ºoº "Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2005 F.A.Q. & Information,let's share our info.

Liltoot, something to think about for the 5 PM CP is that it is not totally dark at that time. You'll miss some of the full effect of the candlelight part if you go to the earliest performance. We've done the 6:45 show and had plenty of time to make an 8 PM dinner at the Rose & Crown.

Hmmm, looks like we could see Jim Caviezel our first night of the trip- Dh and I would absolutely love that, and it sounds like the CP is a great way to kick off the "festivities," but has anyone braved the CP with a rather active 2.5 year old ds? I am not sure how he will sit through the whole show- are there aisle seats that one of us could take him out if he gets cranky?

Also, if we get the dinner package, would we have to buy one for him? Once we get to the restaurant, how would we pay for him?

Thanks everyone!

Lisa

We have a 7:30am flight to Orlando and we're seeing a 6:45 CP that night.... with dinner beforehand. Our DS will be almost 2 then and we're just going to try to get an aisle seat..... although with the music, I'm hoping he'll be fine. As for dinner, you don't pay for kids under 3.

Haley Joel Osment is the only one on the list my kids have heard of, but he is coming too early for us. It will be Gary Sinese for us, dh is very happy. I am sorry to see LeVar Burton is not on the list.

Can you get the CP dinner package for just 1 person in your party and have the other people just the dining plan? My DH says he doesn't want to go-I want to go but don't ant to stand line forever either. We are planning on seeing HJO on Dec 1. How long do think the standby line will be for just one person that early in the season? I would rather do the dining package but would need it just for me as DH would take the kids with him and they would need to eat also. I wonder how hard it would be to book one for the CP package and the others under the dining plan??
TIA
Tina

Hmmm, that's a pretty complicated scenario. You might want to ask Disney that one-- and you'll probably get many different responses. But call this week before the CP pkgs go on sale next Monday. Dec 1 is a Thu and also a MVMCP night, so maybe the standby line wont be too bad???

I'm interested to know if anyone else has had difficulty in getting an early seating for the CP dinner (say 4:00 or 4:30'ish) for the 8:15 showing in past years? Although I really wish we didn't have to eat so early, that's the only way I can see fitting in dinner, the tree lighting, CP, and IllumiNations all in one night. Does anyone else have other ideas? We'd likely eat at Alfredo's (did LC back in April, and even though I loved it, I think my group is looking for a change of pace).

We had also planned on going on 11/30, but are changing our plans to 12/1, to see Haley Joel instead of Phil Donahue. For those asking, I've seen Haley Joel on talk shows within the last year or so, and he is very well-spoken for his age. I bet he'll do a good job (and I am just NOT a fan of PD).

I think someone said you pay for the CP dinner pkg when you book it. Does anyone know what the cancellation policy is?

I think it's 24 or 48 hours before to get a full refund.

I'm just curious of something.

How do you suppose the extra magic hours will effect the CP?
Especially the night time extra magic hours.

I plan on calling for CP package tickets on August 15th. When I call I'll have to determine the exact date for us to see the CP. Hopefully the night I choose will be an extra magic hours night. We're going to try for the 14th or 15th of December to see Lou Diamond Phillips since I just realized that we have MVMCP tickets for the 13th. I can't believe I forgot about that!

What night (so far this year) has been an extra magic hour night at EPCOT?

Last I checked, the evening EMH at Epcot is Thursday. I would imagine that will make the park more crowded than usual. You may want to shoot for the 14th. Or you can change your MVMCP night too. I read that if you send the tickets back, they'll change to a different date (if available).

If my mom and I eat at Le Cellier at 5pm will they let us wait until 8:15 to see the show? How picky are they? TIA

 Sorry , I should have added this to the above post. What time does the reservation office open? Thanks again

Dec. 7-11. It is also my 29th :cake: on Dec. 8th. We are doing MVMCP that night. We plan on doing the CP on our day of arrival 12/7. We will actually get to browse around the World Showcase shops while sampling a few snacks from the different countries without kids saying "Come on, I'm bored!". Then we plan on having an early dinner at Le Cellier :cloud9: around 4:45 and then the CP at 6:45. This will allow us to also watch Illuminations at 9pm since with your CP dinner package you also get preferred viewing for the Illuminations show! :teeth: We will get to see Jesus do the Christmas Story! :earseek: (That would be Jim Caviezel from The Passion.) I soooo can't wait! 119 days to go

Can anyone confirm what time dinner ADRs begin for LeCellier? (on a Sunday, if that matters) I thought I read 4:00.

Just to clarify, I don't think you get any sort of preferred viewing by being a CP package holder for IllumiNations. By doing the 6:45 p.m. CP showing, you'll have that much more time to stake out a spot for the 9:30 showing of IllumiNations, but I'm pretty certain the "preferred viewing" is up once you've seen the CP. It's back to the masses after that!

Someone else correct me if I'm wrong! :goodvibes

I think you're correct, but we should check with Ray. If anyone can answer that, I'll bet Ray can!! We haven't heard from Ray for awhile. Ray - where are you?!!
