Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

I am so sorry about your loss. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to say good bye but I am glad she had the time to meet Claudia. Hoping the love of all the friends and family help you find comfort. Again, deeply sorry.

(Sighs) Why...? Why must the world be so cruel? To make us cry tears of grief, sorrow and sadness. Whether we are old, whether we are young, we cannot shake off what we lose in life itself. The people we are close to are often the very things we cherish. We cannot forget who they were, or what they did, during their time on earth we can remember what it was like with the people who passed away.

We must not let emotions overtake our lives or what we do in the future we must look at these people not for their death but what they did for us that's what we need to remember.

Don't lose sight of what's important, keep soldiering on in life just follow your heart and you'll go far.

My heart breaks for you and your family, Mel. How nice to have been able to say bye and remind one another how much you're loved and cherished.

I am happy to hear that your mother spent her last days being visited by family and friends and that her passing was peaceful. I'm sure it meant the world to her. It's wonderful that you have the memories of her spending time with your sweet Claudia. I will continue to think of you and to pray for peace for you and your family.

Thanks everyone. :grouphug:
It wasn't so bad the first week, but then it got really hard after the funeral, once it really set in that it is "real". I've just started to feel like myself again. Obviously Claudia has been a great help in making me smile every day. She is so full of life, and my heart melts every time she smiles at me, especially first thing in the morning. One time she caught me crying while I was feeding her and she let go of the bottle to smile at me, as if to say "don't cry maman, I love you" :lovestruc

I've also kept my mind busy by reading several of your TRs and keeping up to date with the new Fantasyland updates.

Here's a picture of me feeding Peanut just before bedtime. Sorry if it looks like I'm giving you guys the finger. She's probably holding on to my other finger underneath that bib. :rotfl:

Adorable picture of you and Claudia. I'm sure she is helping you immensely in finding things to smile about.

awe Mel! She is so stinking cute! Glad your back on here, and even more happy to hear that your heart is healing a bit!

What a lovely picture. I am glad yu have your daughter to help you through this time. :)

Beautiful picture! She's adorable Mel!

It takes time, and I'm so glad that you have your gorgeous baby to help you through this hard time.

I've been doing some intense DISing this past week! I've either finished, caught up, or at least started reading every TR and PTR I'm subscribed to. I *think* the only one I have yet to start is Nermel's, but if I've forgotten someone else let me know!

I thought after all this catching up I should post a little update on my own, so expect to read more about our Epcot day later tonight. I can't believe I've dragged this TR for over a year now. I know it was a long, very packed trip, and that I have some major life events this year, but still... time to finish this puppy! Besides Epcot, I only have one more full day, then departure day.

It's so good to see you posting again on the Dis. I agree with inkedupmomma, post all of the pictures of the baby you want. I, personally, love seeing them.

Day 12 part 5 Your Prince Is Very Brave To Go On A Mission To Space
August 22nd, 2011

After filling our bellies with amazing food and taking restfully crossing the lagoon on a boat, we wanted to do something quiet. We walked to our beloved Spaceship Earth, which didnt have a wait. It was relaxing and fun, as always.

At the end we played the game Power City again. We were not able to beat our score from a previous day as it was not working well enough.

Another relaxing ride is Soarin, so that was our next destination. On the way we stopped to watch Circle of Life, an Environmental Fable. It was kinda moralistic, and way too filtered. It left us feeling neutral. Definitely do not need to see it again. On Soarin we got the front row again, yay! I also got to go barefoot as I was wearing flip flops. It was such a great feeling!

Ron had Mission Space FPs to use, so we separated. Turns out he did not even need to use his FPs, as the line was VERY short. He even got a whole simulator to himself. (I'm pretty sure these pictures are from MS, but I wouldn't know since I refused to go on it this time)

While he did that, I went back to World Showcase to meet some characters. First stop was France; as Marie was suppose to come out in 10 minutes. I waited near her spot. 15 minutes later and she was not out yet, so I was about to move on to Sleeping Beauty, but then Marie came out. Several people followed her, but her handler saw that I was there first (well, I actually was the only one waiting!), so he let me go first. Thank you nice CM!

All those people had come from Princess Auroras line as she had not come out yet, so I got to be second in line there! Score for short lines! We had a short but nice conversation. She asked where my prince was, and I said Mission Space. So she said that my prince was very brave to go on a mission to space.

My next destination was Morocco. On the way there I saw Belle with a very long line. I had already seen her, so I was not going to stop. But as I got closer I noticed she wasnt actually meeting anyone, and seemed kinda bored. Everyone was waiting for Beast to join her! Another family noticed the same thing, so we both went to see her right away. I had an even longer conversation with her, as you can see here. Too bad I dont remember the details. All my conversations usually revolved around my Ears, my Prince, and if I was having a good time.

I moved on to meet Aladdin and Jasmine. They were not set to come out for another 20 minutes, yet their line was already long. I usually skip on long lines, but I had nothing else to do so I was ready to wait. Unfortunately, it started drizzling (and thundering), so instead I went to Japan to shop some more. I think that is when I bought the souvenirs for Rons DD, which were a lucky owl (green, for education) and a survival guide with key phrases in Japanese. I guess it was the day of talking with other guests because I chatted with a woman in Mitsukoshi, and not one but two little girls told me they loved my ears. Lots of guests commented on those throughout our trip, but rarely directly to me. I didnt mind the attention. Which is kinda weird, because I'm super shy in lots of circumstances, but not with that. I also have no problem dancing on stage in front of people.

While in Japan, I also went to a little room where they had this exhibition on Spiritual Beasts. I took LOTS of pictures, as I knew DD would be very interested in seeing those. If you have no interest in Japanese Anime and such, skip this next batch of photos.

Random fact : I'm part of a message board where we play lots of online games based on reality shows (the games are created by us). One time I was part of a tribe named Kitsune, and found out later, while in Disney, what it meant.

I went back out about 20 minutes later and realized it never actually rained.

There was absolutely no one to be seen around Aladdins area, so I guess they were not coming out anymore because of the storm. (I have since learned that they were probably meeting somewhere inside Morocco.) By that time Ron had texted me that he was chilling at The Seas, so I slowly made my way there. I stopped for a Grey Goose slushie in France, and to listen to one song from British Invasion in the U.K. I also got a couple of monorail shots.

While he was waiting for me, Ron did the Nemo ride and watched Turtle Talk With Crush again. He said it was not as good as the first time, that the guy doing Crush did not do it well. Eventually I met up with Ron. What did we do next?
