You're Going AGAIN?????

Well, I'll wait a little while longer and then book a breakfast somewhere else.....It will have to be at one of the resorts, though, because by then all the park days will have been used......

OH, I just know Ohana's will open up!!!

Your pages are terrific!! It's hard to pick a favorite, but I really love the Crystal Palace and Splash Mountain ones! Sounds amazing to me-- a day to scrapbook and relax with friends!

Oh ADRS can be so stressful!!! SOOOOOO if you look at my sig. you'll see that I started my pre trip report......why you ask because we're not going next June........................ WE'RE GOING THIS DECEMBER AND I'M SOOOO EXCITED!

Yeah, I didn't even bother to reply at first as I was too much in a hurry to go to Pam's pretrip report to be the FIRST ONE THERE!!! :cool1: :lmao: So, now that I've gotten that over with, I'm back to my own....

Oh, the lovely ADR's.....ugh!!! I have been trying since I discovered my mistake in not booking Ohanas for breakfast on the 19th, to try to book SOMETHING!! The online reservations told me that every single restaurant on that day was booked from 7am to 11am....I really couldn't believe that so finally I got fed up and CALLED. The cm Hope was so sweet. She found us a 9:15am breakfast ressie at..........

CHEF MICKEY'S

I'm good with this. It's one we haven't been to before and it has characters, so it's all good. I wanted to finish the trip out with a bang and I think this is a good way to do it. Besides it's a buffet and that always works out well for us. Now that ALL the ADR's are made, there will really be nothing more to do except enjoy the summer. We have the pool now, so it should be a great summer. We sooooooo deserve it since we've had one million feet of snow this winter!!! :scared1: And to answer everyone's question, no, there is no green grass yet. In fact, in some places we can't even see the grass yet as it is still under at least one foot of snow. Boy did we get hammered this year!!! :sad2: I really kicked butt on my scrapbooking last Saturday and I'm almost finished 2010's Disney trip book. I just had my 5x7's printed up from the photopass cd so those will be the last ones to scrap. I just wish I had another event to go to..... But we have another state shut down day tomorrow so I will be all alone while Peter is at work and Victoria is at school. I bet there will be some scrapbooking done!!! I do have a doctor's appointment at 4pm, but that will give me the whole day!! :woohoo: I'll make sure to post some pages for you all.....

Congrats on Chef Mickey's! I've heard breakfast there is better than dinner, and what a great way to end the trip!! I'm glad you called and got something! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: You're too funny! BUT....you did make it firs! :thumbsup2 Congrats on getting Chef Mickey's. I definitely wanna do that one too. I'm going to try to hold out on getting too excited about TS meals as I think we may have to go with the QSDP if free dining isn't offered :sad2: I'm really hoping it is though because we've neve done any of those exciting meals before.
Good for your scrapbooking stuff. When we got back from our trip in 09 my brother's girlfriend bought me a Disney scrapbook with stickers and fun pages. I was proud of the job i did, i'm usually not very creative.

Wow!!! What an emotional day today....So, I get to work and of course open my Yahoo mail and got notifications that both Hope and Erin had updated their PTR's. Cool!!! I can't wait to find out what's happening now! So, I go over to Erin's ptr and start reading the post....oh, this is not sounding good. I continue to read and phew....at least her trip is just postponed and not cancelled. whew.....I got a little excited thinking she may be going during the same time as I was....then I kept reading....nope....oh well. I was happy she was still going!!! :thumbsup2

Then it was onto Hope's ptr.....oh yeah, I got that same sinking stomach feeling as I got when I started reading Erin's but the outcome was worse...Hope's trip was cancelled. I am so sad for her, but like she said, this is the best thing for her family and that's what's really important!

I then got a telephone call from my Aunt asking for my mother's phone number in Florida. See, she is on vacation in Florida right now trying to relax. I thought, "oh no....what bad news is this going to be?" I really didn't want to give her the number, but I kind of had to, right? My Aunt then tells me that my Uncle had a heart attack. He's fine....he has a stent (sp??) and is feeling much better now. I really don't think my mom needs to know this while she's on vacation, but it's really not up to me to decide that. My Aunt then tells me that my other Aunt passed away on Friday. OMG!!! She was my Aunt by marriage, but still.....She hadn't been feeling well, but I don't believe anyone thought she would die. So now Aunt Bea was going to call my Mom while Mom is on vacation and tell her this news???? I just don't feel that is necessary!! Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I feel. Well, if anyone was going to tell Mom, it was going to be me. I did call and let her know. She thanked me for letting her know, but I still didn't feel good about it. Ugh! Mom called me about 2 hours later stating she did call Aunt Bea and felt alot better about everything. There's really nothing she could do even if she came home ---- my Uncle is feeling better and my Aunt didn't want to have any type of service or viewing, so Mom needs to just stay in Florida for another 2 weeks and enjoy the rest of her vacation.

Onto Disney news......as you all know, I'm just waiting for the dates for MNSSHP to come out. One website (not Disney) already had one of the dates being September 13th which would work out perfectly for me. But, that means I would have to do some switching of my ADR for that day....ugh!! Well, after reserving and cancelling 3 different places, I decided on the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. Awesome, right?! I got a perfect time and it will all work out great! Then I read on the boards that I shouldn't trust those dates and that I can only believe in the dates on the Disney site...GREAT! I just spent an hour panicked and switching stuff around to learn that it may have been all for nothing! OMG!!! :scared1: I just can't wait for the dates to come out.

Today, I got notification of another scrapbook event coming up at the end of April. Just for the heck of it, I emailed the organizer to ask if I could possibly set up a little table of AVON stuff to try to sell. I would have a little bit of product and of course brochures and business cards. I would also provide a gift basket for the raffle and have little samples that the guests could take home with them......you know what??? She said YES!!! OMG!!! :scared1: My first "show" of some sort. I'm beyond excited!!! I'll be placing an extra large order to have stuff onhand for the show. I can always return it if it doesn't sell. Isn't that cool??? I think I'll also do something like 10% off any orders placed that day or offer a free gift with online purchase....so cool!!! :cool1:

That's great news Ann! I hope you sell a bunch of stuff!

I wouldn't worry too much about MNSSHP, they do change things occasionally, but honestly, they do that sometimes really close to the dates, so there's no way of ensuring the dates anyway. I would say the leaked dates are probably correct, when you look at the Sept. hours on the TA site, does MK close on the 13th? That would mean there's a party.

I didn't really make any changes after seeing the Oct. hours, but I did switch around an ADR here or there b/c I think I came up with a better plan. I guess I could share that on my PTR, huh? I forgot!

For your sake, I hope September 13 stays a MNSSHP date!!
So sorry about your family-- I'm kind of like you. With nothing for your mom to do, it's not the greatest to ruin her vacation. I'm glad she felt better after talking to your aunt, though.

So it was not a good email opening up day huh! I agree when one is on vacation, if there's nothing they can do, tell them bad news when they get home. Hope your Mom is having a lovely time. And hope your uncle is feeling better soon.

Oh ADRs are so stressful. This is the first year i'll be dealing with that. Can't wait.... I'll be in the same boat waiting for MVMCP dates to be announced. I'm not 100% sure we're attending but i'm leaning towards it. Even if we don't we'll still need those dates to avoid the MK that day.

Hopefully that party date ends up being correct and you dont have to move anything around again!

Crossing my fingers that the dates stay the same for MNSSHP. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about all that has happened with your family.

Congrats on getting to set up your table at the scrapbooking event. :woohoo:

All caught up! I am loving your scrapbook pages. My favorite picture so far is of you and Victoria in the stocks with the caption “We are NOT drama queens!” and you are both making the same face! Adorable! I’m glad to hear things are going well with her and counseling also. Oh, and what a bad day you had the other day! My trip, Hope’s trip, then – worst of all – the call from your aunt! I think you were right to be the one to break the bad news to your mom. It probably meant a lot to her to hear all of that from you and to be able to talk to you so she could feel better.

What a great idea you had about getting a table set up for your Avon business at the scrapbooking event! I hope you sell a lot of products and get a lot of new loyal customers! Good luck!

Hi all.....as my Facebook buddies know, I've been dealing with Victoria since she has yet another UTI. I'm sure I've mentioned in our introductions that she does get UTIs frequently but this was a particularly bad one. It all started Wednesday evening when she went to the bathroom. She started screeching and I mean LOUDLY!! I get in there and she's holding her stomach, shaking and crying. I felt her forehead and she did feel hot. It took a while for her to be able to get up and when she did, she cried even more. With her history, I don't usually take her to the ER --- I usually wait until morning when they have walk-in appointments at her pediatrician's. What a LONG night that was. The only thing I could do was give her Motrin and rub her belly....all night long! Neither Peter nor I got more than one hour of sleep. Peter --- what a wonderful man. He volunteered to stay up with her and let me sleep. Of course I wouldn't have any of that! We both did end staying up all night with her until she finally fell asleep at 5am. I couldn't wait for 8am to come! That's what time the doctor's open. So, after the urine test and exam, they determined she had another infection. Ugh!! Amoxicillin here we come. Good thing she doesn't mind the taste at all. She'll be on that medicine for the next 7 days. We went to Wal-mart, got her meds and I got her settled at home and I went into work for noon. I work not even 1 mile away and I can be home in 2 minutes if needed. I really need to save up my time if I can for our trip and also for the many appointments both she and I have on a normal basis like next week --- both of us have appointments and one of hers is in Bangor (about 2 hours away) for her back. I felt pretty guilty going to work, but at least she was ok. Thursday night was another hard night for Victoria but she did sleep a little more. I got to sleep a little more, too, but I was so uncomfortable because I slept with Victoria...ouch. This morning she was just a tiny bit better so I went to work again. Peter said he was going to come home early so she wouldn't be alone for the whole day. I got home at 5pm and found Peter on the couch with Victoria sleeping on him.....too cute! That man is one hell of a father to her and he's not even her bio dad!!! She woke up around 6:30pm and seems a whole lot better right now. Yeah!!! I did get a call from the doctor's and the bacteria causing the infection is e-coli. Ugh!!! I have to call back tomorrow just to verify that she is taking the right antibiotic. Apparently they have to check the "absorbtion" --- whatever that means. So, I think we are on the mend now.....we'll see if she sleeps tonight. Lord knows I want to sleep! Tomorrow will be a sticking around the house kind of day. Scrapbooking anyone???

So, I wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes and concern.....we'll get through this one....just like we do every time.....

Yeah, I just wanted Mom to enjoy the remaining 2 weeks of her vacation....

Nope, I really didn't enjoy that day at all!!! I just feel so bad for Hope that she had to cancel her trip. It must be heartbreaking....I really do think that the party will be on the 13th and that really would be perfect for us.

Oh, I am so excited and kind of nervous too about having the AVON table at the scrapbook event. I just hope I'll get some new customers out of it, or it will be a waste. I am bringing my scrapbooking stuff so I don't have to just sit there and do nothing but man my table. I think it will be good.

Thanks for the compliment on my pages. Yeah, sometimes Victoria and I do the exact same thing at the exact same time and our expressions are no different. I tell you, we've always been 2 peas in a pod. I really wanted my mom to have a great last 2 weeks of her vacation, but I think the news was better coming from me than anyone. Oh, I do have to say that if you don't want your mom to find out about something (ie Victoria's infection) don't put it on facebook. I forgot that the lady she is staying with is one of my friends on facebook and she read my latest comments and told my Mom.....Mom calls me up this morning and asks me how everything is...."fine" I said....Mom said "you're lying.....I saw Monique's facebook...." OOOOPPPPPSSSS!!!! She wasn't mad, she just felt bad that I felt I couldn't share any bad news with her. Ugh!!

I am excited about having a table at the event for my AVON. We'll see if that brings me any new customers. I hope so. I'd really like to start MAKING money at it...Not alot....just enough to pay for my own stuff!! So, I'm busily making up business cards and labels. I am ordering little mini bubble baths to give out in the goodie bags they are going to have. I also have a basket of pedicure products for the raffle and I'm going to have another little giveaway. I'm going to have people put their names and emails so I can put them on the auto emailer. I just hope it works. :)

Poor thing! I wonder if she was having bladder spasms. My dd has uti's all the time..and kidney infections too due to her birth defect. She stays on a maintenance does of antibiotics to try and avoid them...and if she misses a couple doses... she gets an infection. It sucks...so I feel for ya. If it is any consolation though, while ecoli sounds scary because of what we have heard of people getting sick with it. It really is a very common bacteria to colonize in the urinary tract system....and thus one of the easier ones to get rid of. So at least there is that... but... with the discomfort she was in... as I mentioned.. I wonder about the bladder spasms. (has she ever had them before?) They tend to be more than your average uti pain... and for my dd... that is the type of pain that send her over the edge. And... for my dd.. they come and go even without infection. I hope that isn't the case for Victoria. I hope she feels better soon and you all get the sleep you deserve!!!
