Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

Prediction Time!!!

I'm having my ultrasound next Monday. :cool1: It's a bit early, as I'll only be 18 weeks (they usually do it at 20 weeks), but my doctor said it doesn't matter, it should be fine. Sure hope they can tell me the gender of the baby!

So, what are your predictions? Boy or Girl? :woohoo:

I'm saying a Boy, just a feeling I have. :goodvibes:wizard:

I think it will be a girl! Everyone is having girls lately, so I think you will too! :thumbsup2

I think it is a boy also:). I had terrible morning sickness with my son:sick: so maybe that is why.

Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Oh please dear god let it be a boy. I'll tell you what Rommel I'll let you re-read my trip report again after you've had the baby so you get used to your child more. Or if you want you could do it now and save the trouble later. But it's just a suggestion anyway.

Hi! All caught up again!

Love the crib, and I'm glad you found someone to help you get it home.

I'm thinking boy with all the morning sickness, but what do I know? I really, really wanted a boy, and ended up with a princess :lmao: not that I'd change a thing.

Girl!! :thumbsup2

I love the crib. Beatriz has something similar and right now she is on set up #2. We will probably remove that bar soon.
I remember pregnancy sleepless nights. Try to get as much rest as you can. You will need the energy but I guess you already knew that.

I wish I could have that red velvet cupcake right now. Hmmmmm!

Just had my doctor's appointment today (regular appointment I get every 5 weeks). I gained 5 pounds in the last 5 weeks. :) Peanut was moving around SO MUCH that the doctor had to chase him/her around to be able to hear the heartbeat for more than 1 second at a time. :lmao: And I cannot wait for the ultrasound!!!

It's the feeling I've had since my first ultrasound. Though that feeling hasn't been as strong these past couple of days...

I think it will be a girl! Everyone is having girls lately, so I think you will too! :thumbsup2

These past couple of years it seemed everyone around me was having a girl, but right now all the pregnant women around me are expecting boys.

My SIL actually told me that terrible morning sickness means a baby with lots of hair at birth! :rotfl:

I asked my students what they think the baby will be, and almost all of the boys in grade 1 said boy, and all the girls said girl. :rotfl2: It was more mixed with my grade 5s. You remind me of my students with your comment.

I might even have found someone who is getting rid of the exact dresser I wanted to buy. It was quite the expensive dresser, so to get it for free or cheap would be awesome!

I really want a princess, so with my luck I'll have a boy. I'm sure I'll love it either way though. :lovestruc

It's nice to hear from someone who has a similar crib. :)

I went to bed at 7:30pm on Wednesday night! It didn't matter how exhausted being back at work was making me, I just could not fall asleep before 1am because I had been going to bed so late during the Holidays. I was getting super sleepy around 7pm, before getting a boost again an hour later. Finally I realized that it's because 7pm was exactly 13 hours after I got up, which is the amount of time I was spending awake on vacation. :rotfl2: Now I'm back to a regular schedule though. :)

Mmmm, red velvet. Now I'm hungry!

Day 7 part 6 - Lights! Motors! Action!
August 17th, 2011

It was getting close to the start time of Lights! Motors! Action!, so we made our way back to the theatre. Our seats were pretty high up, but it didn't bother us. We prefered walking around Streets of America to waiting for a good seat. I find you can see well from pretty much anywhere anyway.

I wanted to take a picture of us, but somebody was too busy taken picture on his own...

There, that's better!

Here are the pictures he was taking.

The rest of the pictures for this update are all of the show. If you haven't seen it and don't want to be spoiled, you can SKIP AHEAD to the next update. Otherwise, enjoy!

The verdict? I liked it! It was pretty cool. Ron LOVED it! It's part of his top 3 shows in Disney. The only part he didn't enjoy so much is the part with Lightning McQueen and Mater. I have to agree, that part was kind of lackluster in terms of stunts.

Up Next, More Stunts, From A Certain Indiana Jones

Love the photos of the car show! I hope Josh and I get to see it this time. I think he would really like it :goodvibes

Day 7 part 7 - Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
August 17th, 2011

I'm giving you two updates back to back today, as they are only covering two shows that we saw.

We exited the car stunt show and, along with lots of people, headed straight for the last showing of the day of Indiana Jones. On the way Ron made a quick pit stop at Star Tours 2 to get himself a set of FPs.

Just like the previous update, this one will basically consist of lots of pictures of the show, and not a lot of writing by me. You can always SKIP AHEAD to the next update if you are not interested, of prefer to keep the surprise for yourself when you see the show.

We were amongst the last to enter the theatre and were seated on the very far left.

As I was looking at the stage for the opening number, I thought it looked pretty bare. I was wondering how they would do a full 30 minutes show with just the background and an almost empty stage. Then, this happened:

The stage moved! It separated in two and revealed a second set of backgrounds. Wow! I did not expect that.

I enjoyed that part a lot because of all the acrobatics. Then the stage moved again and revealed the third and final set of the show.

I enjoyed this show too, but I don't think I need to watch it every time I go to Disney.

We took a few photos in the post-show area.

Then we went our separate ways.

Up Next, Where Were We Each Headed? Hint : I Met A Villain!

We made our second big baby purchase. We bought a stroller! It was on sale for 50%, so we paid 200$ instead of 400$. Yay for getting a higher end stroller at a decent price! Now we just have to wait for the car seat to go on sale.

It has so many great features! It's quite light, easy to fold, easy to maneuver even with just one hand, the seat can recline all the way back for naps, and we can even have the seat facing forward or backward. The storage under the seat is easily accessible. It's not the biggest, but it's large enough. And it's black, so Ron loves it. :goodvibes

I don't know.. I'm thinking girl though :goodvibes

I sure hope it's a girl! princess:

It's a very fun show, and a great way to pass the time in the middle of the afternoon when lines are too long anywhere. :thumbsup2

I enjoy both of those shows. Neither are must-sees for me, but I do like them both. I don't know if I will go to either next month, since I only have one day in DHS this time.

Very cool pictures of both shows. We didn't get to see either of them the last two years and I missed them.

Yay for making your second baby purchase! Having a good stroller is essential!

Glad you guys enjoyed the shows! We usually skip them, but maybe we'll check them out again soon!

I think that I read that someone told you that morning sickness meant the baby would have lots of hair. I was told that indigestion meant lots of hair on the baby. However, the person who told me that was my aunt who told me as a child that if I ate the crusts of my bread I'd have big breasts. That was not true. :lmao:

I have to agree that both shows are great but once you have seen them you don't have to go again till maybe your next trip to WDW or at all :)

Nice stroller, Rommel. I'm still hoping for a boy damn it! Anyways glad to hear you enjoyed the Indiana Jones show and (sigh) The motor cars stunt show....I mean am I the only one who thinks the latter show is lame and very generic? And surprisingly enough I actually missed most of the shows when I was there. But thankfully once I go back I'm watching every show they there. Well...when I say every show I mean most of the shows anyways I'll still need more advice for the second trip and I'm still new to this whole "planning" thing anyway.

Hi Mel, great update and love the photos of both DHS shows! :goodvibes

These aren't 'must dos' for us but I do enjoy them :thumbsup2 just this week I watched a special on tv about Disneyland Paris and the Studios there, where 'Lights Motors Action' originated - there were some good interviews with the stuntmen and it showed the village in the south of France that inspired the set!

Hope you, Ron and peanut are all well.. I went to see a friend today who had her baby last Saturday, she had a little boy.. so tiny! :cutie: Excited to find out what you are having... I will guess ... a girl :wizard:
