we got distracted when we saw that the Liberty Bell was still running. It was something on our Disney Bucket list and we decided to go ahead and do it. It was a fun little ride though can’t say I’d be inclined to make it a must do on every trip.

Never been on it, but that's kind of what I thought it might be like.

It wasn’t too long before we were sailing with the pirates.

Two sailings back to back.
Lucky you guys didn't get sea sick!

20150514_185654_zpscb33dz0r.jpg

You married him because he's swashbuckling, right?

As much as we were enjoying ourselves in the park, I was sunburnt with multiple huge blisters getting worse on my feet

Ouch!

and we were hot, tired, and needed to pack for our dreaded departure day in the morning.:sad::sad:

Talk about adding insult to injury!

On our way out we stopped at a few popcorn carts to ask about the Cinderella Carriage Popcorn buckets. (No one had any. We should have started the search at the beginning of the trip.:sad2: Anybody know if we'll have luck in March? )

Never even heard of that!

We also stopped to get Little Miss a balloon since she had been admiring them the whole trip.

Whoa. Very nice of you to spend the $384 for a balloon.

We also made a stop in the Confectionary to look around and pick up a thing or two.

That place is a magnet!
I don't know if it's possible to leave without popping in there... and getting something.

<whimper> I want!

Of course you can’t go in without trying on at least a few hats right?

::yes::

I did my best to try not to cry. (Pretty sure I teared up anyways.)

Awww...

Awww!!!!

Unfortunately after we ordered we were told that Yeehaw Bob was on vacation so it would be someone else playing.

Too bad.
We stayed there about 10 years ago and never got to see him.

He turned out good.

Well, that's good at least.

Why is the sky blue? (Highest points awarded to most creative answer)

Erk. I'm falling behind and keep missing out on point opportunities!

I could launch into a hopelessly complicated and irreverent and possibly irrelevant reason... but I'm going to just keep it simple.
Why is the sky blue?

Because that's the way Walt wanted it.

Sounds like you had a very nice last evening at MK. I love the pictures of Little Miss on Main Street with the balloon, she looks so happy:goodvibes. That a bummer about Yee Haw Bob, its nice they had someone there while he was gone though. Good tip about the lounge and bringing food in:thumbsup2.

Hi! I followed over from Jamie's TR. I'm late to the party, but this was such a fun trip to follow along. Psyched to see how it ended!

And your DD is sooo cute! She has such gorgeous eyes!

Wow, I sure missed a lot of updates (and points) while in Hawaii! I enjoyed catching up tonight, though.

I took Little Miss for a potty break and it was in the stall that one of my absolute FAVORITE moments of the trip happened. We had just finished lunch in Beasts Castle and Little Miss just looked up at me from the potty with the sweetest look of gratitude on her face and said, “Dreams come true Momma, Dreams Come True!”

It was such a sweet and honest moment that I was very teary when we walked out and I had to immediately explain the whole thing to DH. That moment made EVERY bit of work and planning for the trip worth it. It was just a moment of utter elation and dreams fulfilled and I couldn’t have topped it if I tried.
That is super sweet! It reminds me of our first Hawaii trip (when Izzy was 2) - it was the first time Izzy said, "I'm happy!" :goodvibes

And, hey, if you're going to come out of the bathroom with a toddler in tears, that's about the best reason I can think of. :rotfl:

Love the sweet family picture! :thumbsup2

So what were our thoughts? We just simply loved it! Little Miss’s face just lighted up with every character that passed. The floats were well done. The only thing that I feel is a down side to it is that I don’t feel they transitioned the songs very well at all and the between float stuff just comes off as somewhat chaotic. But overall we thought it was a great use of a FP and wouldn’t hesitate to use one for the FP spot again. We would just remember to touch up the sunscreen and bring an umbrella to shade us with. Also a towel to put on the ground so that we could sit without burning ourselves wouldn’t be remise.
I agree about the parade. It's so photogenic and really candy for the senses. But we did the super-scalding FP+ area too. The ground was burning and I searched our belongings for something to sit on. The winner was our diaper changing pad! I have never been so happy to see that thing - it saved me from sidewalk burns!

We of coarse had to get a Sweet Cream Cheese Filled Pretzel to share. These babies are GOOD!
Yum, love those!

:lmao: That cracked me up! Those things are huge!

Unfortunately after we ordered we were told that Yeehaw Bob was on vacation so it would be someone else playing. He turned out good. We ordered up almost one of everything on small heavy appetizer menu and had a pleasant evening. My favorite of what we ordered and ended up ordering a second of was the Pimento cheese fritters. Mmmmmm I really need to find a place near me that can make them. They are soooooo good!!! * Pro tip we discovered…. They are completely fine with you bringing food from the food court into the lounge to eat. We ended up doing that for Little Miss.
Sounds like a great experience in the lounge. Seeing Yeehaw Bob is on our WDW bucket list, but just hasn't worked out yet. The food looks tasty too.

Why is the sky blue? (Highest points awarded to most creative answer)
Because it's sad you're leaving Disney World. :sad1:

Favorite outfits... Of course princess dresses! Then Elsa/blue skirt, pokidotted mickey dress with Leggings,, star wars shirt, doc mcstuffins dress, jessie/Jean shorts.

From my DH when she was little... "mommy, Is the sky blue because it is God's bath water and the clouds are the bubbles?"

our dinner outfits and struck out for the Hoop De Doo Revue.

Here are six of my favorites! I had two more but somehow deleted them, so I will add the last two in my next reply.

I just loved all the cute bows you made. I am a huge fan of Minnie so those outfits were my favorites of course. I loved the cute Josie outfit and the AK outfit. The shorts and bows really made that outfit.

We of coarse had to get a Sweet Cream Cheese Filled Pretzel to share. These babies are GOOD! We will defiantly get this in the future.

I just loved the black and red outfit! It just was so adorable!

I also really loved this Frozen outfit. The cute blue swirly skirt is just so sweet!

I loved the interaction of the three of you dancing! So, so cute and what wonderful photos to share with her when she is bigger! I love that you all joined in!

The photos of her and the sweet little boy dancing are adorable too. I love that she just made a new friend. I couldnt help notice that he had on an Olaf shirt to go with her Elsa one!

Too bad you missed Yee Haw Bob. We saw him a few years ago and very enjoyed it.

Why is the sky blue? Hmmm......because WDW is the happiest place on earth!

(No one had any. We should have started the search at the beginning of the trip.:sad2: Anybody know if we'll have luck in March? )
I doubt it... I didn't see them this trip. They had Star Wars ones in DHS... We wanted to get one on the way out on our last day to take home to DS, but we were in MK and they only had some generic white buckets with pictures characters on them... it wasn't what I was looking for so I didn't really pay attention to the detail on them though. But I did not see any Cinderella buckets.

We also stopped to get Little Miss a balloon since she had been admiring them the whole trip.
I'm glad she got her balloon. And it made for some nice pictures on main street.

Unfortunately after we ordered we were told that Yeehaw Bob was on vacation so it would be someone else playing. He turned out good. We ordered up almost one of everything on small heavy appetizer menu and had a pleasant evening
Sorry you missed him. But at least you got to have a nice evening at the resort!

Why is the sky blue? (Highest points awarded to most creative answer)
Because a purple sky would just look really weird.

Im loving your TR!!! I got teary eyed when your daughter went to BOG!
:thanks::thumbsup2

Never been on it, but that's kind of what I thought it might be like.
Neat to go on it once, but I'm good now.

Two sailings back to back.
Lucky you guys didn't get sea sick!
:rolleyes2:rotfl2:

You married him because he's swashbuckling, right?
::yes:: Among other things...

I blame the hot pavement while waiting for the parade. They tripled in size just from standing there.

Talk about adding insult to injury!
::yes:::sad1:

Never even heard of that!
They released them last year in promotion of the live action cinderella movie and then still had them out because they were so popular.

Whoa. Very nice of you to spend the $384 for a balloon.
hey it lasted for like 2 months! At least we got our money's worth out if it.

That place is a magnet!
I don't know if it's possible to leave without popping in there... and getting something.
That's actually the first time I remember going in there.

<whimper> I want!
:rotfl2:

::yes:::sad:

Too bad.
We stayed there about 10 years ago and never got to see him.
This was the 2nd trip we stayed at POR and we have still yet to see him.

Erk. I'm falling behind and keep missing out on point opportunities!

I could launch into a hopelessly complicated and irreverent and possibly irrelevant reason... but I'm going to just keep it simple.

She was ecstatic about that balloon. And we were thrilled when those photopass pics turned out so well. Heck I think I would bring food from the qs area into the lounge even if someone wasn't playing its a much more pleasant environment to eat.

Hi! I followed over from Jamie's TR.
:wave2::welcome:

I'm late to the party, but this was such a fun trip to follow along. Psyched to see how it ended!
Thanks for reading! I'm glad you've enjoyed it.

And your DD is sooo cute! She has such gorgeous eyes!
:thanks:

Wow, I sure missed a lot of updates (and points) while in Hawaii! I enjoyed catching up tonight, though.
:rotfl: I'm trying to get finished up so I can start on the PTR for March. I didn't mean to leave you in the dust! :rotfl: Hope you had a great trip though.

That is super sweet! It reminds me of our first Hawaii trip (when Izzy was 2) - it was the first time Izzy said, "I'm happy!" :goodvibes

And, hey, if you're going to come out of the bathroom with a toddler in tears, that's about the best reason I can think of. :rotfl:

Oh thats genius! I'll have to remember that trick! Makes me wonder if I should bring a changing pad or two with us just incase...:scratchin

Yum, love those!
:thumbsup2

:lmao: That cracked me up! Those things are huge!
::yes:: We didn't actually get one but I couldn't help getting a picture! They really are gigantic. It almost makes me wonder if they are really good or not.

Sounds like a great experience in the lounge. Seeing Yeehaw Bob is on our WDW bucket list, but just hasn't worked out yet. The food looks tasty too.
The food was pretty good, LOVE the paminto cheese fritters. I have GOT to figure out how to make those! Mmmmmmmmmm

Because it's sad you're leaving Disney World. :sad1:
:rolleyes1

Favorite outfits... Of course princess dresses! Then Elsa/blue skirt, pokidotted mickey dress with Leggings,, star wars shirt, doc mcstuffins dress, jessie/Jean shorts.
I'm noticing a pattern It seems there were definite favorites from the trip.

From my DH when she was little... "mommy, Is the sky blue because it is God's bath water and the clouds are the bubbles?"

I just loved all the cute bows you made.
I'm thrilled I get another trip out of the bows I've made.

I am a huge fan of Minnie so those outfits were my favorites of course.
Minnie and Mickey will be well represented in the outfits picked for March. :thumbsup2:rotfl:

I loved the cute Josie outfit and the AK outfit. The shorts and bows really made that outfit.
The AK outfit has become the go too outfit for her when we go to the zoo. :rotfl:

I just loved the black and red outfit! It just was so adorable!
I'm thrilled that this dress I got from ETsy still fits. Up until last week I was sure it wouldn't

I also really loved this Frozen outfit. The cute blue swirly skirt is just so sweet!
Unfortunately the blue skirt has become too short for her.

I loved the interaction of the three of you dancing! So, so cute and what wonderful photos to share with her when she is bigger! I love that you all joined in!
I do to. that Photopass photog was great! We didn't even know she was taking them at first. SHe just snapped away and then approached us to have us scan our bands.

The photos of her and the sweet little boy dancing are adorable too. I love that she just made a new friend. I couldn't help notice that he had on an Olaf shirt to go with her Elsa one!
Ha! We hadn't noticed the Olaf shirt he was wearing! How funny!

Too bad you missed Yee Haw Bob. We saw him a few years ago and very enjoyed it.
We'll catch him eventually I'm sure!

Why is the sky blue? Hmmm......because WDW is the happiest place on earth!
:thumbsup2

But I did not see any Cinderella buckets.
:sad1: Boo! I was afraid that might be the case! I might still ask though.

I'm glad she got her balloon. And it made for some nice pictures on main street.
It really did! And I couldn't believe how long that stinker lasted! It lasted a good 2 months!

Sorry you missed him. But at least you got to have a nice evening at the resort!
::yes::

Because a purple sky would just look really weird.

Packing up (5/15/15 Part 1)

We woke up this morning to the dreaded day…. DEPATURE DAY!!!

giphy.gif

We ate breakfast in room and got everything packed and called down to Bell Services to have a bellman come help us with our luggage. While we waited I was sure to get pictures of every detail of the room that I could.

Little Miss and I followed DH and the Bellman out and DH went to go pack the car before we had a few last adventures for our day.

Exiting MK is also so hard... how can one not cry - it's just impossible! Love the pic of you with the Mickey Rice Krispie treat :hyper:

On this Episode of things you find when you move Disney Addition...... (Try not to laugh too hard:rolleyes2:rotfl2::rotfl:) {I'm the last Piccolo before the drumline on the end with the long curly awkward hair...} This also explains why I was so confused at the lack of shaded seating in front of the castle when DH and I went in 2013. Notice those big trees and the benches underneath!

aw, always sad when you get to the end of a trip ... and it is funny how that first time you enter MK with your entire trip to come seems like the end is way off and then the next thing you know you are leaving for the last time.

I must say that my first reaction to you "sad" face was "that is a great picture!" ... then I thought "well, that is kind of a mean thing to think" :rotfl2:

I love the pictures of Little Miss with the balloon on Main St.!

Those princess rooms are pretty nice. We actually had one of those booked for our last trip before deciding to switch to the Contemporary.

That's pretty neat you had the same bellman

I'd take a Contemporary Room over a royal one any day!

That's pretty neat you had the same bellman
I thought it was neat that HE was the one that remembered us and was actively curious how the trip had gone.

Oh wow... cool pictures! What year was this? It looks so much different now!
From best that I can calculate I THINK it was Spring Break 2003.

hey it lasted for like 2 months! At least we got our money's worth out if it.

We bought two for our DDs, but gave them to another family when we left.
