Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

I love nicknames for unborn babies. ;) My nephew was "Angus"....yes, my brother and I love MacGyver....and my boss's son was known as "Haggis."

Jill in CO

My cousin was named "Cletus the Fetus" until she was born

I love hearing all those nicknames for fetuses! It's fun because you can get really creative, since you know it's only for a few months.

Oh I see it's a nickname. Sorry it's just that celebrities in the past have come up with dumb names for their children and I thought that was it. Anyways I think I may need your help soon with my second trip. So expect me posting a thread in the Trip Planner forum soon and on another side note are you feeling a lot better now?

I like original and unique names, but not that crazy. :rotfl:

When you are ready to need my help in planning your next trip just post the link to your thread here or PM me. Otherwise I may just never see the thread. There are way too many posts in that forum to keep up with everything!

Day 7 part 4 - Heavenly Cupcake
August 17th, 2011

I don't know if it's because we didn't trust the sky not to pour rain on us again, or if it was too hot outside, but next we decided to go watch the little animation movie with Mushu. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it was raining again while we were waiting in line for it. Luckily, the line is entirely covered. We were almost the first in line, as we had just missed the previous showing, but the line quickly filled up behind us with people trying to escape the rain.

It's quite funny, and I'm glad we took the time to do it. After the movie we walked around the building a little and took a couple of pictures of the displays they had.

The line must have been too long for a drawing class because we did not do one at that moment. Instead we went back outside (it had stopped raining) and went in search of the snack I had been waiting for all summer: A red velvet cupcake!!!!!

DSC03310.jpg

That thing is so incredibly delicious, it's heavenly! I've had a few red velvet cupcakes around here, but none compare. YUMMY!!! As we were sitting on the little tables outside Starring Rolls while I ate, we could see all the people lining up for the Pixar Countdown to Fun parade. We didn't have anything specific to do, so we moved closer and watched it. As you can see from the few photos I took while waiting for the parade, the clouds were still very dark and we had no clue how long we'd be able to stay dry.

Because the sky was so gray, we decided to go do another indoor attractions. Some photos taken on the way over there.

Ron loves this movie. I like it too, just not nearly as much as he does.

Up Next, From New York to San Francisco in 30 Seconds

Day 7 part 5 - From New York to San Francisco in 30 seconds
August 17th, 2011

One of our goals for Hollywood Studios was to see as many of the shows as it has to offer. We hadn't had much luck with catching Lights! Motors! Action! yet due to the rain, so we thought we'd try again for the 4:20pm showing. It was still quite a bit away though and we did not feel like waiting in line for it. We went to talk to the CM at the entrance, first to ask if there would be a show (yes there would be, it wasn't raining anymore), and if we'd still be able to get in if we came back closer to the actual time. She said she couldn't know for sure, but that the theatre could hold a large number of people so it should be fine.

To pass the time we explored the Streets of America. Isn't it great how you can walk from New York to San Francisco in less than a minute? Only in Disney!

First, this pic was actually taken from the line for Muppet Vision, but I had too many pictures in my previous update so I had to cut it. It's the backside of the Streets of America. Sorry if it's blurry.

Now I'll let the pictures do the talking.

I went to knock on one of the doors.

And this is what I saw when peeking in the window next to that door.

This picture was taken peeking through a fence. The details of this area of the park are so amazing. Even this little back alley looks real!

Up Next, Will I, Who Doesn't Care About Cars, Enjoy A Stunt Show?

Oh I see it's a nickname. Sorry it's just that celebrities in the past have come up with dumb names for their children and I thought that was it. I just realized that I forgot to answer your last question. See how this pregnancy is making me forgetful?

Anyway, I'm feeling so much better now. I've even cut down another of the anti-nausea pill with no problem so far. Almost all the negative symptoms of early pregnancy are gone, now I'm just waiting for the fun of feeling the baby move that should come any week now. And my sister-in-law came baby shopping with me two days ago, so I don't feel so overwhelmed about all those choices. :goodvibes

I love all of the pictures!

I've heard so much about Starring Rolls. I absolutely must try one of those cupcakes when we go :goodvibes

I wonder if you will like the stunt show.... hmmm...

I love the shots of the Streets of America! I've seen the windows, of course, but I really want to take the time on our next trip to really, really look well and notice all the little details.
And I want to draw something at the Animation Academy just once!!

I've been seeing that Red Velvet Cupcake in lots of TR's lately, I must try one! It looks fantastic! :lovestruc

The Streets of America are really cute, I love all those little details! :thumbsup2

We never really stop long enough to enjoy all that detail because the kids are almost running from place to place! And we always SAY we are going to draw something in Animation Academy but we seem to run out of time each trip:sad2:

We have to try the red velvet cupcake on our next trip. It looks amazing and my DD loves red velvet cake!:goodvibes

Thanks for all the pictures! And love, love the nickname for your little peanut! :goodvibes

Yummmmm, the Starring Rolls cupcakes are to die for! I'm usually a Butterfinger cupcake girl, but between your TR and a few others I think I'm going to go for the red velvet next time!

I hope the rain stays away for you for the rest of the night. The skies look so gloomy in your shots of the Streets of America and the parade!

Here's my unborn baby nickname. When I got pregnant with my son it was a BIG suprise as 2 yrs before my hubby and I were told we would never be able to conceive so my DS is definately our miracle baby (no fertility stuff, just miracle stuff:cloud9:). Because of that we talked a lot about choosing a name from the bible. To tease my Mom my hubby told her that if we had a boy we were naming him Deuteronomy, if we had a girl Leviticus and if we had twins Romans I and Romans II. :lmao: Once we found out he was a boy we continued to use the joke name of Deuteronomy or more often Deuter. My son knows the story now and is really glad his name is Benjamin and not Deuter!!! :rotfl:

That cupcake looks amazing! I love seeing all of the details of Streets of America that you captured. I need to stop and do that more often!

I hope you liked LMA! I care nothing about cars, either, and I really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

I start work again, after a wonderful two weeks off. :sad1: And I really should be in bed now, but I've been going to bed at 2-3am for the past 2 weeks and I just can't fall asleep. So I thought I'd do some replies.

But first, I made my first baby purchase this weekend. We bought a crib! It's those 4 in 1 things, which mean no need to buy another bed until Peanut is ready to leave home! Yay! Now the only problem is bringing the crib home. The box doesn't fit in our trunk (barely, it's about 2 inches too wide), and I don't feel like paying the 50$ delivery fee, so we need to find someone with a truck or SUV to help us... :rolleyes1 Here's a picture from the website. We chose the darker brown, which is called Java.

And then you'll be able to read my Trip Report again! Yes awesome sauce!

Yes, I have to remember to read it again!

I love all of the pictures!

I've heard so much about Starring Rolls. I absolutely must try one of those cupcakes when we go :goodvibes

We really wanted to take the time to explore more areas of the park this time, and I think we achieved it. :thumbsup2

Oh yes, you have to try those cupcakes! They are DElicious!

It truly is incredible how much details there are in those Streets of America, in all those windows, peeking through a door or behind a fence, etc.

You really should try the Animation class. It's so much fun. They can be quite popular though, so you either have to go early, or be prepared to wait for the next next class.

I've been seeing that Red Velvet Cupcake in lots of TR's lately, I must try one! It looks fantastic! :lovestruc

The Streets of America are really cute, I love all those little details! :thumbsup2

It tastes even better than it looks. YUM!! I want one now.

On our last trip we had never even made it to the Streets of America. We had missed so much by breezing through the parks. I love looking at all the details.

I was just going to type the exact thing you did:thumbsup2

The details are phenomenal! Even if we did slow down a lot compared to our previous trip, I know that we still missed SO MUCH! But I understand how slowing down can be tough with kids. heck, even with just the two of us we had to force ourselves to stop once in a while. :rotfl:

Not only is the drawing class fun, but it's also a great way to escape the heat/rain. Plus, there are lots of characters to meet around (you'll see later), I think your kids would love the area. :thumbsup2

I actually tried the Butterfinger cupcake later on that trip. You're gonna have to wait to find out which one I preferred. ;) I never evenw ould have thought of trying the butterfinger one if it wasn't for seeing it in all those TR. Yours is probably one I saw it in. :)

Those clouds were so gray and dark. DHS seemed to be cursed with rain for us that trip.

Those Disney cupcakes are so HUGE, you have to eat them with a fork and knife! :rotfl2: But oh so worth it.

I think if we had taken breaks every day like you guys do, we probably would not have taken the time to stop and look at all those details. That was our way of "taking a break" from running from attractions to attractions. On the other hand, you guys sure do take advantage of resting at the resort, which we don't know how to do. There must be a way to reach a happy medium? :goodvibes

That crib is so nice! Too bad it is just barely too big for your car. I hope you find someone with a larger vehicle soon so you can bring it home :goodvibes

Oh by the way Rommel, my trip planner thread is up on the trip planning forum so feel free to comment on it at anytime. It's called: "I need my disney fill baby!"

I have to say that velvet cupcake sure looks good. What did you think of the new star tours ride....we both thought it was great and love anything muppets :)

nice choice of crib/bed....now you don't have to buy another bed for peanut for along time.

Prediction Time!!!

I'm having my ultrasound next Monday. :cool1: It's a bit early, as I'll only be 18 weeks (they usually do it at 20 weeks), but my doctor said it doesn't matter, it should be fine. Sure hope they can tell me the gender of the baby!

So, what are your predictions? Boy or Girl? :woohoo:

That crib is so nice! Too bad it is just barely too big for your car. I hope you find someone with a larger vehicle soon so you can bring it home :goodvibes

Thank you! I found someone! I was talking about it in the staff room at work and another teacher very graciously offered to come and pick it up with me one day after school! The store is only 5 minutes away from the school, so it's not a detour at all. We just have to make sure Ron can leave work early to meet us at home so he can help bring it up the stairs. :thumbsup2

I'll remind you if you forget.

I'm counting on you! :rotfl:

I commented on it. :)

I have to say that velvet cupcake sure looks good. What did you think of the new star tours ride....we both thought it was great and love anything muppets :)

I hadn't tried the previous Star Tours (was feeling queasy and Ron and his DD went on it 2 years ago), so I can't compare. I liked the new Star Tours 2, the story was nice and everything. Unfortunately, it made me extremely queasy so I never went back on it. Ron loved it though, and rode it several times. Mostly while I was taking my drawing classes. :wizard:

nice choice of crib/bed....now you don't have to buy another bed for peanut for along time.

Thanks! It's a great thing to know I won't have to buy another bed for Peanut. The only thing I need to decide on, is if I should buy the extensions (to convert into a double bed) now or in a few years. On the one hand, I do have lots of things to buy now and it would be nice to spread the spending over a few years. On the other hand, what if they stop making those specific extension?
