Day 12 part 5 Your Prince Is Very Brave To Go On A Mission To Space
August 22nd, 2011
After filling our bellies with amazing food and taking restfully crossing the lagoon on a boat, we wanted to do something quiet. We walked to our beloved Spaceship Earth, which didnt have a wait. It was relaxing and fun, as always.
At the end we played the game Power City again. We were not able to beat our score from a previous day as it was not working well enough.
Another relaxing ride is Soarin, so that was our next destination. On the way we stopped to watch Circle of Life, an Environmental Fable. It was kinda moralistic, and way too filtered. It left us feeling neutral. Definitely do not need to see it again. On Soarin we got the front row again, yay! I also got to go barefoot as I was wearing flip flops. It was such a great feeling!
Ron had Mission Space FPs to use, so we separated. Turns out he did not even need to use his FPs, as the line was VERY short. He even got a whole simulator to himself. (I'm pretty sure these pictures are from MS, but I wouldn't know since I refused to go on it this time)
While he did that, I went back to World Showcase to meet some characters. First stop was France; as Marie was suppose to come out in 10 minutes. I waited near her spot. 15 minutes later and she was not out yet, so I was about to move on to Sleeping Beauty, but then Marie came out. Several people followed her, but her handler saw that I was there first (well, I actually was the only one waiting!), so he let me go first. Thank you nice CM!
All those people had come from Princess Auroras line as she had not come out yet, so I got to be second in line there! Score for short lines! We had a short but nice conversation. She asked where my prince was, and I said Mission Space. So she said that my prince was very brave to go on a mission to space.
My next destination was Morocco. On the way there I saw Belle with a very long line. I had already seen her, so I was not going to stop. But as I got closer I noticed she wasnt actually meeting anyone, and seemed kinda bored. Everyone was waiting for Beast to join her! Another family noticed the same thing, so we both went to see her right away. I had an even longer conversation with her, as you can see here. Too bad I dont remember the details. All my conversations usually revolved around my Ears, my Prince, and if I was having a good time.
I moved on to meet Aladdin and Jasmine. They were not set to come out for another 20 minutes, yet their line was already long. I usually skip on long lines, but I had nothing else to do so I was ready to wait. Unfortunately, it started drizzling (and thundering), so instead I went to Japan to shop some more. I think that is when I bought the souvenirs for Rons DD, which were a lucky owl (green, for education) and a survival guide with key phrases in Japanese. I guess it was the day of talking with other guests because I chatted with a woman in Mitsukoshi, and not one but two little girls told me they loved my ears. Lots of guests commented on those throughout our trip, but rarely directly to me. I didnt mind the attention. Which is kinda weird, because I'm super shy in lots of circumstances, but not with that. I also have no problem dancing on stage in front of people.
While in Japan, I also went to a little room where they had this exhibition on Spiritual Beasts. I took LOTS of pictures, as I knew DD would be very interested in seeing those. If you have no interest in Japanese Anime and such, skip this next batch of photos.
Random fact : I'm part of a message board where we play lots of online games based on reality shows (the games are created by us). One time I was part of a tribe named Kitsune, and found out later, while in Disney, what it meant.
I went back out about 20 minutes later and realized it never actually rained.
There was absolutely no one to be seen around Aladdins area, so I guess they were not coming out anymore because of the storm. (I have since learned that they were probably meeting somewhere inside Morocco.) By that time Ron had texted me that he was chilling at The Seas, so I slowly made my way there. I stopped for a Grey Goose slushie in France, and to listen to one song from British Invasion in the U.K. I also got a couple of monorail shots.
While he was waiting for me, Ron did the Nemo ride and watched Turtle Talk With Crush again. He said it was not as good as the first time, that the guy doing Crush did not do it well. Eventually I met up with Ron. What did we do next?
