04/10/2011 Mexican Riviera Cruise

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have not really done much in the way of excursions (with a youngster, we are limited in what we could do) but in Cabo we went to one of the resorts and hung out by the pool, went for a walk on the beach and had a few drinks (the cool thing was we didn't have to pay for an excursion since we got the low down on where to go from a cruise ship concierge!)

As for booking stuff, I was told by my travel agent that as of midnight East coast time tonight, we can start booking!

Does anyone know when I can log in and make my reservations? My official day is tomorrow, but can I log in at midnight tonight and do it???? :confused3

TIA for any help.

Yes, you can log on at midnight EST and start booking stuff. I tried this a few days ago when it was my turn to book and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did NOT have to wait until midnight in my timezone (I'm in MST). :cool1:

I was looking this afternoon and it doesn't look like there are any excursions available yet for the new Cabo day (Day 5), but I'm assuming they'll fix that soon.

Hi there, I am new to the group and new to Disney Cruise Line, but we are booked on the April 10th sailing and very excited about our upcoming trip! Happy to know there are others out there getting excited for the cruise too! Although this is our first Disney cruise, we have been to the Mexican Riviera twice on other cruise lines (NCL and Royal). Cruising with me are my hubby and 4 y.o. daughter (I bet there was a propper Disney way to say it... sorry!) I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to seeing you all on board the Wonder!:)

Welcome!! Looking forward to meeting you as well and I'm sure you and your family will have a WONDERful time!

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I checked the boards! I can book in just over an hour. Thank you both!!!

Found this post while searching for which night is pirate night - thought I'd share -

Hi,
Night 2 is Formal night
Pirate night is the 4th night
Semiformal is the 6th

Does anyone know if this has changed due to the port changes? :confused3 I'm guessing not since our sea/port days haven't changed any.

All the info I've seen on the other threads makes it sound like theme night plans are unchanged, so I'm hoping that's true! I really don't want to change around my Palo ressies :)

Good luck with your reservations this evening. Hope you get everything you want!

Well, I logged in and got the days/times I wanted for PALO dinner and brunch. Then I booked a spa treatment. Then I decided I wanted to change the time of the treatment, so I clicked a link that said something like "change this reservation." When the page refreshed ALL my reservations were gone. :sad1: I clicked around a few different links and all my reservations were still gone. I went back to the PALO link and then the site kicked me out. :headache::headache::headache:

I've logged in and out a bunch of times and it's not working. I'm getting an error that someone else is making changes to my reservation, but I asked DF and he's not logged in, so the error message is wrong.

My PALO ressies better still be there, it's the only thing I cared about!!! Although there seemed to be plenty of times available.

Didn't even get a chance to look at excursions, UGH!! :headache:

I got my Palo reservations! It was not as difficult as I thought it might be, but I still wasn't sure what to book when.
Now I am anxious to hear about trip reports from the people that are on the Wonder now... curious to hear what suggestions, tips and words of wisdom they have for those of us waiting to take our MR trips! If anyone sees anything of interest let me know!
Good luck to all on making reservations!

My travel agent said to make sure you confirm each reservation before you move on to the next thing you want to reserve... so maybe give that a try to lock in what you can as you go.

Hmm, that's not good. Wonder what happened? :confused3
You've probably already done this, but just make sure you've completely closed out of all your browser windows before trying again so the system doesn't get confused. Once you're back in, get to your "My Cruise Plans" page and make sure that all the things you booked say "Confirmed" next to them for each day. If they say "Unconfirmed" in red, you need to click on the "Save Itinerary" button at the bottom of the page to confirm all the things you booked. Oh, and make sure to click on that "Save Itinerary" button before you go back in and make any changes, just to be on the safe side!

Were you able to book because we're in So Cal too and we had to wait til midnight! Hope you got/get everything you wanted!! :goodvibes

Oops, just saw that you did! Wonder why we had to wait? I tried logging in at 9 and then about every 10 minutes after that at our window and it wouldn't let me in til midnight! Anyhow, I hope you didn't loose your Palo ressies!!

Ok, after a mild heart attack and an hour of refreshing, I was able to log in and get my PALO reservations, both dinner and brunch at the times I wanted. Yes, I didn't click confirm, DURRRRR. :headache:

So I chose PALO on Night 4 which hopefully is still pirate night because we don't care too much for pirates. And I got brunch for the last sea day. :cloud9:

I also got Exotic Rasul as a surprise for DF. :littleangel: That is booked on Day 3 (second sea day).

I booked Las Caletas for PV even though I'm not sure we'll keep it due to the hefty price tag. I was going to choose horseback riding for Cabo but the excursion left at 6:45am!! :scared1: DF said he's not waking up that early on vacation and I tend to agree. So we have nothing booked for Cabo at the moment. We hope to find some cheaper non-Disney horseback riding and snorkling for Cabo.

Glad everyone got their Palo ressies and excursions booked! :thumbsup2

Now I just need someone from this week's cruise to upload their daily navigators so I can start poring over them and REALLY daydreaming about being on the ship :)

Is anyone doing a countdown at home? With 30 days left, we put our Mickey ears numbered from 30 to 1 on the fridge... the kids take turns removing one ear at a time, they love it! :cool1: This picture is from our 2008 Bahamas cruise. :yay:

Wow, such a cute idea! I think it would look silly for two grown adults in their 30s to make Mickey countdown magnets, but I'm tempted.

Is anyone doing a countdown at home?

Oh cute idea! Since the kids aren't going with us this time, we're keeping it pretty low key, but I do remind my hubby every night how many days are left. He keeps reminding me that we have to get through my son's birthday, Cub Scouts pinewood derby, 2 business trips (one for me, one for him), a possible weekend trip to Disneyland and who knows what else before we go, so I shouldn't get TOO excited. Geez, such a party pooper! :lmao:

For our previous cruise we started marking off the days on my son's calendar starting at about the 45 day mark I think. We also wrote down a list of questions/things he was excited about and spent a couple minutes each night looking up the answer on the computer for the last week or so before the cruise. He was a little nervous, so this helped make him a little more comfortable with what was going to happen.

Heck yes! We are bringing a box of wine, a bottle of champagne and bottle of Captain, and maybe DF will bring something too, hahahaha :lmao:
