YouTube TV Packages

I'll have to check out the channel lineups. We're a multigenerational household, so we most likely will need to stay with the full package. Because the grandparents will complain if they no longer have access to Perry Mason or whatever else they watch. As long as it has Hallmark, Travel, and rapidly airs reruns of Dateline I'm good, lol. Although I do enjoy my morning news to confirm how much of a hassle my daily commute will be.

Yes, YouTube TV has all of those channels. Plus, you will be hooked up to you local affiliates for ABC, NBC, CBS & FOX, & PBS-TV, (you input your zip code,) so you can watch your regular news programs.

If you'd like a referral code for $15 off, PM me. :surfweb:

You need to be on a computer (can't do it through the App or TV), but when you go to YouTube TV on your computer, it's under 'Settings'. The offer is under there. I just found it - thanks for the heads up. :thumbsup2

It is there, you just have to dig for it. Look at your account details and the plan, that is where I found it.

Yes, its under membership, then manage. I found it, thank you!!!

I'm not so sure the $20 off for four months offer is on everyone's account. I somehow think it's targeted, maybe to those who already aren't getting a promo. I'm speculating here.

I searched in those places. I agree it's probably for a targeted demographic.

I was so happy when Verizon put in fiber optic around here and I could switch to Fios for $55 a month and YouTubeTV instead of the outrageously expensive and not very reliable Xfinity we had before for internet and cable. I like live local news and all the other channels I have access to.

My landlord won't allow any FIOS cables to be installed in our building. We actually didn't have many other ways to get Internet service. So, I was stuck with Spectrum Cable for nearly $200/mo for years. Initially, I unfortunately got their bundled package. They never offered any discounts after the initial sign up discount. And to separate them would have jumped the price of the one service I was keeping almost by double. I just knew at the beginning I shouldn't have signed up for a bundle. :headache: :badpc:

When I found out Verizon developed a totally wireless Internet service, (I just have this cute, white, cordless router/modem box. I suspect it's basically the guts of a cellphone's wireless Internet connection and hotspot capabilities wrapped up in an oversized, stationary box.) I had two cellphones with Verizon and the Internet connection has always been impeccable. (I also have a clear skyline to all the cell/Internet towers here.)

So I made the jump to wireless and got YouTube TV (separately) with it. NO MORE BUNDLES EVER! I like having the freedom now to switch services when better TV offers come up. I have never looked back. In the two years I've had my Verizon router/modem box, I think I've only had to reboot it a total of 5-6 times. Service almost never goes out. 🥰

I am wondering if we will be able to switch between different packages. Only do the sports package, during certain seasons, etc.

You have to get the basic YouTube TV package. It comes with a LOT of channels. You can even set the lineup so your favorite channels are on top of the screen, and hide the ones you don't watch.

There are a lot of NFL channels, NBA, WNBA, NBC Sports, CBS Sports network, BTN, FS1, a Golf channel, and a few other sports networks. I don't watch them so I have all the included sports channels hidden.

Also ESPN 1 & 2, a few other ESPN channels, DISNEY and ABC.) Except when Disney is having a price war with YouTube. That happened about a month ago and we lost those channels for about two and a half weeks. (We got $20 for that time off.) So, we should be good for another year or two before they go through that again.

There are a few sports packages you can add on separately to the basic package, a month at a time and cancel those whenever. Also, YouTube TV is monthly. You can "suspend" your account at any time and come back later.

Perhaps it’s for new customers who’ve never used YTTV?

No, I think it's our demographic area: the metro NYC/NJ area. Whenever there are commercials for restaurant deals like, for instance, Olive Garden's $7.99 specials, the price we have at the restaurant is instead $12.99 for the same special. And some deals we don't get at all. We haven't had McDonald's "Dollar Menu" in years. Ours is a "$3 & up Menu."
