? Those who stayed at Hojos from 2/27-3/5

I was just there last week, Mar 2-5 with a 4 & 6 year old. Wednesday was a fabulous day to be in the park, very minimal line-ups. The kids loved being able to get off a favorite ride and basically get right back on. Thursday was a good day as well in term of crowds. Friday was noticeably busier...

San Francisco (Just Out of Town) Hotel Help

Sorry the Larkspur didn't work out as it was very clean and modern. Our 2 kids are much younger than yours so they just shared the pull-out sofa. There were lots of other hotels in the area - hopefully you can find something else.

San Fran - Exploratorium or Discovery Museum?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We are home now...but we did stop at the children's museum in San Jose (ended up not having time to go to the Bay Area Discovery Museum). The kids loved, loved the children's museum in San Jose. We could barely get our 4 year old to leave. FYI, we also...

San Francisco (Just Out of Town) Hotel Help

We looked for a hotel outside of the city for the exact reason you described - crazy parking costs! We ended up staying at Larkspur Landing in South San Francisco just last week and had a great stay. It wasn't too far from all the sights in SF as well.

San Fran - Exploratorium or Discovery Museum?

The children's museum in San Jose looks fabulous. Thanks for the tip! I think we might save the Exploratorium for our next trip...!

San Fran - Exploratorium or Discovery Museum?

Hello, we have time to take our 4 & 6 year olds to one museum in SF enroute to Disneyland at the end of Feb. Can someone compare the Exploratorium to the Discovery Museum? Looking at the websites, I thought the outdoor area of the Discovery Museum looks fun, but it seems everyone talks about the...

    Sunscreen for kid with eczema

Last summer I tried 5 sunscreens, including Ombrelle and Aveeno, and the one that my son didn't react to was Coppertone spray-on for kids. I guess everyone reacts differently. Someone told me to try spray-on because it's less thick. I also read somewhere that the really high SPFs can also cause...

    Flight Center tickets?

Flight Centre gives you a printout showing what you've bought and you show that along with your ID. FYI, they also sell vouchers for the character meals.

OT... ? for people living in Greater Vancouver area

I am in the White Rock/South Surrey area and love it. Great sense of community - which is important to us - good schools, close to beaches, nice parks, etc. We moved here from Langley, which we found it too suburban - that is, lots of big box stores, cookie-cutter subdivisions, not much of a...

    Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland Resort

We have two kids under 5 and stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in April and had a great stay. Excellent location (it's a very easy walk to DL), clean, and friendly staff. I loved having the Pizza Hut in the hotel. We also ate at Millie's several times. They offer a 99 cent kids meal with...

    Princess Fantasy Faire

I agree with this, if you only have one day and are already meeting the princesses at Ariel's Grotto, it might be fun to do the coronation instead of another meet and greet. Less waiting and then she can say she went to a royal celebration! Plus there are princesses on stage so she'll still get...

    Princess Fantasy Faire

We were there 5 days and I have a princess-obsessed daughter, so we were at the fantasy faire a few times!! It can definitely be busy to meet the princesses. Both times we went around 10-10:30 am - one day we waited 40 mins to do the meet and greet; the other day 1 hour. When I was there the...

    Princess Fantasy Faire

Just got back from DL a few days ago. The times that bumbershoot posted for the coronation and storytelling seem like the same times they had for those events when I was there as well. The royal walk was open 9 to 6. It seemed like there are princesses there all day, taking turns. Have fun...

    birthday buckets

I'm thinking of celebrating my dd's birthday by ordering a birthday bucket when we have lunch at Ariel's Grotto. If I do that, will the princesses wish her a happy birthday when they come by? Will anyone sing to her? And when do they bring the bucket - at the beginning of the meal? Just...

    Ariel's Grotto Breakfast??

WOW. I nearly fell off my chair reading the price. That is expensive! I'm booked but didn't think it would be $39 per adult. On the Disneyland website it says $20-$30 per person (although there was a disclaimer that said that's for reference only). I think they need to update that... Oh...

    Roll Up the Rim...prize counter

This is my first year playing - I only recently became addicted to Tim's. I'm 3 for 9 on large cups, winning coffees. Cool! Someone mentioned most of their wins were from drive-thru's, that's me too...

    Princess Must-Do List

For my princess-obsessed daughter we'll make sure to: - have lunch @ Ariel's Grotto (already booked!) - go to the Princess Faire - visit Ariel in King triton's garden - stop by Aladdin & Jasmine's storytime Is there anything I'm missing, esp. involving Cinderella and Belle, her...
