ºoº "Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2005 F.A.Q. & Information,let's share our info.

I just spent a long 35 minutes on the phone getting our CP dinner pkg ressie. There will be 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children), but the youngest will only be 4 mos. The CM insisted on making the ressie for two tables since there are 5, but the baby will be on my lap the entire time (he/she will not be able to sit up yet). She said we could be split up but would probably be put together because of the young children. :confused3 Did she make this too difficult? Because of this I also didn't get the time I wanted (4:00) but 4:10 is close enough. We want to see the tree lighting if we finish dinner in time.

I'm hoping if we check in early, I can explain to the host/hostess that we only need one table. What do you think?

Yes, just got it -- the treasured Christmas Eve ressie for Le Cellier! :bounce:  :Pinkbounc As a bonus, we get to go to CP again this year. :cool1: I had pretty much decided we'd do the "listen from the American Pavilion terrace" since we already had the dining package. But - thanks to reading these boards - heard the dining plan was added and scored our seats. :cheer2:

Now if they'd just announce who the "replacement" narrator is ... Gary Sinise was really great last year, hope whoever will be there is as good. :confused3

I just booked Christmas Eve for Le Cellier also. We are doing the 8:15 show with dinner around 4:50. I am bummed about Gary Sinise though. I hope they get somebody good to replace him!!

I posted a similar topic on the Dining board because I was having a hard time getting a good CP dinner pkg ADR time since we had a table of 5 (4 + 1 high chair). Both Disney and DISers said it was a safety issue, which I can understand. But in your case, since the infant is sitting on your lap, a table of 4 would work. In fact, one DISer said they've done this before.

I LOVE this board. Thanks for saving me $211! I had booked CP with ressies at Biergarten! Just called back to put it on my dining plan! I got a full refund!

THANK YOU!!!!

With the CP dinner package, do children also get an appetizer? At Le Cellier, my kids love the cheese soup. Just curious if this is included or if we will need to pay extra. Thanks!

The cheese soup isn't on the kids menu, according to Allears....
http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_lck.htm
But it wouldn't hurt to ask if they'll bring you one. I can't find it published on Disney's web site that you only get one appetizer, etc per person.

You have to pay extra. The kids must order from the kids menu, unless you choose to pay the adult price for them. You can always order the soup ala carte! :goodvibes

This is more to reassure rather than worry anyone:

After making my CP dinner pkg ressie at 7 a.m. on 8/15, I was so relieved to have gotten through right away; got what I wanted; I'm done! All set for December 19th!!!

So my phone rings and I see that it's "Walt Disney Tra" - that's all that fit on my caller ID! The lovely lady on the other end says they were "reviewing" packages and noticed that I was going to the CP show on 11/25 and eating on 12/19!!! :earseek: It wasn't a problem to get it straightened out - she did have to give me a new confirmation # but at least now I KNOW they got it right!! :rotfl:

It was actually a relief to know they look them over and if something doesn't look right, you'll probably get a phone call!! Just glad I didn't get down there on 12/19 to learn that I'd be having dinner but had missed the show! :goodvibes

So after hearing that the CP package could be used with the dining plan I called at 7am today.... but nothing I wanted was left! :(

We ended up booking a 5:15 dinner with the 8:00 show, which was SORT of close to my second choice of arrangements. What I really wanted was the 6:45 show and then dinner afterwards, any time, as long as we could still see Illuminations (not picky about seating). Well the EARLIEST dinner that evening (after the 6:45 show) was 8:20.... so no luck there.

Then I tried the 8:00 show with a 6:15ish dinner.... and the only dinner available was our 5:15 spot.

This is our only day in Epcot ( :( ) and my parents and sisters only time in the World, so basically we need to do EVERYTHING we want to do in the park before our dinner/CP/Illuminations portion of the evening begins.... which is why I wanted "that all" to start as late as possible.

Do you think we'll be ok? Do you think I should keep calling for cancellations, etc? And if so, how often do you all call?

Thanks so much!

5 pm show, followed by 7 pm dinner at Le Cellier on Dec 21! Group of 5: DH, DS (15), DD (13) and DM (my Dear Mom).

This will be my Mom's first trip to WDW in 29 years - the last time she was there we stayed in the Contemporary and Epcot was being built!

I'm trying to decide which restaurant to request when I call for reservations. :confused3 My DS (age 11) wants to try the Biergarten. To me Chefs de France sounds better. Though it may be a moot point by the time I call, LOL, I'd love to hear from others who have done either or both. THANKS!

Jessica

Just called (6:45pm), no wait and.... I got Le Cellier for Dec. 5 at 5:10 and CP at 8:15. That is what we wanted. We're also on the dining plan so I was happy to find out it is now included for the CP! I also ordered MVMCP tickets for Dec. 6. Now if I just get my ADR's at my 90 day mark

on 12/22. Tori wanted to go to Garden Grill since they've reverted back to the old menu (YAY!!) so I decided we should use that for our 2nd CP dinner. 5:20 pm Garden Grill and 8:15 pm CP with (oh, I can't wait to find out who!)

I just called to reserve the CP dinner package on December 2nd. I wanted LeCellier. I was told that they are only doing reservations for parties of 4 and up at LeCellier. Darn! I ended up doing Rose & Crown. I'm sure they can still sell out LeCellier with only larger parties. It takes up a table for four to do a party of two, but I really would have like to have gone there. LeCellier is my favorite restaurant there.
Hhhmmmm, Peg on 8/15 I booked us for 3 on Xmas Eve.....6:45 show and 8 pm dinner at LeCellier, just what we wanted :confused3 Maybe because it was 3 adults it was OK?

Well, it looks like another one of those situations where one CM has a totally different idea of what is happening than another. I'll call back and see what I can do.

Thanks!

I tried to get Le Cellier for two and the first person told me that they don't book parties for two. Then I saw on the boards that other people had gotten reservations for two. Soooo I called back and the second person told me that she didn't show that you couldn't book two but now there were none available. She only had reservations for four. Later went on the boards and read that someone had called and was told the same thing but they let them book for two with a table for four. I'm beginning to think that the mouse doesn't like me.

I gave up and will be eating at Italy. I love that place too but it seems that there is a lot of confusion with info on Le Cellier.

I think there are several of us who are in the same boat as you. The CP dinner package system isn't very flexible at all. We have a 4pm dinner with an 8:15 CP-- couldn't do 6:45 show because "the computer won't let me". Hmmm, then maybe I'll tie up my table from 4-8pm so your computer starts being a little more open-minded. :teeth:

I can't get a CP package for Le Cellier on Dec. 9th. I hope that this doesn't mean that it will be impossible to get ADR's at my 90 day mark. The CM told me that they only opened up a few tables for each seating of CP. I called back today and was told the same thing. I'll just keep trying back! :wave2:

My CM kind of alluded to that also. Hmmm, so much for first-come, first-serve. Why not fill the place if there are people willing to pay for it? I mean, someone who books a CP dinner pkg is less likely to cancel/change than someone who just makes a normal ADR. All of us CP dinner pkg people are planning our entire night around this event.

I am sure many people would disagree with this. I am planning my entire trip around which parks which days and where I want to dine. I would be very upset if I couldn't get a LeCellier ADR because I wasn't doing the CP package that night and they were all taken from CP ressies who were able to book before I ever had a chance at my 90 day window. I cannot afford or justify doing a CP package for more then one night but that doesn't mean I don't have as much right as anyone else to make an ADR at an Epcot restaurant.
