Booked a 3 day Wish cruise today that leaves in 28 days. No Palo reservations available for the entire cruise. My question is will some eventually open up to book? I know to ask on board but was hoping to snag something before then. When do people start canceling reservations before they board? Surely I will get to use my platinum benefit aboard this sailing.

Just got off a 4 day Wish cruise this morning. Snagged a Palo brunch reservation 5 days before sailing. I checked the app daily for availability. Then once onboard, I went to adjust our Palo dinner dining time and they had at least 6 different openings for me to choose from.

Hope it will be as easy for you, as well!

There will probably be spots available once you're onboard. My family has been able to add Palo bookings onboard a few times.

You can also keep an eye out to see if anyone cancels over the next few weeks. I haven't noticed a surge in cancellations any time after the last online check-ins open at 30 days, but people may change their minds at any time.

Honestly it is going to be tough. A lot of time for short cruises Palo brunch books before even gold or silver is open. You might get lucky and grab a cancellation and it is worth checking once onboard but it is a very popular reservation.

I was able to find Palo brunch reservation for one adult only on our upcoming 4 nights Wish cruise. Would it be possible to add my husband to the reservation once we are on board?

Pre-cruise tables for two have been known to fill up, also. If you can’t get a reservation, definitely try once onboard.

Shouldn't be an issue. We did this once because it only gave us the option for 2 people, but needed 3. They said adjusting party size is easy as long as you have the reservation.

Due to COVID and some other maladys, I had two cruises cancelled a couple of weeks before the sailing date. I was able to get a Palo Brunch reservation on both cancelled cruises as well as my first actual cruise last summer. So yes... you can get a reservation at the last minute, and if you check the app every day (or even twice a day), I'd suspect you are likely to get a reservation.

People start cancelling their reservations as the cancellation deadline approaches. Disney doesn't penalize you for overbooking, so many people book everything they MIGHT want to do, and then refine it in the weeks prior.

Just get a reservation on board. We book last minute several times a year. Have never not been able to get a palo reservation once on the fantasy.

Fantasy offers so many more spots due to all the sea days than the Wish will have on a quick 3 night. It is going to be much more difficult to secure on a 3 night Wish sailing

I wouldn’t expect one but always check onboard. Mathematically there isn’t enough space to get everyone a spot at Palo brunch on the 3 nighters

I wish they’d offer an alternate to Palo to use the “$100” as we aren’t fans..

Didn’t realize you were asking about palo brunch. That will be tough. We always book palo dinner when we board the fantasy. And we have our pick of nights and times.

They will open up a waitlist for palo brunch. I have been on cruises where they added brunch another port day because the waitlist was so long.

Haven’t been able to get a brunch reservation ahead of time the last 2 cruises but was able to get one once onboard the Wish last year and the Wonder last week.

It is difficult with a 3 day cruise. We are on the 3 day before you and brunch is only offered one day (Nassau). Given the number of concierge rooms and other folks having already booked during their booking window, trying on board is the probably your best bet.

I would check daily in the last month before sailing if it is important to you. More than once per day on the weekends, which is when a lot of people adjust their plans. The biggest flurry of cancellations will be in the week leading up to the cruise before the 3-day cancellation mark.

I’d check daily and if not when you get onboard. Since your cruise you know how that works

We booked the EBTA pretty late and few activities and experiences - including NO Palo and just a couple Remy - were available. Once we got on the ship, pretty much everything became available… including Royal Gathering, etc.

I’m guessing DCL withholds a limited number of reservations… plus people book and cancel since it gives them time to make a decision.

Have you ever seen First Night Palo sold out? When something says sold out on the app do they ever open it back up? Boarding group 20 and I’m worried about getting on to request any type of Palo.

Make sure you're in all of your cruise groups, people tend to cancel and change things as they finalize their plans the week of. I know personally we dropped palo brunch a week before our last sailing. When I did we posted in the groups saying hey we are about to drop this. I cancelled it right when someone was waiting to snag it.
