    Virgin flyer miles

Yes, I've used shops away, it tracks your purchases much like quidco does, and eventually the miles will appear in your account. When the miles do appear then the expiry date will update as well. I've also found that you can collect miles and loyalty points. For example you can link through...

    Virgin flyer miles

I've just 'cashed' in 9500 miles for our flights in November to Orlando. Going out in Economy and back in Premium, and it saved us just over £100 per person, but even looking for if we did the whole journey in economy the saving was about £90. I don't think I've ever had a saving of less than...

What do you take in your hand luggage?

I use my backpack that I will use in the theme parks and fill with: Jelly sweets Chewing Gum or Mints Couple of magazines bought at the airport - don't do books, but that's a personal thing Bottle of water - sometimes I just can't be bothered to get up and ask, but it also means I've got...

    Finally booked for November :-)

Thanks for the info, especially re: restaurants and Thanksgiving, as we tend to eat out all the time (we're on holiday, why should we cook? :)) Will remember some warmer clothes, last thing we want to be is cold in the evenings.

    Finally booked for November :-)

I needed to share, we haven't been for 2 years, and tonight I've just booked for the last 2 weeks of November :cool1: Cashed in some airmiles and flying out in ecomony but back in premium on Virgin, I'm so excited, never flown in premium before. Got a fantastic timeshare swap deal, we like to...

Indirect flight 45 min connection time

If the flights are with the same carrier you should be ok, unless there is a massive delay in your first flight. My parents were once travelling back to Manchester from Phoenix, via Philadelphia and I was tracking the flights, as I was due to pick them up from the airport. Their flight from...

    Universal & Express Pass

We went in September 4 years ago, so pre-WWoHP, but everything was quiet. We did everything we wanted to in IOA in 3 1/2 hours, just missed Pseidon's Fury out, Universal was a little longer, due to the timings of shows. We've also been in June a few times and never used Express Pass, just had...

    November/December 2013

After not going for 2 years (moved house last year,) we're finally able to go again and will be going in November, when I've booked it :cool1: Both myself and DBF have special birthdays this year, and as we can't go when it's mine we're going when it's his, which means we will be there over...

    Random question re packing chargers

If everything runs off a USB type cable then, you could try this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-4-Port-Power-Supply-Charger/dp/B002VEAPI0/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1337018445&sr=8-11 This will probably do for us while away, as we have iPhones, iPad and camera which all charge off of a USB...

    Ladies - which bag?

DBF goes hands free, he has cargo shorts, but I just can't so, I tend to take a small-ish back pack, that can fit: 2 bottles of water suncream + cloth to wipe hands after applying camera purse keys I will be in the market for one as well, so this thread is very useful. I got a new back...

    Cirque show & bored teens

This is an interesting thing, I used to be a gymnast, so was very keen on going to see the Cirque show, but my other half, who think gymnastics is not a sport, was really not that keen on going at all. Anyway, I dragged him along and he really enjoyed it and was glad he went. Obviously, I don't...

MCO arrival time if you've checked in at DTD

We still try to arrive about 2 1/2 hours before the flight, this then gives us chance to take the car back, get through security, check out duty free, and get something to eat before the flight. It's a couple of years since we've been but there was an Outback Steakhouse in departures after...

    Flight options - help!

Not read all the posts but when looking at Thomson, check those costs include baggage, as I've found if you're just looking at the base price then the baggage isn't included, but with Virgin it is. So this could add a further c.£70pp to the cost of your flights. I'm looking for September at...

    Points on license

I don't think you'll have a problem. My DBF had points on his licence a few years ago and didn't have any issues. In fact we always take both parts of our driving licence but they only ever want to see the Photocard. Maybe some of the others on here have had difference experiences, but that...

"Avatar" Attraction/Land Coming to Animal Kingdom

Not sure about this myself, I have not had any desire to see Avatar, and to be honest I still don't. From the way they've described it I can see how it would fit into AK, but maybe it would be better somewhere like HS which is easier to get round. However, it maybe that there is more space...

    Good sports shop

We've always struggled to find hockey jerseys in Orlando, being the big hockey fans that we are, you'd probably have a better chance in Tampa finding some, but I realise this is out of the way. I recently got a San Jose jersey for my brother from the hockey jersey outlet on eBay, delivered...

    Compact or Economy Car

We booked an economy car with Dollar last year, at the desk they tried to upgrade us, we declined, but when we went to pick the car it was no different to a compact, and was fine for us for 2 weeks.

    Directions to I.O.A.

You don't even need to do that, they are available on iTunes UK as well, as I looked at those a few months back.

    Directions to I.O.A.

I think the 2 best routes have been posted. What you need to check if you choose the I4 route is the traffic, as that is the way that is most likely to be congested, whereas the Turkey Lake Road route won't have as much traffic on it.

    Directions to I.O.A.

I usually stay offsite, so my directions are from DTD. From DTD travel down Hotel Plaza Boulevard, when you get to the lights at the end opposite Crossroads, turn left, then at the next set turn right onto Palm Parkway. Once on Palm Parkway this becomes Turkey Lake Road (after Central Florida...
