You're Going AGAIN?????

No, this has been an extremely snowy winter and it's not fair!!!! Can Maine have snow in April....yes.......usually 6inches or more.....no!!!! :confused3

Well, it's been one of those days.....I made Pam upset for stating she may not deserve to go to Disney, I made Karen upset as I haven't posted on her ptr for a bit, and I freaked out as I thought I was going to lose my job and then we would really, and I mean really screwed!!! Oh, and did I mention we are expecting 8 to 14 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow??? OMG!!!

The job thing??? Well yesterday Victoria walked from our house to where I work --- only 1/2 mile ---- as she forgot her key to the house. It was 4pm and I get out at 5pm so I just let her stay with me and listen to her ipod. My work is highly confidential so the policy is that anyone who is not an employee of DHHS is not allowed in the office. I know this and I understand this but really, she's 13.....who the heck is she going to tell. Especially since I deal with the out of state cases (non custodial parents who live in another state), I doubt there is any name she would recognize or even give a rat's butt about. Still, policy is policy and with the state of our government lately, I was genuinely concerned. There were just 2 people about a month back who were escorted out of the building due to confidentiality issues, so yeah, I was nervous. Finally around noon I asked the supervisor if everything was ok. He stated that yes, since she doesn't do it on any regular basis, this one time was fine. Whew........

Now if only Pam and Karen still liked me...........:confused3

You didn't upset me AT ALL! I was just joking with you!!!! :lovestruc

I'm glad it didn't jeopardize your job, surely they wouldn't fire you for that?!?!? :headache:

I hope tomorrow is better for you!!! And I'm wishing away the snow! Here's a special dance to make the snow go away! :dance3:

Yes, Karen.....I knew you were joking. I'm giving it right back!!! By the way....your snow dance didn't work....or maybe you did the wrong dance. It is snowing like mad here. It's awful. My tulips were just starting to poke up and now they are going to be buried again. Ugh!! :scared1: And us state employees got a snow day today so I'm here with my Victoria. Ok, well, honestly, she's chatting on Skype and I'm updating my report, so I guess we are together, but not. Maybe later we'll watch a movie together ---- I had preordered Tangled and according to the package tracking, it should be here today, but with the storm, who knows. She also has to read for homework this weekend, so we'll see. Meanwhile I'm getting some laundry done, too. The storm is messing with my Direct TV signal. Man.....I'll be sad if I lose the signal alltogether.

So, I hope everyone is having a great day!! Remember if you all get bored you can shop my avon site! ;)

Ah, wish I could shop Ann! Car is broke down and I'm broke, broke, broke right now!

Sorry, I must have done the no-snow-dance for MY area, we're going to warm up to the 60s this weekend! Sorry!!! But yay me! At least you get a day home with your girl! :lovestruc

Oh Ann, I love you! I'm certainy not upset either! :rotfl: So wow, what a snow day for April 1st. We're not buried under snow, but it' been a snow/rain mix of crap since last night. It's just a yucky day here. Glad everything was ok with your job! You don't need those problems.

Nice, Karen, you're getting temps in the 60s. Oh I can't wait for that!

You had me nervous about your job for a second there, Ann! I see where you're coming from: Victoria is a child and has no idea who the people are from the cases you're working! I understand confidentiality, but sheesh! The alternative to her hanging out for an hour, listening to music, was you leaving work an hour early - so clearly you made the right choice. Some company policies are so silly. I've had to literally put badges on my kids to take them into work with me to run in to get something I forgot. It just seems a bit over the top  Well, anyway, thank goodness everything worked out for you! So have you gotten your supplies for your Avon table? I really hope you get some good customers! :goodvibes

Oh believe me Erin, I had myself scared to death about my job!!! If I lost my job the Disney trip would definitely be off, the internet service would be shut off and life would be alot harder than it has been!! I know we have Peter's income, but OMG!! :scared1: Speaking of incomes, I prepared our state income taxes yesterday and learned we owe $610 in taxes to the state. Ugh!! I'm just going to take care of it and not tell Peter as it's my fault anyways.....see, I didn't change my withholdings when I got married so I paid way less taxes than I should have so I feel it's my responsibility to pay this amount. It just sucks. That was Disney money. I know I have time to save more, but still. Yes, I have already changed my withholding so it won't happen again. Poop!!!

So.......we got about 13 inches of snow on Friday. Thankfully it's been warm the last 2 days so it's melting quite nicely. I was a nice wifey and snowblowed the driveway so that Peter could make it in on Friday. Today, it's right down to the tar and dry, so it's all good. I'm thinking about moving the bunnies outside to their hutch today. It won't be below freezing again, so I think they would be fine.....but the overprotecting furry Mama that I am thinks oh they could stay in another 2 weeks or so....It will be nice to have the area by my sliding glass patio doors to ourselves again.

We actually had a family movie night last night. I didn't do any activites but we were all in the same room at the same time to watch Tangled. Oh, I love this movie. It was really good!! I think you would all like it.

I'm excited!! A couple of my friends and I are going to a scrapbooking convention in Manchester, NH on the 29th. It's just for the day and we are basically going down to visit all the vendors. We'll be leaving at 7am and not returning until about 9pm. I can't wait!!! It will also give me a good idea of the timing of driving to Manchester, since that's where we are flying out of. See, it's always about Disney, isn't it??

I'll be order Avon product today for the scrapbooking event on the 30th. There's more money that has to go out, but hopefully I will get new customers from this. If I don't start making some money (or at least breaking even) I'm going to have to quit the Avon business. OR I need to stop buying for myself...hee hee....:rotfl: I also have to print out some pictures to scrapbook today. Now that the Disney one is done, I need more pictures to do. I keep them on my flash drive until I need them. I think I'm on Christmas of 2009....oooooppppssss!!!

13 inches!!!:scared1::scared1: I actually talked about you to my mom on Saturday. She was complaining about the crazy weather, and I told her at least we were not getting another foot of snow like a friend of mine on the DISboards. Were your ears burning?:lmao: I'm glad it is melting and hope that it is it for the snow. FOR ALL OF US!!!!!!:goodvibes

That sucks about your Taxes, I hope it doesn't put to much a damper on your Disney Trip. I know I need to stop spending money on Disney Stuff at home and start putting money away for spending at Disney. At least I changed to a DP so that puts alot let stress on me on having spending money for the TS meals.

I know what you mean about scrapbooking, I was so gung ho about making a book for our trip in 2009 and have only done a couple of pages and those were done when I was on bed rest for my last pregnancy.:sad2:

OH so you're responsible for that burning in my ears....thanks alot!!! :rotfl2: Yeah, that storm has got to be the last of it....so crazy!!! I just hope we all have wonderfully warm and sunny summers. I would really like to utilize our pool as much as possible.

As for the taxes, it really sholdn't effect the trip too much. My mortgage payment is actually going down now due to having taxes and insurance in escrow and both of those 2 expenses went down. Imagine!!! So, that will be a savings of $200 per month that I can put towards Disney. But then again, I have to pay for Victora's summer camp at $160 per week so who knows. Peter will make sure we go. I just will feel bad if I can't pull my own weight with the expense. It will all work out. After all, the plane tickets are already bought.

Ann, I'm just posting so you can curse me...I have my AIR CONDITIONER on! I have no idea why, but we got a bizarre warm from and it's 85 degrees here! Don't be too mad, it's going right back down in the 50s tomorrow.

Sorry about the tax issues, but I'm glad that it won't have a big impact on the trip!

Oh yucky taxes!!! Glad you're able to take care of it and make it go away though. And yuck for that snow! It's been in the low 50s here and we go out, but it's been so windy everyday that it feels like the 40s, so i'm still waiting for our nice weather too. A scrapbooking convention sounds like a blast too! :cool1:

I'm actually going to look online right now to see which redbox around me has tangled. We haven't seen it yet. The girls can't wait to watch it. We'll be doing that tonight. I'm willing to drive to a redbox ANYWHERE to get it :rotfl:

Ugh, that is too bad about the state taxes, but it is good to hear that some other expenses were lowered. So between that and camp, it looks like you're breaking even :thumbsup2 I'm so glad you liked Tangled. It is definitely a new favorite of mine! I am waiting to order it tomorrow when I can order Tron too on target.com through the My Points site so I can spend enough to get 8 points per dollar! Yes, you ladies have inspired me to use My points and I've earned about 700 points so far just by online shopping for my son's birthday :cool1:

Have fun at that scrapbooking event! I think it's too cute (and in typical DIS form) that you are multitasking it to time your drive there for your flight! :lmao: Atta girl!

Hi all......Not too much is going on here. The snow that we got last Friday is just about melted, thank goodness. Would you believe I even grilled steaks outside tonight??? You cannot imagine how good it tasted. Unbelievable!! I don't like cooking steak inside, so for me, it's been a LONG winter with no steak!!! (sorry, Karen!) :thumbsup2

I have been reading those ptr's that some of you are keeping, even though I haven't been posting replies that much. I guess I don't have anything really wise or informative to say. Tomorrow I bring Victoria up to Bangor for her checkup for her scoliosis. I'm taking the day off from work and our appointment is at 10AM, so we will have the whole rest of the day together. I think I may take Victoria to see Hop. I am also going to be moving the bunnies outside for the summer, so I'll have to wash out all the cages once they are outside. I guess it will be a rabbit themed day. :lmao: My Avon order should be coming in either tomorrow or Saturday, too, so I'll have enough to keep me busy --- AND--- it's supposed to be sunny and in the high 50's!!! I'd like to start practicing with my camera I got for Christmas, too. I ordered a bunch of little mini bubble baths that I will be tying to my business card and brochure for the scrapbook event on the 30th. I'm reall trying my bestest to get more customers. I've also put my cards up on the community board at Shaw's.

I bought some strawberry plants, the ones you get in a plastic bag, and one of them has started to sprout. There were 10 in there and only one is sprouting. I don't call that very good odds. I do have a bunch of seeds I'm going to start soon. I always start the season with good intentions and then never seem to tend to my garden very well. Maybe this year.... :confused3

Hey Ann! I'm finishe pouting and back on the Dis. All caught up I think.

I'm so glad your supervisor was understanding about Victoria being at your job. That must have been so stressful! Bummer about the taxes too. :(

You better be careful pushing Karen's buttons. She's the Godmother of the Mouse Mafia ya know and she might send one of her lackey's after you. :lmao:
