best counter service in the parks - solo, salad

Tusker house serves Salmon, corn chowder, salads, chicken sandwiches, a wild assortment. Love it! Best dining in AK! Of course, wouldn't miss the Prime Time 50's Cafe at MGM, but remember to keep your elbows off the table! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Has the Polynesian Resort went downhill?

What, never. It's a flagship to the Kingdom. Can't think of a better place to sit on a sandy beach and watch the fireworks over the castle. Of course, the Grand Floridian and Contemporary are in the running, but you feel the a part of the Magic Kingdom while staying at the Polynesian. And...

Since it has just rained the last 5 days in a row, Teva work well, and in the cold, just add socks. When the socks are wet, you can remove them. Keeping it simple!

I think that would be Celebration, although Disney sold the town, I still consider it on property.

    Valet Tipping?

Thanks, Pochontas1 for asking this question. I use to tip at drop off and pick up, both, then someone clued me in, it's at pick up. Then I actually had a friend laugh, because they thought at $10-20 tip was appropriate, and I only tipped a couple of dollars. I have continued to tip a couple...

Steak'N Shake?? anyone heard of it?

Careful, sometimes you will find that Steak 'n Shake on 535, loaded with a bus drop off. Good, cheap food, but don't think it would be worth traveling off Disney property for a burger. And, don't even think of venturing down 192 to find that Steak 'n Shake, construction mess currently. If...

    Making special requests

It has been my success to get to the check in counter as early as possible. Much earlier than I actually want my room. There are more rooms available, and come available during the day. I try to check in around 9 a.m., although room not available, they can usually honor my requests first...

    Le Cellier & small children

Yes, try LeCellier. It's Disney, children are welcomed. I've eaten there many times, and if you want a speedy meal, they will accommodate that, too. Just tell them you here to eat, not dine, and they hurry the order along. I promise that you won't be disappointed!
