are not all there, could you please add us too? Thanks again for doing this.

Thanks!
Georgie

Hi, I sent you a PM, but in case you did not get it, we are interested in the bus transportation to the port from DL. I think that I had sent an earlier message to the original planner, but I am not sure if we are on the list or not. We are 3 adults and 4 kids. Just let me know. Thanks!

I can't do a PM (not enough Posts) so here we go
Dennis, Theresa, Natalie -- 5512 and we are doing late dinner. We live west of Fort Worth and its to cold here 33 right now. Need to move south.
Posted to Ken the names also so thanks to all looking forward the Trip. Last cruise we got stuck at Castaway Cay over night due to the weather. What a blast it was.

Hey....:welcome: aboard!!!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

I can't find the days that we will have formal nights and pirate night. Please...help! Thanks

I can't find the days that we will have formal nights and pirate night. Please...help! Thanks

Here is the info that my TA got from DCL:

Repo –
Night 1 = cruise casual
Night 2 = formal
Night 3 = cruise casual
Night 4 = pirate
Night 5 = semi-formal
Night 6 = cruise casual

Alaska –
Cruise Casual – Evenings 1, 3, 4, 5, & 7
Semi-Formal – Evening 6
Formal– Evening 2

The Alaska cruise isn’t specifically noting a pirate night at this time but I was told that may change. Most likely Pirate Night would then be either night 3 or 5.

fanmanwdw,
How old is Natalie (4 or 14 or 24?) and do you want to be on the FE exchange for the Repo cruise list?

I have sent private message to those who I know who have expressed interest in bus transportation to port. If you would like to be add please contact me. :)

We are arranging for deluxe motorcoach transportation to transport us (and luggage) to the San Pedro cruise port, on the morning of April 27th. The motorcoach will make ONE stop at a Disneyland hotel (to be determined at a later date, based upon our needs, etc). There is a CHANCE the motorcoach can make an additional stop at one other resort, but this may not be convenient (it will take longer, and cause delays), and there will likely be a $100 charge for the extra stop. Since most of us will be going to Disneyland prior to the cruise, we are likely all staying AT, or very close to Disneyland. Therefore, the thinking is that if we are able to walk to Disneyland, we should be able to get to the bus without issue.

Most of us are seasoned Disney cruisers, and most seem to want to get to the cruise terminal early ... in order to get early boarding. Of course, the later we leave Disneyland, the later we arrive at the cruise terminal. The later we arrive at the terminal, the higher our boarding number, which equates to less time to enjoy the ship. Accordingly, we are tentatively estimating boarding to begin 7:30AM to 7:45AM, with departure at 8:15AM (from the designated Disneyland hotel). In order to board upwards of 50+ guests and their voluminous luggage, we would like to request that those taking the bus be in the designated meeting location (ie: designated hotel lobby), COMPLETE WITH ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR PARTY, AS WELL AS ALL OF YOUR LUGGAGE by 7:15AM to 7:30AM. If 56 people show up at 7:45AM or 8:15AM ... we will NOT be able to leave on time.

I will place a deposit for the bus using my own funds. A reservation deadline of March 30th is being imposed. Please do not wait until March 30th to make your reservation, as there is a chance the bus will fill up in advance of the deadline. Based upon the number of guests who have expressed interest so far, I am estimating a cost of $15 PER PERSON (including children of all ages). If you are agreeable to the estimated time frame for bus departure at one of the Disneyland hotels, you can reserve seats in one of two ways:

1) Send $16 PER SEAT via PayPal to (send PM to me for my PayPal email address, which IS different than my main email address). PayPal will charge me 3% to 4%, plus an additional 30 cents per transaction ... hence, the $16 vs $15 per seat, or,

2) Send $15 per seat via personal check to Donna Long (private message me for a mailing address), for receipt on or before March 23rd.

Regardless of payment method, PLEASE INCLUDE:
a) The number of people in your party
b) The name of MAIN CONTACT person in your party along with Disboard ID
c) Current telephone number for MAIN CONTACT person (indicate day or night time contact)
d) Email address for MAIN CONTACT person
e) The name of EACH person in your party
f) The name of your California hotel (Grand Californian, Paradise Pier, Marriott, etc)
g) A cell phone number (to call on the morning of April 27th, in case of issues with the bus location).

Your seat will NOT be reserved until payment, and the aforementioned requested information has been received (and funds cleared). If you make payment via PayPal eCheck, your payment can take 2 weeks to clear ... so it is best to use PayPal credit, PayPal debit, PayPal cash, or send personal check.

If, after processing all payments, we find there to be excessive funds, we can process a prorated refund to those who pay via PayPal ... upon conclusion of the Inaugural Alaskan cruise.

Thank you,
Steven and Donna Long

Ok, who is staying up late tonight hoping to book? I have my wish list, but I'm pretty flexible. Just hope there is a Palo dinner for my mom's birthday on May 1!

Thanks for checking, Sue! I don't mind no tea or brunch. I'd rather do Alice or Wendy tea with my daughter, anyway! Actually, I'm going to have to do some convincing to get my parents to have an adults-only birthday dinner. My daughter, however, will absolutely love the idea of being in the kids club and not sitting at the table with us.

We are flyinginto LAX on the 23rd (arriving late morning), staying at Parkvue Inn. We're looking at Super Shuttle, Karmel (?), and maybe another (my notes are at home) to get from LAX to DL area.

We are still interested in a DIS bus to the port if that happens, otherwise, I've have to look at shuttle prices for that too.
We're arriving 22nd midafternoon and staying at Park Vue Inn as well! :) (myself and kids arriving on 22nd. DH is arriving late evening 25th)

I would love to add you to the lanyard and name badge list, but in order to do that, I need the first names of everyone in your group.

Ken
Am I on the lanyard list? i think so- but checking to make sure!

I haven't received a pm, I think I expressed interest but maybe I'm not on the list. If so, that's fine because we already booked a limo anyway. We figured the cost would be around $15-20 pp and was able to book a limo for $125 so for our family of 5 that's not much more for private transportation. Just want to make sure we're not on the list- probably not since we didn't get the pm. Probably for the best anyway that way we don't have to leave as early and get ourselves and luggage over to disneyland hotel. Totally understand why it needs to be that way though- to bring costs down. :)

As for booking tonight- what exactly can we book tonight as far as excursions? I'd only looked at excursions for alaska cruise. I guess I better get on the ball and see what there is to book for this cruise. LOL

It has been a while since I've posted on the DIS - but I am back from the 2 day Cruise to NoWhere and had a great time... (bday celebration for me) so I am happy to announce I will be joining this cruise as well! I look forward to getting to know you in the next upcoming weeks!:cloud9:

Me! DH & I do not care to do Palo this cruise, but there are a couple of shore excursions we really want! Midnight for me too!
