Zillions of ads on Facebook???

Two or three days ago, I open Facebook, Post, post, ad, post post post, ad ,post ad, not talking about ads off to the side, ads in the normal spaces of posts.

Anyone have this and could you get rid of it?

I have it too - it’s very annoying.
It’s even worse for me on Instagram.
I have no idea how to lessen it or make it go away.

Have a FB account but rarely use it. Every so often a distant relative or friend from college will post something. I just looked at my page and it seem fine. I do use some sort of adblock software that works on every internet site. Maybe that is the issue for you?

Isn't counting the number of viewers who see ads how they make all their money? It's moving towards the end of the month and they probably need to get the counts up in spite of losing so many participants, you'll probably need to wait it out.

I hide ads all of the time.

Yep. Lots of ads mixed in to the posts. Ad block does nothing as these aren’t normal ads at first they may not even look like an ad because they are for local businesses.

I have a extension on Firefox called FBCleaner that removes ads, sponsored posts and suggested posts. Some do pop in every now and then but it's WAY better than not having it at all. I also have Ublock Origin and Adblock for YouTube as general internet browsing is borderline impossible without them.

it’s like two days ago someone flipped a switch. Never saw this type of thing before. I have never posted, just use to talk to family or see their posts of kids sports, etc.
