Suitcases --

Traveling to family reunion in July. Currently wearing most of what I will pack for WDW trip any way. Kids got suitcases for Christmas, I think these cases will not be big enough. Gotta find something cheap and durable. We are not members at a SAMs nor Costco.

Check Kohls. If you hit the sale right (and with Kohls cash) it can come out pretty cheap

I have a QOTD, providing it hasn't been asked yet in the posts I may have missed in these 39 pages -- ARE YOUR SUITCASES OUT YET??

It's still a bit early for us. I'll pull mine out about two weeks before. Knowing my dad he'll probably be calling me the night before asking what to pack

My DH and father have both already asked for a packing list! Boys...

Just reading about Frog Toggs......are they a must have? What are your experiences?

What kind of bag do you take in the parks and what do you pack in it each day (we have a preschooler and a toddler)?

What do you do with your stuff when you ride on rides?

Our daily bag will have diapers and wipes, snacks, waters, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for each kid (they're messy), plus Tylenol, band aids, and dremamine (I spelled that wrong, it's for my sister). DH will have all of our money and cards in his wallet with an index card that has reservation numbers on it. If the bag can't go on the ride and all of our party is riding (DH hates rides and my dad is unable to ride a few) then I'll chance leaving it in the stroller. I live on the edge.

Here is another bunch of questions!!!!

Ok experienced drivers....What is your arrival plan? Do you stop and get groceries/must haves before entering the resort or do you check in first and then head out.....or do you bypass and use Garden Grocer? What do you pack from your home grocer? What are the other advantages of having your own car besides free parking/no Dis transportation to deal with? What size milk can we fit in the Pop refrigerator?

No, our suitcases are not out quite yet. We are actually in the process of moving, so we need to get settled in the new place then actually FIND our suitcases!!!

We pack a backpack. We put ponchos on the bottom. (The backpack has an opening on the bottom and side so it's easy to grab them in the event of rain.) We pack diapers and wipes in a zippered 31 pouch I got as a shower gift so that they're easy to grab and take to the bathroom. We include hats, sunscreen, video camera, extra set of clothes in a ziploc bag. We also have a few snacks on hand and extra zip lock bags. We also put the glow necklaces from the dollar store, the kids Mickey spinners, autograph books (in ziplocs) etc.

Most anything a toddler and preschooler can ride on you can take your bag with you.

EDIT: We also live on the edge and leave the backpack in the stroller since besides the camera, which we don't always carry with us, we don't have anything of real value in it. We've been lucky so far.

I found a cute, highly rated set on Kohl's website this afternoon. Only sale from over 200 to just $90 with free shipping. Woohoo!

YA'all mentioned Khol's? A few hours later I have a total paid on Khol's charge card $81.71 for a 5pc Sonoma life+style Torrance luggage set.
Free shipping and 20% off sale price, plus I had a Khol's merchandise credit in my purse.

THANKS !!!!!

I looked at that too! Settled for a 3 pc set (we likely need more but I don't want to pay more checked bag fees) but that was my other choice! Yay Kohl's! Let me know what you think when you get it!

We always have our car, I don't fly, we take the AutoTrain from Lorton Va to Sanford Fl (about 39mi from WDW), I find the main benefits of having your car are, you can bring as much stuff as you want, you can go to other places like Seaworld Busch Gardens, Legoland, Universial etc, plus on the way home we load up on Florida oranges & grapefruit for ourselves & friends & family, everyone always looks forward for us to get home:goodvibes

Yeah!! I finished the kids' autograph books (photo books on Shutterfly). Shared pics on the FB page! :-)

We used Frog Toggs last year. They worked good but I suggest cutting them. They are a little big.

It's usually just the two of us so we bring a backpack with the Frog Toggs, flip flops (for the water rides/rain so we don't have squishy sneakers and socks), ponchos (the $1.99 ones from target), our refillable mugs (since we usually have our coffee on the way to the parks), bottles of water, ziplock bags (to put our important stuff/electronics in if it rains/water rides), and our sunglasses, his wallet, my camera, and any other loose items we have on us we throw in there when we go on the rides.

When we go on the rides, DH usually puts one leg through each backpack arm so it doesn't go anywhere (unless there is a spot provided for us to put it).

No problem! I'm glad it worked out! Two days before I went on my senior trip to WDW, my parents realized our luggage was crappy so my dad ran out to Kohls and got a pretty good deal. Granted that was 10 years ago lol but I'm glad you got it!

Lime Green Mickey Heads are here!!!! I finally got around to getting the new ones finished up for this years Team August! Those who had them last year will notice a few changes...the lime green is definitely brighter and it prints out just about right on my printer. (Went thru many shades of testing lol) Also redesigned the font a bit so more of the image shows thru. The printed size as is comes out to about 9.5" wide by 7.5 inches tall. Since they are a .png file they resize pretty well so you should be able to print in any size.

They are fully customizeable! Just let me know what design you would like and I can usually have it ready for you in a day or so. I'll use your forum user name by default, but if you want something different just let me know! Also if you want, I can change the background to just about any character but realize that some may not work well with the shape of the text.

So here are this year's 2013 Team August LGMH's!

Mickey and the gang!

Princesses

Villians

Can I have a Mickey and the gang one? Thank you in advance!
