Booked last night

Date:11/26
LeCellier party of 6 5:30 pm
Rita Morena Narrator 8:15 pm

I was told that gratuity is NOT included. Anyone else told this?

Booked yesterday.

12/9/05
CP 6:45pm
Narrator Jim Caviezel
Chef de France 8:10pm

I will probably book for Eartha Kitt on 12/12. Just need to decide where we want to eat.

I have stood in line and have been able to get seats for both 6:45 and 8:15pm shows in the past. Usually get in line at least 45 minutes ahead of time and get seats in the back.

We are attending the same show (12/9), with Rose and Crown at 8pm. Looking forward to it.

Gratuity *IS* included. :goodvibes If you buy any extras ( :drinking1 ) you will be charged and should "tip" based on the extra charges - but you've already paid your meal gratuity. Enjoy!!

I was told the total included tax but did NOT include Gratuity. I made sure I asked again because I was writing it down and he said taxes yes Gratuity no.

I think you'll find that it's just the opposite. The gratuity is included but the tax isn't.

If you go to the Disney web site it shows at the top that tax is not included at the bottom of the page in the fine print it says gratuity is included. hope that helps. :flower:

Here is from WDW website.

‡ Packages contain dinner vouchers that must be presented at the restaurant prior to seating. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to obtain packages at Candlelight Dinner Package Pick Up at the Main Entrance. Candlelight Dinner Packages not available on December 4, 2005 for the 5:00 p.m. show. Dinner packages do not include lobster entrées. Dinner packages do not include Park admission. Gratuity is included. Non-alcoholic beverage is included.
† If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

The final total they give you includes the tax.

Well, the Disney website says that gratuity is included and the 3 tier prices do not include taxes BUT the total they charge on your credit card does...I paid $125 and change for 2 adults and 2 children for tier 3...that includes taxes.

Here's the page where you can see it says gratuity IS included.

I remember two years ago, my server at Rose and Crown waved to me when he went by and I was nearly finished with dessert-"You're all set! Thank you!" There was absolutely no additional charge with the package for tax or tip. Only additional charge would have been if I'd gotten an adult beverage (my gingerale was on the package).

Here is what I ordered and the total that the CM gave me
Alfredo's 2 adult $45.99 ea
$91.98 + 6.5% tax $5.98 = $97.96
That is what I was quoted as my total
I don't what to start and arguement that is not my style I am just telling you what the CM said.

now if the $45.99 includes the gratuity that is a different story. But you should not be paying taxes on gratuity. Hmm that is something different to think about.

Wouldn't it be similar to the Fantasmic dinner pkg-lets say you had BD @39.39 (taxes in)-it includes the gratuity meaning the gratuity gets paid based on the amount on the total bill (have a look at the bottom of the bill). They ring up the individual items and calculate the gratuity 15% based on that amount-so let's say your bill came to $56 gratuity would be $8.40 (shown on bill) but your credit card was charged with the $39.39 when you originally booked your package. If you wish to leave more tip because you felt service was outstanding you could do so at the end of your meal as well.

They used to do the same thing on the Gold Plan-you would sign for the bill but would pay nothing when you dined-they just took "points" for your meal. Gratuity was included on that plan also. I loved that plan! Never worried about what things cost you just ate what you wanted to!

Yes, we booked the 22nd and figured we'd take our chances.......but getting curious.

We are going on 22nd as well. Where are you having dinner. We have 8 in our group and we have a 4:10 at La Cellier. I hope to do the tree lighting at 6:00 as well.

I was also incorrectly told when booking that the Gratuity was not included. However, it is very clear on the WDW website as well as the info. pages on http://www.allearsnet.com and http://www.wdwinfo.com that the gratuity is included.

Also, the dinner price quoted on the websites does not include tax, but the total you pay when booking does include the tax!

So, unless someone in your party orders an alcoholic drink, you have paid in full. :earsboy:

Just in case everyone on this thread is not as obsessive about reading all the threads on these boards as I am, the CP dining packages are now on the dining plan ,all restaurants are 1 ts except Coral reef which is 2 ts so you can call WDW dining for a credit if using the dining plan but they will keep a CC on file incase you don't show up or cancel within 48 hours.Hopefully this information will save some people a little money!!! :)

I just made a second reservation today for December 22 at 6:45 p.m., eating at 8 p.m. at Marrakesh. (My first reservation is for 12/21 at 5 p.m., eating at 7 p.m. at Coral Reef). I guess Morocco is not very Christmasy, but it looks interesting!

Keeping my fingers crossed for Gary Sinise on 12/22 or someone just as wonderful!

What?! Yipee! We're already eating that night anyway, now we can save some seats! :) Thanks for the info. I'll call tomorrow and see what's available that works with our schedule!

We are going to the 8:15 CP and have a 5:15 at Nine Dragons. We couldn't get LeCellier, so had to settle for our second choice, but we've eaten there before and it is excellent. We will do LeCellier on the 18th, hopefully, (the day we arrive) because after reading all the rave reviews, we definitely want to eat there this trip.

Yes, just got it -- the treasured Christmas Eve ressie for Le Cellier! :bounce:  :Pinkbounc As a bonus, we get to go to CP again this year. :cool1: I had pretty much decided we'd do the "listen from the American Pavilion terrace" since we already had the dining package. But - thanks to reading these boards - heard the dining plan was added and scored our seats. :cheer2:

Now if they'd just announce who the "replacement" narrator is ... Gary Sinise was really great last year, hope whoever will be there is as good. :confused3
