    Calling All Sea-Sickness Suggestions!

A Relief Band is the best remedy for seasickness or motion sickness of any kind. My ob/gyn prescribed one for me before we went on our first cruise years ago when I was 4 months pregnant. They are difficult to find now, but are available on ebay for $150-$300 depending on whether you want the...

Cabo: Kids dolphin encounter vs. Dolphin Experience?

Our two youngest did the kids dolphin encounter in Cabo and loved it. They actually got to ride on a dolphin. Our oldest did the other excursion because she was too old and even though her's cost more, the two younger kids had a much better experience with more interaction with the dolphins...

Conductivity Gel for Original Relief Band?

Relief bands are the absolute best solution for motion sickness. I would never cruise without mine. I am surprised more people don't know about them, but they are very hard to find (and expensive) these days, so I am kind of glad the general public is not aware of them. I am hoping they come...

    Tipping concierge

We gave the concierge a $300 tip for our family of 5 on a 7 night MR on the Wonder last year. He was outstanding & went out of his way to make our cruise magical in every way.:cool1:

    Creaking and Rattling

On our MR last February, we were in a suite on deck 8 near the aft staircase & the creaking was very noticeable. The seas were fairly rough on that cruise as well. We got used to it after a couple of nights but next time I am taking a white noise machine.:) I will also know now to call...

    Questions about Mexican Riviera excursions

We did the Paradise Beach excursion through Disney & loved it. I would not want to make the trip there on my own, it was a fairly long bus ride. Our 3 kids did the dolphin swim in Cabo & loved it. We purchased the photo cd. It was $99, which we thought was reasonable compared to the other...

    Food!

Cafe Orleans was our family's absolute favorite. We loved the monte cristo sandwiches, gumbo, pomme frittes & mickey beignets so much we ate there twice on our last trip. It is also casual & relatively inexpensive. My daughter & I were just discussing how we wish we could go back & have...

Disney Wonder Suites -- bed arrangement?

We were on your cruise & also upgraded to a1BR suite. I think we both need to book again soon. I really need to hear Mike's voice on the phone again telling me "Good Morning". I am in serious DCL withdrawal.:) Hoping to book Hawaii or something fabulous soon, can't wait much longer for the...

Please help me NOT get sick...

Bonine worked well for our entire family on our MR cruise last winter. But if you are really worried & money is no object, buy a relief band. You can typically find them on e-bay for $150 to $250, & you might be able to find one online from a retailer in the same price range. My dr prescribed...

Mex Riv cruisers - Is Harolds limo the same as southcoastlimo.com?

Black stretch Lincoln town car. We had 5 & tons of luggage & had plenty of room. I would say you could get at least 8 in there comfortably with luggage. He also provides bottled water & candy for the kids. We did transfers from LAX to Disneyland, DL to the port, port back to DL and DL to LAX...

Mex Riv cruisers - Is Harolds limo the same as southcoastlimo.com?

Harold's limo is NOT the same as south coast limo, he does not have a website, you need to call him directly. I suspect south coast bought the website with his name because of all of his great reviews and the fact that he doesn't have a website. We used him last Feb and were very happy with...

    Mexican Riviera in February?

We went last February and the weather was great. A little chilly the first day or two down & back, but compared to a midwestern winter it was wonderful. Not cold enough to keep us out of the pools, just a little breezy. We brought jackets but hardly used them. In Mexico, it was perfect...

    Limo Rental in LA

We used Harold's Limo last Feb and loved it. Harold took us from LAX to the Park Vue Inn, PVI to the port, port back to PVI, then back to LAX from the PVI. As I recall, the cost of each transfer was less than $90, and that may have included the gratuity. It was much cheaper than a shuttle for...

    Another MR question

When we went on our MR last Feb, we used only US dollars and our credit card. We got a better exchange rate on the larger purchases with the credit card and all of the vendors and excursion operators were glad to accept US dollars.:cool1:

    Family of five...

We booked a cat 4 KSF for our family of 5 on our MR cruise last Feb, then upgraded to a suite at the port:banana:

Anyone booked for Pacific Cruise from LA September 2012

Our best DL advice is to eat at Cafe Orleans at least once. We loved the pomme frittes, gumbo and Mickey beignets so much we ate there twice, before and after our last cruise.:yay:

tipping kids club counselors and conceirge

On our 7 night MR last winter, we tipped the concierge about the same as the stateroom hostess, maybe more, can't remember the exact amount. He (Mike Cuddy) helped make our trip truly magical.:cool2:
